Thanks. Stationed and lived in Chievres from '77 to '83. Traveled this road so many times! Two of my kids were born in the SHAPE hospital. Three of them went to preschool and kindergarten in a little town on the other side of Chievres. Some of the best years of my life. Merci beaucoups!!

Very cool. I lived in Herchies, postal wise confused with Jurbise often. 85 to 88. Was Air Force and maintained the TACAN and ILS systems on Chievres.

I'm a Flemish woman living between Brussels and Antwerp and I do hope that you all who are stationed here visit Belgium as it is. And please don't eat in that Chinese restaurant I certainly wouldn't even think about it. Please visit our beautiful cities like Gent, Leuven, Brussel, Mechelen, Antwerpen, Brugge.

My mom made that drive with us so many times in two years of living there. Those were the days. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for sharing your video. I’ve enjoyed watching it. I was stationed at SHAPE with assignment to 80th ASG (NSSG) 1994 - 1997 and worked at the DOL at Daumeri Casserne. It's nice to see my old stomping grounds. I can see that it has change little since I left.

Left there in 1974. A lot of it has not changed at all. The restaurants were not there back then.

Lived in Daumerie Caserne behind the bar back in 2004. They were just finishing up the new barracks on the air base then. Very fond memories of that place.

SO nice to see this! Especially as you got close to Chievres, as my parents both worked there (my mom ran the bookstore on base for a number of years), and Brugelette (we lived just over the railroad tracks, and before that in Ath). I hope I get to take my kids there to see it in person one day. :-)

LOL I used to live in Obourg-Saint Denis when I went to school there. Remember the Patisserie shop out by Chievres. Delicious strawberry tarts.

You forgot to tell the people about Right/Before left and priority roads. It looked like during the turn you slowed down due to confusion of the rule, Right before left or priority road sign. Good quality vid, I'm impressed. I need to post some of my Germany driving vids and my tour of Normandy, France.

Chiev is so distasteful, new people make think it is a different town.if your last name was brown should we call you bro?think of other people before you shorten names. I known you must be young and have been a lot of places that if your spouse were not in the military you would be back on i don't know maybe the fram? Grow up and think of other people. You were lost when you first got to SHAPE. Oh and talk with a more up beat tone, you sounded as if you did not want to be there. You should have shown more street name signs. Just saying
