I assume the NIMH battery was 7 cell? A 2S LiPo is actually slightly lower voltage (1 volt) The mah is just an indication of how long it will run. On 3S I have trouble keeping the front end down over half throttle.
Didn't know about the voltage difference between the NIMH and a 2s lipo. I know mah is just battery capacity, I was thinking it was voltage drop under load which happens more with a smaller mah battery. But the voltage difference makes sense.
