That’s interesting! You guys in the US still have the plastic straw whereas in Germany they replaced it with a straw made of cardboard… NGL, it doesn’t taste as good as back in the day, although the sustainability is of course way higher with cardboard.
This was an awesome experiment Trent and entertaining to watch. Brought back some nostalgia for sure! Whenever you try this again, are you going to try a different yeast strain? Like a wine yeast? I imagine that would come off more of a Moscato than anything. Anywho, looks tasty and I really want to give this a try one day, cheers!
@@TheBruSho I have used Impact brand Allulose monk fruit sweetener in the past with good results! My last one I used was for a Strawberry Pineapple Sparkling kombucha wine I made that was off dry!
We just love how you are thinking outside of the box here. Gives a whole new nostalgia feel to Capri Sun! Can't wait for the 90's Crystal Pepsi to make an adult come back!
Working in the oil field at a dry camp and not being allowed to leave the premises, I would ferment various juices or anything that was available. All with bread yeast. Even fermented powerade a few times. It was horrible. I would ferment some apple juice and sugar packets with bread yeast in water bottles and bury them in the snow to freeze distill. Almost anything with sugar can be fermented, but it doesn't mean that it should be 😂
My wife and I would make capriritas. Put the capri sun in the freezer freeze then cu the top off and tos in a shot of tequila or what ever alcohol you want. Super tasty. lol
What happened to Ecto Cooler? I made a pale ale with 4 oz Idaho7 and 4 oz Cascade thrown in whirlpool (no other hops) and I swear it tasted like Ecto Cooler, but couldn't find any for reference. :(
I've never seen you happier drinking! Now time to do some research to see how much flavour would be saved if you upped the gravity to five percent with a bit of dextrose. Cheers! Also ferment some Orbitz... maybe it was only available in Canada...
Man, talking about experimental brew... Surprised how it works as a combo, you could add custom flavours next time to make fruity (Maybe Pineapple, Peach, Orange, Melon etc.)
Clicked ▶️ and haven't even watched the video. But I am confiscating the kiddos Capri Sun. I grew up on Frutsi in 🇲🇽. But give mi ideas. 👍 cheers from Phoenix, AZ 🍺
So hypothetically let’s say I found 4 sealed boxes of 16 year old capri suns in my grandmas basement. Would it hypothetically be safe to drink them? Edit: and if not would boiling and chilling them make it safe to drink?
Come back next time when I’ll try fermenting Crystal Pepsi 😅
Cool. That Capri Sun was a rare treat when I was growing up. Definitely gonna check out the Mountain Dew wine video. I love Dew!
CORRECT
Dang dude! VFX is top notch! Can't wait for TheBruMovie
😅 Haha thank you!
This is so well done. I’m digging that branded growler!
I’m pretty sure craft master growlers was once a sponsor of brulosophy. Might be able to get yourself one!
I'm LOVING this trend of using non traditional ingredients for homebrew! Definitely adding this one to my list 😂
Love this. I, too, desperately wanted liquid-metal-transformation powers as a kid thanks to The Secret World of Alex Mack and Capri Sun commercials.
Really Appreciate Your Video , Thanks ! 🐯🤠

Oh wow yeah they should probably update that. I’m always surprised by coffee shops that still use plastic straws, especially in California
I wonder if you back sweeten it back up to 1.020 what kind of difference you would notice between the original.
I'd think it would taste pretty similar to the original, but I don't know that it needs the sweetness back
This reminds me of the Chūhai that you find in Japan
Awesome video! Definitely brings me back, and now I want to try that! I'm with you though, I'd add some more sugar to bring up the ABV. 🤘🍻
Go big or go home!
more and more we can see this mushroom extract to substitute preservatives. It's very good that the industry is going this way!
Totally Rad BruDude!
😎🤙
I tryed it and Loved it. It is amazing how the tast still stays.

Good question. I think I liked the Voss and would probably keep that but add more sugar so it’s stronger.
This channel is so cool. Well-done as always!
Really appreciate that!
This is so great 🔥
Nice! Love the edits! Sounds like a good little alternative to beer or hard seltzer! Cheers 🍻
Yeah I was surprised it actually worked and tasted decent. Perfect for the warm weather ahead!
Brilliant!!!
I wonder if the monk fruit is new. I had one of these not long ago and it tasted weird af and not how i remembered. I bet thats why.
Yeah definitely, I feel like monkfruit is a more recent trend
Looks like a fun drink to make! Great video as always:)
I’m guessing the monk fruit would help with the back sweetening!?
Yeah I think it gave it a slight bit more sweetness in the end
@@TheBruSho I have used Impact brand Allulose monk fruit sweetener in the past with good results! My last one I used was for a Strawberry Pineapple Sparkling kombucha wine I made that was off dry!
Thanks for the inspiration. Trying this with the Fruit Punch flavor. I'll let you know how it turns out!
So cool! Definitely want to try this, especially with some more sugar at the beginning.
Also, totally spotted those 40’s in the fridge! 😂🍻
cheers!!!

Thank you so much! I love trying something weird and definitely plan to do more things like this to get people excited about homebrewing!
Entertaning content, thanks. Have you ever fermented milk? But not like kefir, more like a boosy drink?! Would it even work?
I have not but been thinking about trying something like that. Just didn't know if many people would be interested.
@@TheBruSho I think it would be gross as hell, but id want to taste it at least once. I think i saw it in game of throne
Man you nailed the nostalgia factor. Beer looks great too

so was there anything good out of it?
Next experiment could be, making a hybrid. So a fruity ipa with half beer, half fermented caprisun?
Braj ! All the cool kids had capri-Sun. The sad kids had juice boxes lol. Killer editing in this video.
Haha I remember sometimes getting those juice barrels. Those were cool too ha, thanks dude!
I think at this rate you have to do Sunny D, if it's even possible?
Very cool, nice job!!
Used to mix capri-sun with vodka. Called it Capri-Fun 😎
Alex Mack was definitely my first childhood crush 🍻
Haha such a good show
What was that song at the end?
A royalty free song: Aves - Chemical Reaction
Sick keg. I want one
Craftmaster growlers, expensive but nice.
@TheBruSho ouch. Yip, you weren't kidding. Shipping to my part of the world really kills that idea. Haha. Still neat.
My wife and I would make capriritas. Put the capri sun in the freezer freeze then cu the top off and tos in a shot of tequila or what ever alcohol you want. Super tasty. lol
Holy cow that sounds bomb!
Currently fermenting a slurpee wine
haha no way!
I'm looking forward to the psychedelic capri sun you will be brewing one day
As usual another killer video dude! Cheers 🍻
Thanks buddy!
Where’d can one get the keg?
Craftmaster Growlers, but there are a lot of cheaper options out there for small kegs
how long did it take to ferment
Now I want a capri-sun
Still hits the spot!
What kind of yeast do you use?
There's a market for psilocybin cooler...
I would be eager to test it for you 🍻
😅🍄
What happened to Ecto Cooler? I made a pale ale with 4 oz Idaho7 and 4 oz Cascade thrown in whirlpool (no other hops) and I swear it tasted like Ecto Cooler, but couldn't find any for reference. :(
Oh man I used to love that too. It might be a limited release thing. If I see it imma buy a bunch and ferment it haha
How to make kvass from coconut water?
You're a mad man! But seriously, this looks really cool and fun to do and break out for a party and share. LOL
have any explanation for the 40s? :)
Was working on a recipe vid for malt liquor. Might post it eventually
I would love to try this method with Gatorade 🤔

Orbitz we’re wild! I’d love to figure that one out

That’s an awesome idea!
@@TheBruSho Oh yes! Trust me it would be true summers drink of childhood memories!
Dry hop with some citra next time? 👀
Hot damn now we're talkin!
Mmmmm.. siliciben capri...😅
this is hilarious

awesome video!
and i like that you gave the option of boozy and light/refreshing
Yoohoo milk stout 😅
Adult capri sun! Lol.
You should ferment Hugs
My grandma always had those deck! So good
@@TheBruSho IDK how many preservatives they have, but I know they are loaded with sugar and always loved them as a kid.

At first I thought ewww why do this at the end I'm thinking I could drink a half dozen of these while I mow the lawn.
Hahah exactly!
❤
Jungle (gym) juice lol
I think is disgusting, but Prime might b interesting given is so popular
Thats an interesting idea but I believe Prime has zero sugar so would be unfermentable. But could be wrong.
