A lot of bosses from cup head are riduculous, but if one took the crown, it would be either hildeberg or ribby and croaks, both turning into unreasonably difficult final phases, that change into weird forms, with rice RAC becoming a slot machine, and hildeberg becoming a crescent.
Monster Party for the NES should be there. One boss battle you beat by just watching them dance for a minute. There was another where you walk reach a giant spider boss only for his corpse to announce "Sorry. I'm dead" and that's it. Not to mention fighting a giant shrimp that morphs into a onion ring and a stack of pancakes. Too many others to mention really...
I can't believe that you didn't include the Fat Man fight from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. He's a big guy in a bomb suit and roller blades! He skates around the level shooting you and stopping you from disarming his bombs. It's awesome!
I have Cuphead, but I suck so bad I can't even get through the first stage yet. It's been called one of the hardest games on the current market, and it definitely lives up to that reputation. But the best thing about it is that it's drawn in the same style as the cartoons I grew up on as a kid.
There’s 100% a learning curve. My sons and I were terrible at it starting out. But it felt like old school NES contra where I still felt I could have done something different and winning/losing was in my control. Took a bit but we eventually beat it and the DLC.
@@Bman32x thats totally true i was so bad at first that i rage quitted at the first run and gun 🤣🤣🤣but after giving it a try again i just fell in love with it and have done 300% in the game and multiple speedruns with sub 1 hour time not so great time though.

Yoshi's Island had some intense boss battles! Raphael the raven was my favorite. The rotating perspective gave me motion sickness, but it was so good at the same time. Outstanding game.
Forrest Kayson is actually a still existing case of a "Virtual Actor", the mostly defunct idea of character being used in multiple games in multiple roles, most famous example I know of is "Laura" from D1, D2, and Enemy 0. Like Laura, Forrest Kayson shows up in at least 3 games, both Deadly Premonitions, and another Swery game "Spy Fiction" where he's a bio-weapon designer who's purposefully exposed to his own creation.
a proper Mysterio boss fight would involve him using his expertise in special effects and optical illusions. after all, Quention Beck was a special effects artist before becoming a criminal.
Professor Nakamura from the Sir Hammerlock dlc for BL2. What an unexpectedly brutal fight! I could hardly believe how long it took me to take down the seemingly puny professor- he's a beast!

there should be an honorable mention for at least one Crusader of Centy boss. The wolf attacks you by hitting himself on the head, causing himself to see stars, that he sends flying at you! Roxie is a sentient string that can only be harmed when the string falls and her heart is exposed. The Mother Monster boss fight is against her heart, which does nothing to attack you and can be beaten in as little as two sword throws. And the five mini-bosses before the final boss are based on the five senses. And the Sense of Taste boss fight plays like a game of Pac-Man.
all of Conker's Bad Fur Day is ridiculous. from it's crude humor to the many references in levels based on Dracula and Saving Private Ryan and Terminator. plus the final boss is a Xenomorph. like what?

Most ridiculous I think is the slot machine in atrocities because I remember running up on it back in the day also all that I can otherwise say is that I bitterly despised the bosses from Castlevania 2 that was a wretched game for bosses

Yeah Melbu’s name is ridiculous, but not as weird as all those forms. Wild Arms 3 pulled similar with its final boss, Nega Filgaia.
