    This is a great message Bryan, and it's my plan to share it with people who need to be saved, especially my family. I would like to make a request for you to follow up this teaching with a video on what a new believer should be doing as a follower of Christ once they've repented and are truly saved...and VERY importantly, what they should expect in their lives thereafter (that is, from the world...and what satan will then dish out). I truly believe this is VITALLY IMPORTANT for new believers.
    After God had been drawing me for some time, I was saved about 30 years ago shortly after attending a Church of God. I'm grateful that they sang the old hymns and seemed to stick to the old ways of doing things back then, but when I look back...the message was always the same old watered down gobbledygook as it was thru the many years of my church attendance until God got me out!
    Having said that...once I was saved (and I truly was repentant) I made mistakes and on occasion sinned and I struggled GREATLY wondering if I had lost my salvation and had damned myself to an eternity in hell. Especially when I became pregnant out of wedlock. You see...God had a lot of work to do in me...and while bringing me through the sanctification process I stumbled and fell several times before I finally got it right. Of course...He's still in the process, and I thank God that He's done a tremendous work in me and has changed me a lot...but if I would have know back then what I know now...it would've saved me from many days...months, and in some cases...years of anguish and uncertainty.
    If I had ONLY been taught what I REALLY needed to know, and to expect the assault from satan and the lies he would bring along with the condemnation, I would've been forearmed, and not waste so much of my life living with a terrible sense of foreboding which I'd endured...of which I am certain...having lived through that very thing...I believe many others have as well.
    Even today...I still wonder if some of the mistakes I'd made (the big ones) somehow changed the dynamic of my relationship with God and his being able to use me as a vessel had I otherwise not sinned such a great sin.
    Like I've said before...I continually learn far more from your teachings in just a few months time than my whole life of "church attendance" and you are greatly appreciated. You and your family are in my prayers.

    He says "I am changing my attitude and I am changing mind", when referring to repenting. No, if there is true repentance, God is changing his attitude and mind. We can NEVER give ourselves credit outside of God. It is the complete work of God.... the salvation as well as the repentance.

    AMEN , I got saved without going to a church meeting or even reading the Bible but solely by turning to Jesus, turning to the physician, willing to turn from how I was living my life because although I didn't understand exactly why, I knew i was making myself and others unhappy. I was willing to be lead by Jesus to follow His way. I agree about organised religion . The Ecclesia are those that are called out of the world, The Body of Christ those that worship God in Spirit and in Truth. I was baptised in The Holy Spirit again without mans intervention, I didn't even know what it was but spoke in strange language and then eagerly read and searched the scriptures from then onward. Following that event I went to a church for a while in fact quite a few but The Lord called me to come out of the ones I had been in when they all one by one turned away from teaching straight from The Bible and introduced false doctrines and practices that are common today and built themselves up into a ridiculous spectacle of oneupmanship . The Lord told me that it was a travesty. (an imitation of the real thing) and to come out from it. I have walked with the Lord for many years now and I fellowship with others that the Lord has led me to in various ways and many but not all have also left the structure of organised and false religion. God doesn't need man to build His Church of living building stones, He is raising up His standard in the nations. I am not saying everyone that goes to the church buildings is sitting under false teaching or are not truly saved but I am saying that many of the structured institutional organised denominational churches that meet in buildings are teaching error having fallen away from Biblical truth and deny the truth of The Way of The Cross, following man made traditions and teach doctrines of Demons (new age Christianity) etc. Many are heeding the call to come out from them.Thus, Ekklesia means “those who are the called-out ones.” Simply put, the invisible church, the true church, it is composed of those who are called by God not only outwardly but inwardly by the Holy Spirit. When Jesus calls someone to discipleship, He is calling that person to Himself, to belong to Him, to follow Him, and to learn from Him and of Him.

    Hey Brian I have a question for you. Lets say somebody is born-again by reading the Bible, or hearing the Gospel on the street, or something along these lines (i.e. not in a church). IMO it is important for that person to have Christian fellowship, so what should that person do if he/she doesn't go to a church?

    Amen brother, we too were part of this 'babble' building system for most of our lives. We've come to the realisation that we were not truly saved, as there was no repentance, no change, we had a profession of faith, but we were not obedient to the word of God. Most of our family and friends are still in this system, its an idol for them, and it also allows them to say they love Jesus while enjoying the things of this world. The Lord led us out of this system and now we worship God in our home, just the three of us. We long to be able to fellowship with some brethren, but while we are trusting the Lord for this, we are tracting and witnessing, understanding that time is short. Thankyou for this teaching, God bless :)

      +Brian060815 Thanyou for your reply, yes Amen there is a definite change when your born again. My understanding of Revelation 3 was that the lukewarm referred to unsaved people, but I also know that church in the Bible refers to saved people. However on reading back over this passage Ive just noticed that this passage is also addressed a little differently to the other churches, as it says, to the church of the Laodiceans rather than, to the church of Laodicea. So my understanding would be that it means to the saved people amongst the Laodiceans, which means that there are unsaved who appear saved, as in the wheat and the tares. I hope I'm making sense!
      Thanyou for the reply, God bless :)

Its been difficult as we have lost family and friends since becoming born-again, but we know that we are not the only ones, as the bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Brother Bryan, I have a question I'm hoping you, or someone can help me with, regarding the 7 churches of Revelation. The word church in the Bible is a reference to saved people, so the 7 churches are all saved. So therefore in Revelation 3:15-16 there are 3 types of Christians, hot, cold and lukewarm, and the Lord is going to spue the lukewarm out of his mouth unless they repent. So does that mean that saved people who are lukewarm can loose their salvation?

    • @lori397
      @lori397 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would say that church does not necessarily mean all that attend it are saved. There are many unsaved people in church buildings and that is why they are told in revelations to repent. For Jesus to spew them out of his mouth means they are vile and my guess would be unsaved.

    • @sharon8989
      @sharon8989 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Lori Thanyou for your reply, yes I was sure it was about unsaved people. Reading back over the address to the Laodicean church, Ive noticed it doesn't say to the church of Laodicea, it says to the church of the Laodiceans. Anyway thankyou again and God bless :)

    • @lori397
      @lori397 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are very welcome Sister, also notice Jesus is standing outside the door knocking not inside the church. If there was saved people inside He would not be outside. God bless you too

    • @sharon8989
      @sharon8989 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sharon Meek Thankyou for the replies everyone, however I'm still not understanding. The seven churches of Revelation are not buildings full of lost and saved, the word church is a reference to saved people, so therefore even in Revelation 3 the letter is still addressed to the saved of the Loadiceans, these letters are all written to saved people. So with that understanding the lukewarm must be saved, as the letter is written to the church, who are saved people.

      As far as I understand it, repentance is a change of mind, that leads to a change of heart, and that results in a change of action.
      If you change your mind but it does nothing to your heart, that's not true repentance.
      If you change your mind, and that changes your heart, but there's no change in action, that also is not true repentance.
      Repentance must yield a change in action, and in direction. It is evidenced by a permanently changed life.

    • @jbr8916
      @jbr8916 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matthew chapter 23 is doctrinally in the Old Testament.
      "For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of a testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth." (Hebrews 9:16-17)
      Jesus is the testator. The New Testament began when He died on the cross. Anything before that is Old Testament doctrinally.

    Brother Bryan,
    Thank you for the sermon on this most important of subjects. I would like to bring up something that is very pertinent to salvation. You are right that repentance is necessary, but ,from my experience, most salvation videos, tracts etc. do not subject the lost man to enough scourging in order to bring him to a repentant state.
    When I got saved (by reading a book on Creationism, that had a lot of Bible verses in bold letters, the rest of the book I now appreciate was of little importance...) I can remember the effect of 2Tim 3 and Rom Ch 1&3 on me.
    In my ''home-made'' tract that I intend to use for witnessing 1.5 out of 3.5 pages is just scourging intended to show the lost man what kind of a maggot he is.
    And if we believe that these are the last days 2Tim 3 and Rom 1 are particularly useful.
    They did the job on me. From the maggot that I was I was turned into a maggot that is saved!
    The fluffy salvation messages do not get the job done. Especially these days. They only result in fake conversions, no repentance involved, easy believism etc.
    What is your view on this matter?

    • @henriquemeiralins
      @henriquemeiralins 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If anyone reading this is not yet saved, please get saved TODAY!
      The Bible says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" ; "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
      All men are sinners and deserve eternity in hell. Because of sin, everyone is spiritualy dead and cannot reach God, we need a Savior.(Eph. 2:1 ; Col. 2:13).
      Romans 6:23
      "For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
      The Bible says all men must be born again! (John 3:3). That is why no matter how Hard we try, we can't get to heaven by our good deeds, we must be born again!
      The Bible says that when we get saved, we are born again! Ephesians 2:5" Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)"
      The Bible says salvation is by faith alone, not of works (Romans 3:28 ; Ephesians 2:8-9) Faith in what? Faith in the blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:25)
      Do you have eternal life? Would you like to have that? Place your trust on WHAT Jesus Christ already did for you on the cross, believe that what he did on the cross is sufficient to save you and you can't add anything to his work. Place your FAITH on his Blood as the only thing that can save you from hell and you shall be saved! (Romans 3:25 ; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4) Will you accept today Jesus Christ's payment for your sins, by faith in his blood, for the REMISSION of ALL your sins?
      Friend, If you do not accept his payment for your sins, you will have to pay for them yourself (Revelation 21:8). Please don't let that happen, accept him TODAY!
      Please watch Robert Breaker's video titled "HOW TO GET SAVED"
      If you got saved because of this please let me know!

      A few of your friends could assemble together that doesn’t mean you’re going to sit in a church. It’s so sad that when you go to a church and try to learn Bible truths the first thing they want you to do is join their church. Joining someone’s church is not a requirement for salvation.

    Brother Bryan, it's amazing how you explain scriptures word by word and still have so many false believers against you. Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Romans 3:9-12 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE: THERE IS NONE THAT UNDERSTANDETH, THERE IS NONE THAT SEEKETH AFTER GOD. THEY ARE ALL GONE OUT OF THE WAY, THEY ARE TOGETHER BECOME UNPROFITABLE; THERE IS NONE THAT DOETH GOOD, NO, NOT ONE. Romans 3:23-26 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. John 2:19-22 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was rising from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this on to them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus has said. Brother Bryan, you are in my prayers. I pray for the Holy Spirit to continue blessing you with strength, courage and good health so you may continue in your ministry "which is truly God's word". I pray to God that he breaks any curse that is wished upon you. God bless you and your family. Thank you for your ministry. It is truly a blessing. Peace be with you.

    You are so right. Jesus did not give an inch to the Pharisees. I have said in preaching, many times, that it is almost as if Jesus tried to talk people out of following Him. I usually follow that up by asking, "Can He?" You know you are sick, and need Him to give you spiritual healing, but like the rich young ruler, the life He offers to you for after you get saved is not what you were looking for.

    Bryan; so the churches in revelation, none of them had a meeting place that was a building? It was just small groups of 2-5 people? Not sure if this really pans out. They had to meet some where, and they were a group f believers. Where did they meet? How many people were there in these churches? Did they take offerings?

      Into what church were believers added (Acts 2:47) after being baptized into Christ (Galatians 3:27)?
      The Church of Christ (Romans 16:16).
      ♥️
      Jesus is not coming back for multiple churches that teach different doctrines and false plans of salvation (Galatians 1:8). He is not a polygamist. He is coming back for His one Bride.

      Belief is all that is required per John. Repentance is not mentioned. Obviously you have repented if you change your mind about who Jesus is. Book of John is the only evangelical book of the NT, written to non Christians. The other books are written to believers. Believe in Jesus as your savior. Not accept, not trust, not ask Him into your heart. Those words are nowhere in the NT. Believe!

    Sir: You spent most of your time ignoring some very important information. The book of Romans was written to "the saints in Rome" They were nearly all gentiles at that time for Caesar had run the Jews from the city. Paul was instructing those Christians that they had drifted away from the very Gospel that they had obeyed. In chapter 6 he points out exactly how these Christians had gotten "into Christ'. They had been "baptized into Christ". Rom 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
    Rom 6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life. They were being pulled by some to live under the old law that ended with the death of Christ on the cross. The admonition in chapter 10 was for THEM, that is the Christians in Rome to "believe and confess". They were drifting away from that commitment. In order to understand the bible correctly you need to study with four principles in mind. 1. Who is speaking 2. To whom? 3. What is the subject? 4 What is the specific issue or authorial intent? Unless you do this there is absolutely no way to understand the bible correctly. Please read Mark 1:1 THE BEGINNING OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD.
    Mark 1:2 As it is written in the Prophets: "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You." Mark 1:3 "A voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD; make His paths straight.' Mark 1:4 John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
    The Gospel as God instructed John the baptizer to preach was for people to repent and be baptized in order to have their sins remitted. Jesus said the same thing when he was ascending back into heaven in Mar 16:16 He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that does not believe shall be condemned. You may not have these passages in your bible but I surely believe you do. Those are the words of the creator of the heavens and earth. Maybe you should include them in your lessons. If you are going to hold yourself out as a teacher of the bible you need to know how. Thanks.

    I am so glad you make it plain. Because I have been confronted by many Oneness Pentecostals about either water baptism being mandatory for salvation or Jesus is really the Father and not the Son... but clearly Jesus, Son of God, God in the flesh, finished the work on the cross! His Blood makes us whole, his blood saves us!

    • @markswinford354
      @markswinford354 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HI Joseph, I studied this damnable doctrine many years ago when it was first revealed to me that John McArthur is a false teacher of this damnable doctrine. First of all, I will tell you what it is not. It is not faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, through Scripture alone. Which is to be fully resting in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ for your sins, through His death on the cross for your sins and His bodily resurrection from the dead, for your complete justification before God, for your salvation. The teachers of Lordship salvation gives mental assent to this doctrine, however, they do not believe it in their heart, (you will know this by their own words from their own hearts when you recognize how they wrest the word;) so they pervert it by teaching Lordship salvation. In a nutshell, they teach that you must make Jesus the Lord of your life in order to be saved. They may vary as to what they mean by it. Denlinger and Mark Hunter are teaching that you must repent/turn from your sins and obey Jesus in order to be saved; obedience to Christ equals salvation to them. It is just another form of works righteousness. "IF" their teaching was true, there would have been no need for the Lord God, the second person of the Godhead/Trinity, Jesus Christ, to come in the form of a man and shed His righteous blood for our sins and die and rise again for our justification; because we would be able to save ourselves through obedience to the example of Christ's life and teachings. Scripture says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Therefore, Lordship salvation is clearly condemned by this one verse alone. Scripture teaches that all you can do to be saved is to trust Christ, according to the pure gospel of Christ and you will be saved immediately, i.e., eternally secure. (You have to believe and agree with God, that you are a lost sinner and an enemy of God, who is headed for eternal damnation in the lake of fire, if you do not trust in the finished work the Lord Jesus Christ for His redemption.) When he and Mark Hunter use the word repentance, they are taking the word out of its context, they are wresting Scripture. Many verses they use as their proof texts are usually dealing with the nation Israel being rebuked by the apostle Peter for rejecting their prophesied Messiah. Acts 3.19 is one of them, in its proper context, in the verses that precede it all the way back into chapter two, Peter is saying to the Jews, repent for having a hand in condemning the Lord Jesus Christ to death and rejecting Him and be converted, i.e., believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. These men gain your trust by teaching from the infallible word of God, the KJV. They read the verse they are wresting and say, "See, this is what the Bible, God's infallible word, says," and they proceed to pervert the passages they are using as their proof texts. Only by placing the verse and the context of the verse back in its proper context, will you be able to recognize and identify them as the wolves they truly are. Unfortunately, many believers do not do this and they are bewitched by this damnable doctrine. However, once it has been pointed out to them that it is heresy, the real believer will run from this doctrine and any teacher promoting it, no matter how "good" their other teachings may appear to be. They are corrupting the foundation of the truth, which foundation is built upon by everything else. If the foundation is bad, nothing else really matters, because the person that believes Lordship salvation, and does not turn from it , is lost. The following is a quote taken from a website. I do not endorse everything this man teaches, nor do I recommend him. However, in this one instance he gives a very good definition of what you are asking for. "What a foolish doctrine! Lordship Salvation is the false teaching that a sinner MUST cease (or be willing to cease) from a sinful lifestyle to be saved." A sinner is a dead man that cannot cease from sin, because he is in complete bondage to sin. Only after trusting in Christ, can the newly born child of God begin to eradicate sin in his life through the power of the new nature received at the new birth. This is called sanctification. Sanctification is the ongoing process whereby the believer learns and grows, i.e. produces good fruit, by being conformed to the image of Christ, through obedience to the word and the Spirit of God, through out the believer's life. Salvation, eternal life, is immediate and forever. Sanctification begins at the new birth and finishes at the end of the believer's life or at the rapture, which ever occurs first.

    The Holy Spirit speaks to the unsaved's heart and draws men and women to Jesus Christ. They sorrowfully come to Jesus Christ for salvation and repentence is a change of actions at the same time and afterward. A true saved person doesn't want to sin in their heart but we are still in this world and if we do sin we can come to Him and He will forgive us but we don't really want to sin. I John 1:9 says that He will forgive us if we are born again already and did sin. We can sin in our thoughts and motivations, as well. Not just a sin that is exposed to others. Hmmm. We, as people, can be so stubborn and want to go our own way.

    Jeremiah 14:13-16 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, the prophets say onto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place. Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed. And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them. God is clearly saying that there are false prophets telling lies to people. And there will be judgment and punishment for sins. Jesus also speaks about the false prophets lying about tithing and their hypocrisy in Matthew 23:23-39.

    You mentioned about the different translations, 'there are many translations out there, that match up with this King James Bible'. We are missionaries in Mexico and, so, of course, we do not use the King James Bible. My question is, should we match the translations to the King James Bible or to the original scripture, mostly written in Hebrew and Greek? The Bible we use here is the Reina Valera Gomez. Which has not been compared to the King James, but the original Hebrew and Greek. Do you think translations should be matched to English or matched to the original text?
    A few years ago, an elderly lady stated to me, 'But you use the King James in your church, right? It is in English, no one, the majority of people could not understand it. But that encounter made me think, does every translation compare/match itself to the English version of the Bible? The JW's 'Bible' here, the first page says, 'a translation of the English'. Considering English-speakers were not around at the time of the Bible, it seems off, not correct, to think only the King James is inspired. It is inspired, we read it everyday, but it, in itself, is a translation.

    Works based, repentance doesn't mean turn from evil ways, it means to change your mind from unbelief to belief in all KJV bible contexts. James 2 was talking about getting to work in the context. If it was talking of salvation then the next verses about Abraham would contradict romans ~4 or 5.

    Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
    Thou believest that there is one God: thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
    Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Issac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
    And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness:and he was called the Friend of God.
    Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
    For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
    2nd Peter 3:9 The lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness: but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
    but that all should come to repentance.
    John 1:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
    Ephesians 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: And that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lust
    And be renewed in the spirit of your mind: And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
    Ephesians 5:3 But fornication and all uncleaness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. Neither filthiness, nor follish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather of giving thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous,
    man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ, and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of god upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
    Hebrews 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the lord, nor faint when thou are rebuked of him: For whom the lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
    If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons: for what son is he whom the Father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
    1 peter:4 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin. That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
    1 john:5 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love god and keep his commandments.
    Revelation 2:5 Remember therfore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
    Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therfore, and repent.
    Revelation 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk.
    Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
    Revelation 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast: and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

    Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

    Brother, I'd like you to take a second to read something that I've seen reading through the bible. I share this in respect of you and only wish to impart something small I've learned. You are far wiser of this bible than I. In revelation 20: 14 the bible clearly tells us that hell and lake of fire are not the same thing. They are different. Hell is cast into the lake of fire. In Matthew 25: 41 it tells us this everlasting fire was prepared for the devil and his angels. In revelation 20: 10 it tells us that the devil and his angels are cast into the lake of fire. So we know that in Matthew 25: 41 its talking about the lake of fire being prepared for the devil and his angels. Thus, I believe that hell is a holding place for lost souls which never got saved when people die and was not the place prepared for the devil and his angels, but the lake of fire was. At the end, all in hell will be judged and cast into lake of fire so i am not saying lost wont go there when revelation does come to pass. Was hoping others were noticing this as well.

    Hebrews 10:25 KJV, Romans 10:14... Rev 2-3 1st scripture in KJV says not to forsake the assembling next How can they hear without a preacher and as for church not being mentioned Rev 2-3 and while I agree the scripture says most are corrupt which I agree. while I agree it is not about church there are true bible believing God live Christ preaching teachers and preachers and at real church they do not say "I WILL GO TO HEAVEN BECAUSE I AM A PRETTY GOOD PERSON" brother you need to calm down while I agree we need to get fired up and most church have lost their 1st love... that brings me to REVELATION and the church of Philadelphia.... there are good groups of churches who have rejected the craziness of denominations and actually follows the bible. These churches don't worry about money but the service of Christ.. Most of your message is on point but you rail against all when there are (though few) good churches who follow the Lord and still trust the Lord. The small back wood church mostly that preach truth

    The church starts in Acts 2: day of Pentecost .. the original message of salvation is Acts 2:38 ... no other way .. all those saved in Acts were immediately baptized in Jesus name .. acts2:38 is a fulfillment of John 3:5 and the great commission of mark 16:15-17 , Matthew 28:19 , Luke 24:45-47 .... Acts 2:38 or hell

      +Got Agape? Jesus was still alive and therefore was in the O.T; God's grace through the blood of Christ was not available to the world yet. Repent means to change one's mind. Even the demons believe (James 2) but clearly they are in serious trouble. The living faith comes from a legitimate trust in Christ for the forgiveness of our sins- not turning from sin or trying really hard to do so.

    • @gotagape173
      @gotagape173 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joseph Garrett Yes, God poured HIs Spirit into many in the "O.T" and gave them His anointing power to do His will. Yes, By His Presence (Fire in His Eyes He burns chaff within, "if" we have Him in us) He removes sin from us, not us removing sin from ourselves. -Romans
      Our blood has death in it (illnesses only Jesus could cure, by His power:Spirit), God poured out His blood (laying His life down for us), because life is in the blood and we are born in the blood that died. He became the new Adam (Man-kind of a New Creation) so we could have new wine in new wine skin...In His Temples (Our Bodies)
      You're right...Very true, changing one's mind is repentance. He said, turn to the light (Jesus), which means Repent (turn, return, and regret leaving your first love). When you do The Father's Will, you are living by the Spirit (Word of God) or Logos. Living in His Light, not the Counterfeit light (sin=death).
      If we live in the light, we will have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches (Called Out Ones), called out of the darkness. Blessings to you

    This was before Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world, he was calling them to repentance, not salvation. Where does it refer to salvation or being saved in this passage.
    Read the whole chapter.
    Mark 2:16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
    17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
    From the names that Jesus called the scribes and pharisees, they were the worst, even worse than the publicans and sinners.
    And from Romans 3:10, There is none righteous, no, not one.
    So that means that everyone is need of a savior for salvation, not repentance.
    Although you package it well and it seems believable, everything you say is wrong.
    You keep repeating "rightly divide" in your videos, but you are not rightly dividing.
    Don't you have any fear of God for what will happen to you for teaching these confused teachings, especially when you are in ministry and thousands on youtube are watching this. You have many people thanking you in the comments for a completely wrong message on salvation. This means that they are probably not getting saved and are walking away as false converts.
    I have no reason to write these words, except conviction from the Holy Spirit.

    • @anonanon2535
      @anonanon2535 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Repentance has nothing to do with repenting from sins. It means turning to God. Using the fruits of the spirit are the proof of being saved through the Holy Spirit. Using the fruits of the spirit will not save you.
      Many people have the wrong understanding of the fruits of the spirit and do not even put them into practice correctly anyway. They think they are longsuffering, etc., but do not take a good look at themselves in the mirror.
      None are righteous, no, not one. The only righteous one is Jesus Christ and you are only seen as righteous by God if you put your faith in His son. That's it.

    • @anonanon2535
      @anonanon2535 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Everyone is sinner, so everyone holding onto their sins turns to God. Everyone has sin and turns to God, then the sin is removed by God through the Holy Spirit, not the other way around. How can you have your sins removed if you do not know God. Makes no sense.Repenting is turning to God and he is the one, together with the Holy Spirit, which removes sin, not the flesh or works. It may take some time, perhaps years before wrong old ways are removed. So that means people who are still struggling with sin and perhaps seem lost are actually saved.

      +Falcon You don't turn from your sins, to God... Because then, you would come to him in a sinless state... No, you come to him as a repentant, sinner. So you do not turn from your sins, but you come to Jesus Christ, to get saved, and cured from your sin... You neither come to a doctor, without any sickness... No, you come to him, as a sick person... Just a little correction :-)

  • @JayG1911
    @JayG1911 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    People this is so simple. Jesus is trying to tell you why you need a saviour in the first place. If you think you have not sinned, then your not sick, and he simply is not calling you. You have to realize there is a problem first. That is clearly the first step in taking care of the problem. If you think that all is well, then how can you address a problem you have no idea even exists? You have to realize, oh I'm sick, I need to go to the doctor to get well. What made you sick in the first place? Sin. You come to Jesus as a sinner. He heals you. If you have not sinned, then why did Christ die on the cross? When you realize what the sin does, how evil it is, you come to Jesus, and place your trust in His finished work on the cross. His righteousness is then imputed to you. You change your mind about sin(because you realize it is what caused the problem). Jesus is telling us that the sin leads to hell, but He can save you from that. There is absolutely nothing wrong in telling Jesus that you don't want to be a sinner anymore. You have sinned against Almighty God after all. Telling God that you are sorry for that sin and do not want to be a sinner anymore does not condemn you to hell. It is just telling Him that you are sorry for your sin. Paul was sorry for his sin. Nobody can argue with that.
    Remember James 2:19- Thou beleivest there is one God: thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
    I know this letter is to the twelve tribes scattered abroad. To the Jews. But are the devils saved at any point in the bible? You have to understand why you are coming to Jesus in the first place. It is not a work, but an understanding. An accord.
    Isaiah 1:18-Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
    To simply believe in Jesus is the same as what the devils believe, which is dangerous. You have to acknowledge the problem, that you have sinned against the creator of everything, including you!
    2 Cor 7:10- For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world workerth death.
    True godly sorrow leads to a change of heart and turning to God. Repentance means changing direction, and results in spiritual deliverance. Being saved!

    The New Testament Church was established in the door to it was opened in the book of Acts of the Apostles, with the coming of the Holy Spirit.
    (Acts2)
    The gospels describe the ministry of Jesus and his wonderful work and laying the foundation for the New Testament Church, the spiritual Kingdom in this age. The gospels record Christ commands to repent and be baptized and his promise to pour out the Holy Spirit, but Christian water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit did not take place until after Jesus was crucified rose from the dead and ascended toheaven.
    In the gospels Jesus spoke of the founding of his church in future tense:
    " I will build my church" (Matthew16:18). During that time," the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified"(John7:39).
    After Christ's Ascension the church was established when his followers were baptized with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues as the spirit gave the utterance(Acts1:4-9,2:1-4) Matthew John and the other apostles were all present on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was first given they were all witnesses to Peter's marvelous message and supported him as he opened the door of salvation(Acts2:14) when the audience cried out under the conviction of sins," men and Brethren what shall we do?" Peter replied repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost"(Acts2:38)
    Peter had the authority to proclaim the way of entrance into the church for Christ had given him the"keys of the kingdom of heaven"(Matt16:19)
    No one disputed his answer or his authority to give it. Repentance was accepted as essential to entering the kingdom.Moreover, the formula Peter gave for water baptism was not controversial, for the apostles understood the identity of Jesus as the one God manifested in flesh.
    (Colossians2:9;1Timothy3:16) they realized that he was the embodiment of the eternal spirit of God, whom he has a man called his Father.
    Therefore there was no argument when Peter commanded what a baptism to be administered and the name of Jesus Christ. Finally the promise of the Holy Ghost was not new since Jesus said that all who believe on him would receive the spirit(John7:38-39)
    Peter use the same keys to open the door of Salvation to the Gentiles
    (Acts10) and they receive the same experience that the disciples did on the day of Pentecost (Acts2). moreover the same keys were used in proclaiming the message of Salvation to the Samaritans they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit
    (Acts8). a few years later the Apostle Paul re-baptized the Disciples of John the Baptist in The Wonderful Name of Jesus and they to receive the spirit and spoke in tongues (Acts19)
    The Epistles contain instructions to various churches at Corinth and Ephesus in two individuals such as Timothy and Titus they were written to instruct people who had already entered the door of salvation.
    The book of Acts the records founding of many of the churches to which these letters were written and the Epistles frequently refer to the readers prior repentance baptism in Jesus name and baptism of the Holy Spirit.
    See,for example,Romans6:1-4;1Corinthians 6:11;12:13;Galatians3:2,27
    Titus3:5. opponents of Acts 2:38 salvation err by going first to the Epistles and virtually ignoring the book of Acts where the plan and experience of Salvation is recorded.Many passages in the Epistles explain how salvation is made available to humanity, namely, by grace through faith based on the atoning death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.See(Romans3:21-26);Ephesians2:8-9) moreover many passages describe qualities that characterize the life of true Christians such" we know that we have passed from Death unto life because we love the brethren"and" whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God" none of these statements cancel the command Acts 2:38.
    The gospels point to the way of Salvation and the Epistles confirm it but the door of Salvation is opened in the book of Acts.
