I like Maison Crivelli, but when I got the sample of the Amber, all I saw was the priest at my mother's funeral walking around her coffin and throwing the incense around it. It was a PTSD moment. When they say that fragrances can bring you back to a place in time, this was literal. And not in a good way. To top it off, it lingered and lingered.
I lost my sense of smell for a few years and had lost interest in perfumes, candles, etc. One day it returned and I discovered your channel. The way you describe fragrances is like no other! Radio bombay is tricky, because it has to be a bit oversprayed to have THAT scent and also, it reaches its best potential in warmer weather, it hates humidity and cold.. Its one of my very few fragrances, that I wear just seasonally
So sad that you didn't find something you love from L'Orchestre!! It's one of my favorite houses; I absolutely can't get enough of Piano Santal! Reminds me a bit of Santal Vanille by 7 Virtues but very creamy and milky, so I can imagine it not being for everyone!

Regarding Radio Bombay; maybe let it sit for a couple weeks before judging it, I can't tell you how many times I’ve changed my opinion on a fragrance after letting it settle for a while.
Gawd I just found you after searching Kilian love. I went to Sephora yesterday to try it after seeing other influences love it. It was the most fake sweet smelling perfume. I tried it on 1 wrist cuz I thought the dry down might be better. I couldn't wash it off quick enough. But I agreed with your assessment of perfumes you hate video.

So frustrating when the fragrance in the full bottle performs different from the sample. Had that happen to me with LV Rose des Vents. It might just be 0.1% different and most people probably wouldn’t notice, but on my skin, the full bottle fragrance smells way more masculine..

I bought Radio Bombay recently and you’re right it’s quite masculine and very woody. However on me, after the first hour I get a lot of the coconut and some underlying metallic ness which I honestly LOVE. Also, I’m originally from India and have visited Bombay many a times and something about this perfume is very reminiscent of Bombay, can’t put a finger on what exactly though.

Cherry Punk is so worth they hype! I was super surprised. I am not a fan of leather, but its so smooth and works beautifully in this fragrance.

Regarding Radio Bombay; maybe let it sit for a couple weeks before judging it, I can't tell you how many times I’ve changed my opinion on a fragrance after letting it settle for a while.

Gawd I just found you after searching Kilian love. I went to Sephora yesterday to try it after seeing other influences love it. It was the most fake sweet smelling perfume. I tried it on 1 wrist cuz I thought the dry down might be better. I couldn't wash it off quick enough. But I agreed with your assessment of perfumes you hate video.

So frustrating when the fragrance in the full bottle performs different from the sample. Had that happen to me with LV Rose des Vents. It might just be 0.1% different and most people probably wouldn’t notice, but on my skin, the full bottle fragrance smells way more masculine..

I have recently learned that I also dont care for the chocolate orange scented gourmands the undertone smells a bit too much like plastic baby dolls to me. its funny how the full bottle can smell different from a sample sometimes that annoys me too.

I bought Radio Bombay recently and you’re right it’s quite masculine and very woody. However on me, after the first hour I get a lot of the coconut and some underlying metallic ness which I honestly LOVE. Also, I’m originally from India and have visited Bombay many a times and something about this perfume is very reminiscent of Bombay, can’t put a finger on what exactly though.
