I got into perfume this year. I used to be a signature scent type of person, but wanted to switch it up. I tried a subscription service in Sweden called SNIPH. Buying samples would be cheaper for trying, but I personally like getting 8ml travel size before buying.

I remember I first got into fragrances when I was in secondary school, and it was a Ralph Lauren Rocks perfume! About 2-3 years later, I moved on to the Gucci Flora line, often interchanging between the pink and green juice. I wore it so often for a few years that my friends knew me by that scent! Unfortunately, I had an eczema flare up and then I stopped wearing fragrances altogether to try and let it subside on its own.
Fast forward to today, in my late twenties, with no eczema issues, and I have moved on to more aromatic, smokey, cooling or tea-centric fragrances!
I think those scent profiles are very “cool” ;) so happy to hear your eczema has cleared up!

I was never a perfume person but my mom still have bottles of perfume she has never thrown away, they are still siting on her dresser on its tray. One in particular I definitely remember is “beautiful”. She became allergic to certain smells after a few years so she stopped wearing scented stuff. I don’t wear perfume around her. I didn’t start buying for myself til 2019, I had a sampler of clean reserve. I have over 200 Perfumes, combo of full bottle & tons of decants

Hello this is Latonya I got into perfume watching TH-cam and now I just can't stop I do not buy full bottles Discovery set for samples I love sampling perfume it is fun for me my perfume for today is side effects just got it in the mail yesterday I do not like it doesn't smell good to me love when your videos come on and you are so honest about what you don't like thank you for doing that love your Channel you give out great videos
Hi Anne, my perfume obsession started after a random TH-cam video back in January. Now I find them an outlet of self expression. Until then, I was a signature scent kind of person but I would become anosmic to whatever I chose after a while so I would wear perfume for others. Am I not worthy? Now I have a fragrance wardrobe and I smell my scent all the time. Love it!❤️🇨🇦
Yes! That’s one of my favorite things about having a collection, my nose doesn’t get too used to a perfume to the point where I become anosmic!
I got into perfume after I got married; I figured it was time to stop wearing pink sugar! (which I wore every day since middle school). Went down the TH-cam rabbit hole immediately and found Vanilla Woods through your channel; then florida summer hit and I found Burberry Her and wound up down the road to all things FK... HELP... amyris femme, tijota, BR540, Manakara, My Juju... love it all, unlike my wallet. Thank you for your awesome content!

Happy Thanksgiving! I got into scents from one of my aunts. She would take me to Sephora, and we'd do a whole bunch of sniffing. Got me my first couple "adult" fragrances. This was years ago, when I was in middle school. I miss her, but have great memories.

I am definitely down the fragrance rabbit hole and I think that's since discovering your reviews! You're really funny and animated and I very much enjoy your descriptions which I find very detailed and illustrative, so I thank you for starting me on this journey, though my wallet does not, lol. I started wearing perfume in high-school, my aunt bought me two perfumes Pink Sugar by Aquolina and Ralph by Ralph Lauren. I still like both of those, and they remind me of my younger self. Since then my fragrance wardrobe has grown pretty substantially. Like you, I was looking for my grown-up signature.. but I realized that not only am I indecisive, I am also insatiably curious and impulsive too. I think I'm getting to know myself better through trial and error, also my tastes change. Its a lot like my actual wardrobe. I have too much, and I know it.. I am recently very into layering fragrances, and I'm searching for that perfect, long-lasting, cherry note. I'm seeking a cherry top to layer with a chocolatey base.. Or a woody base.. I just yesterday discovered a new clean brand called Snif, and wondered if you had heard of them. I want to get a sample kit from them and I heard they have a fantastic cherry perfume. Thank you!! Oh I used to wear Pink Sugar for a while as well! If you’re looking for a great, long lasting cherry scent to layer with chocolate or wood, I highly recommend Navitus Venom of Love! & I have tried Snif, I reviewed a bunch of their scents on my TikTok, haven’t smelled Tart Deco though :)

I got into perfumes since I was little like 8 or 9 years old. I remember when my sisters were clubbing, they used to leave their makeup products and perfumes in the vanity and I generously sprayed fragrances on my body. There was a scent that I loved because smelled like candy and I remember I used that small bottle up in one night and I got in trouble.😅 My knowledge about perfumery has been expanded by watching TH-cam reviews, searching and reading the fragrantica website, books, and talking to perfumers such as Mathew Meleg.
Definitely, Scentbird subscription is an awesome option to try perfumes that are no physically available for tasting.

I’m an older gal and my love for fragrances started in high school with the Love’s Baby Soft line. 😅I liked their musk one the best, it had a lavender-colored juice. It was my first fragrance purchase I think. The most popular scent of this time, I my area and the late 70s, was Jungle Gardenia which was strong and I didn’t like but you smelled it all through the school halls! I think it was a Coty fragrance? My brother’s girlfriend wore Jontue which was hugely popular, like Charlie was, and she smelled divine. I loved that scent! My grandmother wore White Shoulders which I also loved smelling on her. My mother wore ghastly fragrances like Lauder’s Youth Dew 🤢 and later, Clinique’s Aromatics. Vile! 😂
That Clinique Aromatics Elixir is AWFUL. My mother oversprays it and so does every 60+ and older woman who wears it. Geeze - 1 spray is enuf but they always go HAMM on it

A house that just came onto my radar is Scents of Wood, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. A couple of their fragrances are offered through Scentbird, and Ministry of Scent have 2ml decants of more of their fragrances.

I have B please from COAR,(I’ve had it for a year. I like it.) I recently thought of trying Bite me, I don’t own any A. Grande perfumes. I work in an office and I do try to be mindful of others when I wear stuff.

Check out SNIPH. They're here in Sweden and ship to UK. I'm pretty sure they ship throughout Europe now. That's what I use for my travel sprays. Lots of Niche brands.
I’ve fell in love with Idole and Oui LVEB. I’m trying to decide on which to get. What’s your thoughts on the two? I’m looking for a signature scent for life. Something that will not likely be discontinued and be around for years to come like some of the iconic scents. Maybe you could do a video on fragrances that will stick around in your opinion?

She actually recommends a lot throughout her videos! Off the top of my head Santal 33, Oud for greatness and many of the le labo would work for men and are unisex.
So, what was your first signature scent? Were you able to find it?
I never landed on just one because I became obsessed with trying so many! Sampling really opened my eyes to the possibilities and I just never wanted to stop 😅

I got that Ex Nihilo from Scentbird and love it (am female). I think it's more unisex (but does lean masc) but that's more my style. Hard agree on Peau and I have Eau de la Nuit coming next month! I have dabbled in scent from time to time, generally grabbing a bottle of whatever free sample I got in a Sephora order. During covid, I quit wearing makeup but scent felt like something easy and fun to do at home and it snowballed from there :)
