    This was so amazing. Succinct. Not a lot of jibberish in between to confuse a person. Very straightforward and extremely helpful! Can't thank you enough. Will share!

    Thanks for the great tip on folding the pattern piece back to check that the fabric will cover the piece correctly! Great explanation of the whole procedure!

    Just the tip I needed to make sure my pieces cover the pattern area they are supposed to. Before this I had to sew everything twice.

    Foundation paper piecing, which you're doing, is definitely not the same thing as English paper piecing. I'm fairly new to foundation paper piecing and you explain it very clearly. I was wondering what the system is for numbering a foundation piecing pattern if I want to create my own, say geometrical design. Both kinds of paper piecing are great ways to use up all those beautiful scraps, it's true.

    I’ve watched multiple tutorials on FPP, yours is by far the best. Explained the best techniques, but so simply. Thank you!

    I actually might try this to make a skirt with all the scraps of fabric I've been hoarding for the past 5 years

    Now I wanna try this! I have never done quilting because it looks so intimidating, but this technique looks like it will be a good starting point. Thanks!

    Excellent tutorial! English paper piecing is done by hand with heavier paper, a separate paper for each pattern piece, as I learned it, I think. But am I wrong? Regardless, it's so fun if you enjoy hand sewing. Great as travel projects too!! And your tutorial helps me get back into machine piecing complicated blocks the easiest way. Thank you!!

    At the beginning, you said that foundation piecing is also known as English paper piecing. That is incorrect. They are completely different. English paper piecing is done by hand.

      probably just cutting out all the pieces individually, so traditional quilting process but it would definitely be very time consuming

    • @ajdiller98
      @ajdiller98 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can look paperless paper piecing. There is still a little waste but far less that this “traditional” method.
