I was worried kip would jump on the band wagon of the the other "country" singers that have become more pop. He's definitely more southern rock than country, but I love it, and this album is freaking awesome! Will always love Kip no matter what roads he takes.
I knew this album wasnt gonna disappoint, whether u wanna call it country or not. This is what great music sounds like. It has melody, message, soul, real talented musicians on the instruments and a vibe to make you appreciate life.
He may never win an award and I really don't think that's what he's in it for. I have been in the business and it's very political period. Labels go under, change hands, radio stations are owned by a few people, think bout that for a minute.

I personally hate genres, labels, good music is simply that, good music.I think the world would be a better place if we all stopped labeling each other black and white,christian or catholic, we are humans, period. His music speaks to the soul and I'm really digging the stories he's talking about and getting to know his personality a lil bit. I'm not surprised. He's a rebel, an individual that is a rare breed and isn't gonna ever change for anyone,and that's a good thing. Be who you are, always be true to yourself. love him!
