wandering hordes? they've been in the game since alpha 16. they don't seem to spawn as often as they used to

A metaphor for how you survive in New Jersey: Not stepping on the land mine you didn't know was 2 inches from your foot.
Amazing what you can accomplish in such a small space! I'd put a couple sets of bars at the bottom of the door and a vault hatch above the door so you can get in and out and still bottleneck them at the door. I'm really liking the new series.... You are pretty rushed during the days....I like to see you adventure a bit and like to see your horde constructions like in your other series...but, this is really entertaining so far....

Personally, I found the best way to use loot candy that didn't make me feel like I *needed* it to do POIs was to pop it before looting horde loot bags and that's it.

Try a wedge block in front of the hatch. It’ll force the spider monkeys into a position where you’ll be able to mele them 🤞. Lovin the vids btw. Keep them coming

I get the sense that @Glock9 is the kind of guy that has conversations with his Map programs while driving. He hears “Turn left in a half mile” followed by Glock saying “Thanks for the heads up...I’ll be sure to do that. You don’t need to tell me again at 500 feet. I’ll remember” based on his interactions with the traders.
You should create topsoil to put around your house. More proof that life was sustained here in the burnt biome.

You know what'd be a cool series? "Roaming in The Old World" - a new-POI-every-night series where you can't use any guns or anything that has a motor. Force yourself to try out those bows and crossbows. And get that stamina up for those long bike rides!
Maybe with old west he could still use the magnum revolver. My cousin's been doing a viking playthrough. Only bows, axes and clubs. It hasn't been going well lol but he built a cool nordic style house with a grass roof.

You should build a concrete support column around your mine and up, that way you can build defences up until you need to retreat to the mine

That stuff about the spider zombies being able to hit through the hatch... Apparently they can hit through double layer concrete walls with added iron bars around the outside as well. I made a such a tunnel with vault hatches to block them from coming all the way in, and yesterday i was suddenly beaten again and again, and could not see anything until i looked down, and saw some arms hitting me through the walls. 2 seconds later i was dead. I figured they had probably almost broken through the walls - but when i checked it, everything looked intact... Not sure what happened. Maybe it spawned inside the walls, right next to where i was standing? I hope they will fix the collision boxes of the spider zombies soon, so this cant happen...

18:02 You should turn those blocks you destroyed into bars, less damage to repair from shotgun usage.
If you put the door within the frame of the doorway instead of on the outside, it'll open flat and flush with the walls and the Zombies wouldn't destroy it every night. And for the hatch, just put it on the block just inside the cabin but backwards so when open, it's flush with the wall and blocking the same same spot but within a different block. That way, you can have the best of both worlds and you wouldn't lose your door every night

I'd be careful about bars at the front door, if you make it too hard for them to get in they might start beating the shit out of the walls and looking for other ways in.
