Step 1: Remove engine from car.
Step 2: Remove all AC lines
Just bought an E46, saw the H line on the condenser was snapped. Well might as well take it all out as it's an expensive fix, and remove other AC lines and compressor since it robs HP.
I bought an e46 and the guy did all that but left the compressor lol, he was building it to race but I guess he never got to finishing
removal will be the same when compressor is in the car, you will just have less room to work with.

bimmermerchant i have a question regarding the pressure of the refrigerant, I will be replacing mine in about 2-3 weeks and refilled the ac coming to find out my compressor is bad. Will there be any refrigerant lpouring out during the process? Thank you!

Hey on the compressor there is an electrical connector for the magnetic clutch power wire. How is that held in and in that sleeve that hold it is the tongue flat or round or what. I need to take mine off to check power to the clutch but it wont come off easy. I dont want to break it and need to repair my harness.

i get air through my vents, my compressor kicks in, works for a while but then no cold air comes out .

This is all great, but most of us can't remove the engine from the car. Can you do a video on how to do this while the engine is still in the car?

your supposed to remove the refrigerant before as it is dangerous to breathe in
hi ,my 2001 325i ac compressor works fine but randomly shuts off here and there ,you guys know what it can be ,thanks.
can be a bad fuse or low on oil

We remove engine so we can show you location of bolts and tools required. It is the viewers responsibility to figure everything else while part is in the car. Video is suppose to provide information.
I don't take the time to reply to you tube videos however I explained to this guy who had good intentions but he could've showed the in car comparisons and Dangers involved.
Sorry I've never disliked a video I respected. I feel it is a good thing that you are doing however you completely missed the safety part. The other part is 95% of the people watching this video will be performing this procedure from a daily driven vehicle. Once again good objective just poorly delivered. I hope you develop a style and patent on your stuff
