@@irregularlyunusual1531 it was confirmed to be an unknown soviet stand user (but I wish that we got to see him, the stand user I mean, during one of the later parts as a villain).
It could only be part three, since the soviet dude probably wouldn't have had hamon and thus be pretty fuckin old; and Joseph could have gotten closure, even if he wasn't that close with Stroheim.
To think that the Nazi’s in Battle Tendency is key to Joseph’s victory baffles me. And I love it.
