I love my 2013 250sx. Instead of getting a new bike every year or 2 I just ad some aftermarket parts and motor work to make it feel more modern. 10 years later and I still feel it can run with most other bikes on the track

A 13 250sx is one of the best bikes I’ve ever ridden in my opinion. Rankest power I’ve ever felt in a 250 2 stroke engine. Most people didn’t like the fork that year but I found if you were an aggressive rider they worked really well. Nothing wrong with that bike at all!

I don't want a new bike either. The '21 yz450f is what I know. It may not turn as tightly as the new bike, but for flat out riding at mostly high speeds, I'm very comfortable on it. It's dialed for my preferences, and still scares the shit outta me occasionally when I let 'er eat for just that fraction of a second too long. I'd describe the custom tunes I have loaded into the ECU as map1: scary, and map2: scarier. It's way more power than any sane man really needs. 65hp at the wheel all day. Let's just say it's not stock.

@@mike_paschos If you want the most versatile dirt bike around, then the Yamaha 450 is IMHO the most advanced motocross bike available. For slower technical riding a 250-300cc 2 stroke is easier to ride for nearly everyone. If I wanted a 2 stroke, I'd still buy Yamaha before anything else. I have various custom ecu maps already created on my phone, that can be loaded into the bike for any condition imaginable. No other bike has this user friendly Power Tuner app like the Yamaha.
