I love how broken this game is, you get funny moments like these. I still remember, when I was a kid, I glitched either Sonic or Shadow (I forget which) out of bounds in the Chao Garden and just flew in there. Keep in mind, I got this to happen on the Gamecube version of this game, that much more stable than the PC port of it, at least from my experience of rebuying this game multiple times to play on different platforms anyways. Since I glitched my way out of bounds of the Chao Garden, I've never been able to pull off that glitch again.
Ah yes I remember this glitch! You can do it with both Sonic and Shadow, there's this specific spot in the boundary where the wall of rocks ends, if you spam your homing attack you'll glitch out and just float around the outside of the map. But I always felt bad because when I got back, all my chao were in a swimming state and not all of them could swim yet 😭
me and my friend would do that glitch all the time. you can leave the skybox area as well and go completely out of bounds, and we would often see how far away we could get from the chao garden lol. we also thought that the skybox looks like a small yoghurt cup from the outside lol so that's still an inside joke between us
For some reason i lost all my chao garden data for sadx AND sa2 and i remember having op chao especially in sa2 where i had a sonic chao etc :( how do i get it back?
People give Sonic so much crap for having glitchy games but I don’t think anyone could look me in the eye and say that chao garden is not better with glitches lmao
