    Liszt's well-documented preference for individual interpretations suggests that he believed that there are countless equally "valid" ways to play each piece of music. Which I find a very likeable attitude. Penseroso illustrates the feasibility of very different approaches: your very stately tempo enhances the natural epic/tragic quality of this work - while the faster performances imbue it with a degree of agression and ire that somehow also fits. (I probably prefer your slower tempo - especially in the middle section with the walking bass line turning into tolling bells.) Thank you for posting this thought-provoking performance.

    Auf dem Video ist die Statue „Il Penseroso“ von Michelangelo in der Florentier Medici-Kapelle. So, von diesem Doppelschlag ist der Stück mit dem Lichtlosigkeit zu ernst und gelassen.

    I think you rushed the last bar a little. A very interesting interpretation which I think works much better than the normal walking base line. Thank you.
