love this! I'm a wind player and do arrangements for marching band--definitely listening and learning how to make better use of mallet percussion based off of your work here
The horns are so great! They remind me of halcyon hearts by katahj copley. I love the mallet perc, it's so dci in the best way possible. I think the drumline could use work, and you should put this all into musesounds! This is insane for your first piece, I wish I could write some stuff like that.
thank you! i love halycon hearts, it was so fun to play a few years back! i'm mainly a brass player but i've done front ensemble 2 years for indoor season at my school, and i'm planning to march snare this year's season so hopefully i familiarize myself with how some drumline music is written considering that's my weakness rn lol
This is great! I think, per a typical DCI ballad, the full chord in the 6th to last measure should be a fermata before the soloist continues. Other than that, fantastic!
saw this gem on my FYP, been obsessed with it as a trumpet player and tried playing some of the parts in it, still working on my range tho. i’ve shared this to some of my upper class men as well and they enjoy the score as well! this score is beautiful and reflects well with the theme of a ballad. i hope a corp small or big can perform this piece on a field one day to see how much emotion they can invoke in someone, great job arranging this!
the piano score i based this off was oddly written in 4/4 so i went along with it, once i realized it would've been much better in 12/8 it would've been a hassle to change everything so i just kept it. i'm writing my next piece in the proper time signature lol
go watch my dci arrangement of promise next! th-cam.com/video/cT-Jupctguw/w-d-xo.html
Omg I can just imagine Carolina Crown playing this and just putting an insane amount of emotion and power into this, PUT THIS IN A SHOW THIS INSTANT!!
Blue Devils*
@@DonovanGarciaSK8eh both could do a good job
@@DonovanGarciaSK8my thoughts exactly
@Baritone.Ben11 BD has a more similar arrangement style, I would say.
@@DonovanGarciaSK8 i feel like they dont have a lot of emotion in their playing
The Mandarins would eat this tf up
fr
IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE MALLET AND BELLS PART???? This is like marching band level to perform. I would 100% play this as someone in front ensemble
Love the way this is arranged! Sounds like a mix of Great Gig in the Sky (especially in the beginning) and Creep
i definitely did take some inspiration from bluecoats 2011 when they played creep haha
This has early 2010’s Blue Devils written all over it
that hit gave me the same feeling that i felt when i watched bluecoats 2011 creep arrangement for the first time (the reason i am now a nerd)
love this! I'm a wind player and do arrangements for marching band--definitely listening and learning how to make better use of mallet percussion based off of your work here
I now listen to laufey because of this, this is a great arrangement
thats great to hear!!
This just feels like a phantom regiment ballad
i can see that, mandarins, phantom, or early 2010's bloo would eat this up ong

woah I played that piece before! loved it so so much :') I'd play it over and over again
@@nopal2025 As a marimba player, this is written amazingly. I would love a copy of the marimba part if possible, I really want to learn this.
@@gwiggy that's cool to hear! you can email me at nopal144@outlook.com and i'll try to send you the marimba part
Nopal?!? I've been using your musescore stuff for so long, just now saw your TH-cam. Awesome stuff, love your Brand New Chorale transcription!
thank you for the support! thats awesome!
@@nopal2025please make more full arrangements like this they’re great 🥰
OMG TWO WORLDS HAVE COLLIDED
never has something been made for me idek what to say I love it
This would sounds so much better with muse sounds and virtual drumline and percussion this is so cool
MY TWO FAVORITE THINGS THIS IS SO GOOD WTF
wow this is actually really good
1:46 the crescendo IM LEVITATINGGGGG GODDDD
This is great! I think, per a typical DCI ballad, the full chord in the 6th to last measure should be a fermata before the soloist continues. Other than that, fantastic!
I really like this!
wow this is so good, great job!!
This is perfect 😍
AAA I LOVE THISSSS. I would put in 12/8 tho so its a bit easier to read

much appreciated!!
I need to hear this brought to life in reality 😭
I keep coming back here. I can easily imagine this cover on the field it's so pretty
bro theres one group i see doing this and its the mandarins. i literally dont see any other group other than them performing this
Awesome arrangement
BD would absolutely blast this shit think of the 2017 BD playing this instead of their ballad
i was thinking like, early 2010 bluecoats, like the creep or hymn of axciom days playing this
this is awesome! genuine question, why didn't you arrange it in 12/8 if almost everything is triplet based?
the piano score i based this off was oddly written in 4/4 so i went along with it, once i realized it would've been much better in 12/8 it would've been a hassle to change everything so i just kept it. i'm writing my next piece in the proper time signature lol
I feel like this would be a lot easier to write out in 12/8. It's almost exclusively triplets anyway.
this sounds like kirby music
Bloopit would absolutely leave no crumbs with the pit arrangement it’s so good
Get this in dci immediately
May i please get the parts so i can multi track this for fun?
do you have an idea on how i could share it? also do you want the audio file or each individual part?
chills
I feel like the 2010s bluecoats would play this
would it be possible to send the muse file for this? with your permission id like to rewrite the drumline parts please and thank you!
What music writing software is this?
this is musescore!
Better than the original imo
What’s VST are you using it? Awesome.
i'm using musesounds on musescore!
Colts 2025 Ballad (I wish)
perhaps try 6/8
sounds similar to bloo 2011
