Hi.Recently, I manually soaked my electric motor Qs138 v3 4000w with varnish and found that I had damaged 4 copper winding wires, accidentally erasing the top of the wire when I opened the motor. Will my engine burn out?
Loving this build! I would love to build an electric snowbike. This would allow for extra large batteries on the snowbike kit. The problem is the biggest BLDC motor i can fin is 20Kw, it does have a peak of 50 but I can't find the info on the motor you are using. Did oy mention the manufacturer anywhere??? I've watched all 3 episodes.
why the chain? a direct hub would be more efficient. On both wheels, better acceleration. Please let me know if I am missing something, I really don't get it.

this was awesome, its clear you know what you talking about too, and love how you explain every component, and why you went that route. just wondering what was the total cost, how long the battery life will last & did you have to out source any of the work. but great build looking forward to the finish product, also you'll be great if you made a channel about bike projects. I had a similar headlight on my bike and I recommend throwing out the rubber straps and installing it with safety wire once the build is complete. The rubber straps rotted on mine and ripped in half. Keep up the awesome work and make more videos of it! Keep up the thorough descriptions of everything, I'm a mechanical engineering student and a motorcycle enthusiast and I loved learning more about the electrical systems.
Do you need to have a screen to run this controller? I am building a 20" bmx with qs273 50h on back (maybe 2wd not sure yet...) with custom 1way bearing chain sprocket...will this controller turn on if charged to 92.4volts? I have 22s but my bms charger cannot charge to 4.05v per cell which is annoying but i know my cells are 3.6v nominal so voltage will drop off to 84v pretty quickly...im after a high amp stealth controller for 663amp burst if i could use this with no screen it would be perfect

I have just started watching your videos and subscribed I wanted to ask a question i have been struggling with configuration of my battery pack for my ev motorcycle. I want to ask four questions :- 1. Can i connect 3 x 72v lithium ion pack in parallel with configuration of 20s 10p to power my 72v 3000w motor controller it supports 50A so does the motor? (I want max range and power) 2. All 3 packs will have BMS so how do i charge it what charger should i use for this purpose and will those BMS work properly if connected in parallel, what amps will it req to charge? 3. Should i make 3 72v packs or should make 6 24v packs and then connect 3s 2p which one is better ? 4. If question 1 and 2 are possible then what wire should i use to run this project? Please respond its my first time ever commenting on youtube video i hope you can answer my questions
Why use such large sprockets? Electric motors put out torque at all over the rev range. Also I would suggest that you remove the 90 degree elbow on the water cooling cause they will probably start to leak, as computer water cooling is not really made for vibrations. I have had 2 starting to leak in my computer, and they only moved when I installed them. Really cool build.

Add a radiator guard for your battery's. definitely don't want a rock going through one of those.

if your interested in the motor just search around for 20-25kw bldc motors, most of them peak at 50kw but be warned they come at a premium price
50KW motor, thats approx 70hp, never saw 70HP motor that small ?
electric motors have gotten extremely compact and efficient, you can expect more to come from such small motors in the future
