    I have two pairs of the Flight Vectiv…it is the best trail shoe I have ever put in my foot. I find them excellent for smooth trails all the way to super technical, gnarly, and wet trails.

      I have the North Face Infinite Vectiv, wasn’t sure if the comparison to Sacouny Endorfin line Pro vs Speed…was the same “meaning the Infinite gives you the same without the price increase” let me know…Thanks

    I ran 3, 100 milers in these shoes. They did take some break-in, but then lasted almost 600 miles. Soles wear quick if you run on pavement. The new Summit Vectivs are amazing. Not the PROs, but the new version of this shoe. Amazing.

    Time out!!! The Enduris is the most comfortable stable shoe out of this line up. I've got the futurelight version and they are the best trail shoe I've put on. Beating out evo speedgoat evo, Nike peg trail 3 and because they are waterproof it takes it up a notch. Unreal lockdown, grip is solid.Returned the Flights & Infinite.

    I could be wrong, but I thought Skechers did the carbon fiber plate thing in a trail shoe before the Vective came out.

    TNF made a good try this year but crazy overprice on almost everything.

      Agreed. Too expensive for a pair of shoes which we need to replace regularly.

      @@cchetthaphon Its not just the shoes! Ive got almost every piece from there flight series and I kinda like it but the quality is really poor. T-shirt stinks after one use, Cheops materials in jackets. The vest is super comfy to wear but weird sizing and bottles with small caps so you hardly cant fit powder from sportdrinks. Like they have really good athlets in there team and the company it self, crazy experience! I had much higher hope’s. But they are getting there. At least they moving forward. But there quality isnt Arcteryx so they really need to cut there prices down !

    QD: If I could ask any question now and get an answer, it would be what exact decisions now will lead to a successful career after college. There is so much I don't know now and what the best step forward would be. It would make things much easier to have the answer now.

    This is a spot on review for me! I wanted to love the flight vectiv, but between the lockdown issues and the lack of cushion/ overall stiffness, I just frankly …hate this shoe. I (personally) don’t get the hype.

    I’m a knucklehead and bought the full range of the Vectiv running shoes…raced a 40 miler on the Enduris and the long term durability is questionable…the upper on the Enduris is wearing way too fast..the low profile tread seems like it’s going to wear super fast…the rubber is pretty tacky though…I was too nervous about body abuse wearing the carbon shoes over a longer distance…

    Hmm, complaining about 9.1oz and then choosing 9.9 is Evo speedgoat? Is it fair? I wonder if there are many trail shoes under 8oz...

    Carbon plate vs. rock plate ?

  • @AlbertoBerardi
    @AlbertoBerardi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I'm very sorry Seth but you are completely off about the weight scoring. It's an ULTRA racing shoes with a carbon plate. The closest comparison it's the well known Hoka One One EVO Mafate 2 and the flight Vectiv is 10 grams lighter (I own both: size US12 the Hoka and 11.5 the NF cause the first is true to size and the NF runs longer ) You can not compare it to a Salomon S/Lab Ultra 3 for example because even the name suggest they belong to the same category the cushioning it's way different and the Salomon can be adopted for Ultra distance (i mean real Ultra) only by Pro athletes. Please Seth reconsider your scoring approach cause I've found it really inconsistent and not on point lately.

      Good Points, shoe reviews are getting more and more personal and most comparisons are out of the Windows. And weight on the scale is not everything, I run TNF Vectiv Enduris (in my size US 10 - 330gr., sounds a bit heavy, runs much lighter, love this shoe !)...

    • @Thefifaplayeryant
      @Thefifaplayeryant 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      and forecast on durability is a joke, my Salomon Ultra Glide feels quite dead before 300km (I'm under 70kg), sure I can take it to 600km, still looks new, but why should I run a shoe for 300km more when the running experience is far reduced from primary feelings ?

    • @AlbertoBerardi
      @AlbertoBerardi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Thefifaplayeryant agree. The forecast on durability is a waist of time.

    • @Thefifaplayeryant
      @Thefifaplayeryant 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AlbertoBerardi and influences people, as some runners obviously need somebody to tell them which shoes are right and which not. Of course I study reviews myself, but it must be possible to read some infos between the line, but to judge shoes alone by "not aggressive outsole", "too much cushion/too less cushion" and "weight" (to name just 3) is just plain wrong depending on individual needs...

    Are you going to test the VJ Ultra?

    • @rmsrmsrmsrms
      @rmsrmsrmsrms 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Beware lug separation on these after 50miles or so. Hopefully VJ is taking steps to address this issue. Also I need a more filled in arch area on this shoe; they are nimble but really work the stabilizing muscles in my legs, so after 8-10miles my knees are getting sore. Forefoot-Only runners like Seth likely would never experience this, but I land mid- and rear-foot alot and the VJU with its narrow heel and undercut arch isn't very stable for that footstrike on technical terrain.

  • @mirkociric7969
    @mirkociric7969 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m disappointed in the shoe, it is too hard to get it to fit. If i tighten it hard to lock it down it cuts off circulation , if i loosen a bit, it blisters my heal. And also the rubber they used to cover the seams on the inside of the foot is deadly also for blistering. Very disappointed

    Question from Belgium. When you are running at estimated marathon pace and you feel your legs can handle it, but your lungs and heart can´t handle it as well. Would you incorporate more aerobic training (long runs) or more high intensity work?

  • @TrailrunnerTroy
    @TrailrunnerTroy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Most disappointing trail shoe of the year for me: sloppy lockdown, low volume and weird fit. Ran them for a 50 K shake-down tempo run while training for 100 mile and regretted the excessive rocker on the technical terrain. Salomon Ultra Glide or the Craft CTM Carbon Ultra are superior for longer adventures and races.

    Fairly comfortable shoes, until you run in them. One of the stiffest and heaviest trail shoes I've ever run in. Overall, tough to call these anything other than terrible. It does get a little softer by 100 miles, but the outsole is entirely gone by then, so again, terrible.
