I’ve had these shoes for about 4 months now and love them. Paid retail which is pretty pricey but I feel like they live up to the hype. I live in Boulder, CO in the states and these are great for the dry technical trails we have here. The do grip well on wet rock/roots but mud could be problematic...I’ve been a bit skeptical of the wear, especially on the rubber sole, but so far they’ve held up really well...I weigh about 190 lbs and am pretty hard on my shoes, but these are hanging in there...bought the Flights for racing and these are my every day trail runners...great review!
That's really good to hear Tim! It is quite expensive but I think it's a really solid trail shoe 👍 Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Nice review, I'm just about to buy these shoes (in the second version), and I think your review really helped me 🤘 just one question.... These are stable? I have really thin ankles and I need stable shoes to perform, thanks a lot ❤️
Totally agree with you on this shoe. I bought a pair on spec as I liked the concept. Amazing uphill, super over rocky terrain and even relatively soft ground. But on mud - nope. Also when it gets wet the ortholite insole holds a lot of water and makes the shoe heavy. But over all I think this is a truly super shoe and I can't wait to put proper miles on it during summer.
Yeap it's definitely a summer Charlotte! 👍 I'm glad you agree with what I said in the review and I feel the same. I'm really looking forward to some good miles in this shoe in the dryer months. Thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Good honest review. Have to say it looks nice, you could wear it down the pub (when they re-open). Think it's definitely designed for more buffed out and rocky trails, not sure how well it would perform on the sloppy, muddy trails around me in the West Yorkshire Pennines.
Spot on review! I have the infinite and the Enduris and sage a lot of your thoughts on the infinite. The Enduris has more stack height and a softer foam. Like you I didn’t feel the plate in the infinite but I did feel it quite a bit in the Enduris. I think they make a good trainer/racer combo.
Thanks Thomas I'm glad you agree with my thoughts 👍 I've been really surprised with the shoe. I thought it might be a lot of hype and not a lot of performance but that's definitely not the case 😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
4mth old vid. I had them delivered, but haven’t run in them, the ankle collar seems high, worried about blister. Did you have any issues? Thanks as always!
Not at all, actually the complete opposite. The heel and ackle collar felt really comfortable 😊 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's appreciated 🙏
I was looking forward to reviews of the North Face Vectiv shoes. I appreciate you didn't go for the Flight series. Too bad the shoe is so expensive though.

Thanks very much 😊 The Vectiv Infinite is design to do a similar job to the ATR from Hoka but I personally think it's does everything better! When it comes to cushioning I'd say they are quite similar 🤔 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Great review! Would definitely like to give these a go in the dryer months and hope the prices come down! I was a bit confused as to what was the difference between the three shoes in the range was?! As far as I could work out it came down to the different plate compounds and upper materials?
Thanks Tim, glad you enjoyed it 😊 Yeap they all have similarities but the top of the range shoe, the flight series is the lightest in the range and it has a Carbon plate in the midsole. The Vectiv Infinite is a little bit heavier and has a Pebax based plate in the midsole. It also has the same Matryx upper as the fight series. The Vectiv Enduris is the heaviest and softest shoe in the range. It doesn't have the Matryx upper the other two shoes have but it does have the Pebax plate in the midsole 👍 Hooe this helps Tim and thanks for watching the channel 🙏

Another great review! And lot's of fun to watch! One question: does the toe box offer some room? My feet are more on the wide side so I can't cope with really narrow shoes... Salomon standard passform like on the Sense Ride 3 or S-Lab Ultra 3 works well...
Thanks Roland, really glad you enjoyed the review 👍 It's actually a very similar fit to a Salomon sense Ride 3 but I really wouldn't call the Sense Ride a wide shoe? 🤔
Well done the Review! Sometimes I do some small trail in the worrest, but to go there takes half way asphalt milages. So final round 10k street, 10k trail. Do you think its ok with it or wearing down too fast?
Hi Martin 👋 Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. 10k on the road is definitely going to wear any trail running shoes grip down quicker. The rubber compounds tend to be a bit softer than a road shoes so it bites in and gives better traction on the trails. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏😊
That's exactly what I was thinking too. 🤔 Would be nice to hear what to expect and whether another full on trail shoe purchase is going to be needed to complete this race? Hard to judge based on the current weather conditions what to expect in July
Another good review there Loyd. Was interesting to hear you say that its good for roads too. Im more of a trail monster myself but will go onto roads when I get fed up with mud and sliding all over the place ;-) Would love to hear your thoughts on this one then versus say the Hoka Rincon v the Speedgoat v Peregrine? As a mainly road v trail shoe?
It definitely runs well on the road, it's very comfortable in that environment. It's quite hard to do a V's review against a trail shoe and a road shoe because they are both designed for a completely different type of running and have lots of different features. We definitely be having some comparison videos on the channel this year 👍 Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment it's appreciated Phil 🙏
2 short questions! 1: I'm flat footed with overpronation. I read on the product page that it has a high arch, which is good for me. You think this works out without orthotics or nah? 2: Is this cool enough for summer days casual use? Literally cool/ cold, not cool cool
It's really hard to say if your orthotics will fit with out seeing your orthotics. If they are made to go in running shoes then they might? Some orthotics are just to wide at the midfoot and they won't fit in! Do you always put orthotics in your trail running shoes? The breathability of the shoe feels really good, I haven't run it in any really hot weather yet but it feels good. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel Rich 🙏
Love the look of these, not sure if I could justify the price when they only work 3 seasons. Or maybe they could partner my peregrine’s who know’s 🤷🏻♂️. Great video 👍
Thanks Lewis, really glad you enjoyed the review 👍 To be fair there's not a lot os trail shoes that can handle all seasons. However the Peregrine 10's do it really well 😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏
Think you raise an important point. Looks much more like a shoe for hard packed American or Alp trails, not one for northern England! Trail/Fell running shoes are the only occasion when I look where they were designed - shoes designed in California promising grip in all conditions do tend to grip in all conditions, so long as they are Californian ones.
Yeap it's definitely a trail shoe for dryer, alpine conditions and it did have a lot of testing in that kind of environment 👍 But if you're looking for a shoe for British fell running conditions it's definitely not the shoe 😊 Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏
Thanks for the review, Lloyd! I’m an Altra loyalist but there’s something about this shoe that really intrigues me so I might give it a shot. Speaking of traction, what are your top picks for mud-friendly options?
It would feel and fit quite differently compared to your Altras but it's a nice shoe to run in as long as it's not muddy! My picks for muddy conditions would be Saucony Peregrine 11's, X-Talon Ultra 260 V2's, Scott RC, Hoka Evo Jawz. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's appreciated 🙏😊
The Buff jacket is pretty good and reasonable priced. I've used them for a few years now and they offer good levels of protection and are really well made. The one thing I would say is the breathability isn't the best. After testing and reviewing the Ronhill Gore-tex jacket a few months ago I probably wouldn't use it in a long race or training run again. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏
You nearly got me sold untill you made the comparision with the SG, which is anything but "connected". I'm still going to give it try, doesn't seem to be available online yet though..
I did actually say in the review that the Vectiv Infinite feels way more connected than the SG 👍 It was more about the rocker in the midsole! Thanks for watching 🙏
I personally think it's a great shoe for 100 miles on dry trails Matthew 👍 I think I'll be doing a fair bit of racing in it this year. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's really appreciated 🙏
It could definitely do that Will but its quiet expensive! If you only want to dabble with trail running you could probably get away with something cheaper 🤔 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
They do the Vectiv Enduris which is the cheaper shoe in the range at £125. You might be able to find an old pair of Hoka Speedgoat 3's in the sale somewhere? It depends what size you run in wether you'll find any 👍 Hope this helps and thanks for watching Will 🙏
I have a backyard ultra coming up and I'm going to give these a try. Originally wanted some speedgoat wides but can't get a hold of them for love nor money, these sound like they tick all the boxes
Awesome David 👍 The backyard ultra concept is brilliant, I'm hoping to do one next year 😊 The Vectiv Infinite is a really nice shoe but you said you were after a Speedgoat wide? If you need a lot of width in your shoes then I wouldn't say the Vectiv is a wide shoe 👍 Thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Reaaally like the looks of this shoe. Unfortunately, if it can't handle muddy terrains that well, I'm going to pass. Here in tropical country, all trail running spots are muddy or just puddles of mud.
Yeah it's a shame it doesn't handle mud better! 😔 I think that will but a lot of runners off the shoe, which is a shame because it runs so well on everything else! Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
I love my Saucony Endorphin Speeds, but when I've occasionally been on trails running down hill the energy return is almost too much ... what are these shoes like on the downhills at speed? Thanks!
@@bykez Not at all! It's great for running down hill and up hill. It's the midsole of your Endorphin Speed's that make it feel that way. Obviously the Speed's are designed for repetative road running and the North face shoe is a trail shoe, that's what it designed to do. I'm actually just about to go and run in my Vectiv Infinite 😊
It's nothing like a Altra Lone peak Bilal! The Lone peak is Zero drop, has a wide foot shaped toe box, no midsole rocker and less depth of cushioning! They are totally different shoes 😊 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's really appreciated 🙏
All runners have to pronate to a degree to get through their running cycle. If you mean over-pronate then most trail running shoes are neutral in structure. The trail environment is a lot less aggressive than the hard repetitive road so structure and stability aren't as important 👍 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
You could hike in it if you wanted to Bilal 👍 The North Face actually do some hiking shoes in the Vectiv range now. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy the review 🙏
@@Run4Adventure thanks for my next shoe, I was looking for something that I can do both regular trail running and occasional hiking in the Peak and Lake Districts. A lot of trail runners and hikers recommend the new Altra lone 5.0 but your review has tempted me to get the North Face shoes. Keep up the great work!
A lot of runners and hikers in the US use the Altra Lone Peak. Just be aware it is a Zero drop shoe, so the heel hight is the same as the forefoot hight, so no heel off set 😊
@@Run4Adventure I heard about this but never used a zero drop shoe. Do you have a video explaining what the issues are with zero drop shoes? I heard that zero drop is more ergonomic and suited to how are feet should be but I am not sure if this is just for advertising purposes?
@@bilaltahir9978 It is meant to be a more natural position to be in but most of us have spent 100's of years in shoes with a heel. It's obviously a personal thing that works for some and not for other. You'd have to take your time getting use to running with a zero drop shoe. You'd be best building up mileage very slowly over a 6 to 8 week period so your body can adapt to the change. If that's not something your interested in then I'd maybe go for a shoe with a heel off set 👍
INCREDIBLE REVIEW!!!! Well done love the comparison i love running in my speeds goats! Looking forward to picking these up! Keep up the great work! You slayed it mate!!!
I have no idea what you are on about? 🤔 I did buy this shoe thank you very much! It cost me £145 of my hard earned money. I actually buy most of the shoes I review.
@@ifonly4486 you are right i didn't know much about New England trails...so I've watched 10 vids on them from different people and times of the year... the North face shoe will be perfect for New England trails.
I'd say this shoe is good on technical terrain say like you get in Europe in summer, anything rocky and it shines. It just can't cope with deep sloppy mud, which, sadly is all we have round my way at the moment!

Reaaally like the looks of this shoe. Unfortunately, if it can't handle muddy terrains that well, I'm going to pass. Here in tropical country, all trail running spots are muddy or just puddles of mud.
Yeah it's a shame it doesn't handle mud better! 😔
I think that will but a lot of runners off the shoe, which is a shame because it runs so well on everything else! Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
I love my Saucony Endorphin Speeds, but when I've occasionally been on trails running down hill the energy return is almost too much ... what are these shoes like on the downhills at speed? Thanks!
It's definitely not designed for running trails, especially not down hill! It would be pretty unstable I should imagine Jesper! 😬
@@Run4Adventure I was thinking of the North face shoe, is it too bouncy with the plate running down hill? I'm thinking north down 50 in May... 👍
@@Run4Adventure Thanks, perhaps see you at the serpant trail this year 🤘
@@bykez
Yeah hopefully, I'm looking forward to it! It's a wicked event, what distance are you running? 😊
Great review Loyd. Just adds to my confusion? ??
Sorry Roland! 😊
It's a good shoe though, perfect for the Classic Quater 😉
Thanks for watching!
@@Run4Adventure . Thought you would say that
Love that little toe tap shoe modelling you do, never fails to make me chuckle.
I always check no ones watching before I film it!! 😂
Glad it makes you laugh and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Is this comfort for hiking?
I think it would be fine for hiking but I'm sure TNF make a hiking version of this shoe 👍
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Just ordered mine Infinite x elvira color 👍
Hope you enjoy them and thanks for watching 🙏😊
How does it compare to the altra lone peak?
It's nothing like a Altra Lone peak Bilal! The Lone peak is Zero drop, has a wide foot shaped toe box, no midsole rocker and less depth of cushioning! They are totally different shoes 😊
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's really appreciated 🙏
Hi do these work for pronation runners?
All runners have to pronate to a degree to get through their running cycle. If you mean over-pronate then most trail running shoes are neutral in structure. The trail environment is a lot less aggressive than the hard repetitive road so structure and stability aren't as important 👍
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Would this shoe be appropriate for hiking too?
@@bilaltahir9978
It is meant to be a more natural position to be in but most of us have spent 100's of years in shoes with a heel.
Do these have good grip?
I go into detail about the grip and traction from the outsole in the review Britney 👍
INCREDIBLE REVIEW!!!! Well done love the comparison i love running in my speeds goats! Looking forward to picking these up! Keep up the great work! You slayed it mate!!!
Thanks Derian that's really appreciated 👍
Really glad you enjoyed the review and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
I got the for nursing lol
When you said hills I heard heels and I thought "wait waat" 😂. Maybe at the weekends eh 😂.
Definitely hills Michael!! 😂😂😂
You reviewed a shoe you didn't buy with a justification that the less expensive model is good enough... Defeats the purpose of objectivity
I have no idea what you are on about? 🤔 I did buy this shoe thank you very much! It cost me £145 of my hard earned money. I actually buy most of the shoes I review.
💙🌱💙
Vectiv sales in Scotland = 0
Yeap unfortunately not great in mud! 😔 Thanks for watching the review I hope you enjoyed it 🙏
Of course I loved it. Thanks for all your great videos.
Cheers Andrew 🙏
Very much made for the American "trails" no mud no tech just hard pack stone man made paths.
Try New England trails in the Appalachians !! Very rooty rocky techy. Looks like you don't know much about " American trails "
Definitely a dry weather shoe Charlotte 👍
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel its appreciated 🙏
