@johnnyboy9881 on a general level, you're right. Many so-called J-rock vocalists are tenors who enunciate things like their peers do. Some of it has to do with how japanese is structured and intonated. Even though I'm pretty much fluent in japanese (soon-to-be 3rd year uni student majoring in Japanology), it's still easy to see and hear how most singers are kind of...wailing, with nearly matching pitches. However, Hizumi's timbre is amazing, and I think he's really distinctive. I love Despa.

Kelvinrps He can't sing anymore bc of his vocal cords, he went to a bunch of doctors for help and even drank a lot of different tea. Though from what I've seen he has his own website and I'm sure he models in clothes on his twitter. Even if he hurt his throat I'm sure he's happy with his life right now.
