The Patrick Kavanagh was the last proper pub you didn't manage to squeeze in in Moseley. But bloody hell mate you put a right shift in there! Love these videos, much love from a local Brummie.
The building is called the Kingsway. Was a cinema many years ago. Was a campaign to save it but it burned down. For a few years they used the back of it as a community space. There was a beer bar and a gin bar and a few street food trucks. That stopped two years ago because they are supposed to be building flats. No sign of any building yet.
Good God, your constitution is phenomenal! There are some legendary drinkers in that neck of the woods but I don't think anybody has done so many pubs in Kings Heath AND Moseley in one night! A Blue Plaque awaits.
Red Lion has an upstairs function room where in the 60s was famous for Folk. Ian Campbell played often, father of the Campbell brothers that formed UB40.
The Bull’s Head in Moseley used to be owned by Adam Regan who also owns The Hare & Hounds in King’s Heath. Was also a great pub and late night music venue before it became The Cuban Embassy.
? Davenports . Blimey 😮 I haven't heard that name in a least 45 years. Back in the 70s they would do home deliveries of 🍺 . There was also the Alpine Pop wagon. One of my favourites was Dandelion and Burdock 😊
I was in fletchers bar the other Saturday i really enjoyed it the beer was good and they had a dj playing old and new classic tunes all in all a good night we had i would recommend it.
Moseley has great pubs! Love a good Ember Inn as you mentioned, I think there a good chain pub. Normally go into The Bell on the Birmingham Road in Walsall. Top Video ….Smithy
i was in the pub of kings heath a while back and i overheard someone telling the bar lady that one Guinness tap was for regulars and the other for everyone else, i was served a pint of Guinness that was rotten, tasted like it had been mixed with slops, seriously, i took it back, she changed tap and it was better, not great but certainly better, i never went in again and never will.

Glad you enjoyed my stomping ground, wish I'd have been available so I could have come and have a pint with you.
