I think you should bring the station back, it would be so much easier and convenient for people to get to Haverhill via rail.

This is pure gold. I was at Cangle from 1964 to 1969 - then at the Secondary Modern till 1972. Dad was at Hopkins and Williams and then IFF. We first settled at the then newish Clements Estate before moving to Cambridge Way. Chapmans was a toy shop when I was there and I remember the market outside St Mary's. Very fond memories indeed.

Thanks for posting this, very interesting. My ancestors fill the Haverhill graveyard, quite a few were silk weavers.

Im pleased that film of Haverhill has been made. I cannot remember Haverhill, but I was Born in Cambridge and brought straight home to THE WOOLPACK which is on my birth certificate. Dad worked at the Co-op and at night in the Woolpack. Age 2/3 I was taken back to Nottingham, and only seen Haverhill once about 10 years ago. When I visited the Woolpack..

If it was Haverhill, MA- they would be driving on the right side of the road.. not the left!!

+soundnicetome I remember it well, I grew up in Bradford in the 50ties and went to High School at St James. Great job, Al.

@@maryloulossman1021 I'm sure you mean haverhill ma, not haverhill in Suffolk england.
Bradford is north England nowhere near haverhill, But in haverhill ma there is a close village called Bradford.

Do the original films of this still exist? We'd love to re-telecine them digitally and clean them up.

What a gigantic cock-up. Build a new town then close the railways serving it.
