In the Beastiary the dragon is taken to be symbolic of those who reject Christ: Eustace initially doesn't believe and rejects Narnia and Aslan. Becomes a dragon as a curse for greed Redeems himself and is restored by Aslan.
The digital effects are amazing in this scene. The detail they put into him opening his eyes and seeing Aslan for the first time. This scene was really good. I have not read the books but I still enjoyed this movie.
Please read the book. The scene where Aslan surgically removes Eustace’s dragon scales after Eustace’s own desperate attempts has a lot more meaning, depth, and nuance in the book. You can read the book scene here where Eustace recounts what happened in flashback mode. citylifecrossroads.wordpress.com/2009/10/20/eustace-the-dragon-meets-aslan/
Eustace turning into a fearsome Dragon was because of anger, hatred and not believing in Aslan or Narnia. Satan is the wicked dragon and poisons us with sin etc and Jesus changes us by his power, we who are tainted by Satans power into the image that he first made us in, restoration. So this was excellently presented when eustace was changed from a dragon back into his original form aslan did a work of restoration, which changed eustace from the inside out!
If the movies went to literal perfection of even one charecter from the books it is Aslan....tho I like Eustace and Reepicheep amd Mr Tumnus and a few others too.

In the book, Aslan ripped his dragon flesh off him at the bottom of a well. Eustace described it as incredible painful, and then strangely pleasurable, like scratching an itch. I would’ve liked to see a more faithful film adaptation, but I understand why they made it this way for theaters.
All Christian comments saying that the dragon means sin or something, while I’m in here wondering WHY ON EARTH would someone want to go back being a human when you’re a giant flying fire breathing magical creature?🤨
The dragon 🐉 style is Alright but I wish the eyes were as it was described in the book. Dull red eyes but this look In the movie ain’t too bad. Also love the message of this part in the movie and book. God bless you all.
Hey it's Juris Prudence They did such a good job making him ugly as a person that it kinda affected how you looked at him even after he changed. A bit unfortunate, since he should have felt likable after and the guy isn’t really ugly.
I don't understand why C S Lewis thought that being turned into a dragon would be some horrible punishment, instead of the coolest thing ever. I wanna be a dragon!
I have a theory: there's 3 movies of TCoN, there's 3 parts of God: The father, the son, and the holy spirit. In TLTWaTW, Aslan sacrificed himself and came back to life; kinda like Jesus: God the son. In the 2nd one (can't remember what it's called), from what I remembered, Aslan wasn't there most of the time, but they still knew he was with them; kinda like God the Holy Spirit. Basically, what I'm getting at is I think each movie represents each part of God. It's just a theory, so don't attack me, but correct me if I was wrong at all! ❤❤
Doesn't this completely miss much of the allegorical significance in the book? The book makes it appear violent and extremely gruesome for Eustice to be ripped open and transformed back into a human. In the movie, there is no violent tearing of flesh - an allegory for the pain and suffering involved in taking off the old man and putting on the new - but instead some quick, magical transformation where Aslan doesn't even touch Eustice. This is one of the reasons this Narnia film series failed.
This film was made for children and young teenagers, you think they’re going to show eustace having his flesh torn off? We know Aslan is a representation of Jesus, this scene did a good enough job.
@@jamespoole3531yes I read this when I was in fourth grade and I understood the significance behind the graphic description. This is stupid! In the book, Aslan takes takes him to a well and he tries to scales off but couldn’t so Aslan did it for him and threw him the well and became a boy. Another thing that annoyed me about this movie was they didn’t follow the Christian Parallels, Eustace’s undragoning is a parallel to the Baptism.
I can only see one Christian parallel, im not sure if this counts, but at the end when Aslan told Edmund and Lucy that he’s in our world by another name. Another thing that upsets me about this movie was that they didn’t add the lamb at the end of this movie. The lamb is a parallel to the lamb of God.
I wasn’t magically saved, Jesus ripped apart my dead body from my soul. The book is better. In the book it reads that he began to tear off his flesh piece by piece until revealing Eustice ❤❤❤ here it just seems like some magic spell was removed… the graphic way it spoke about it in the book shows how we are reborn and become a new creature leaving behind our once dead body now alive in Christ forever Aslan looks Eustace in the eyes and beckons to him. Fearful yet strangely compelled, Eustace follows the huge lion to a mountaintop garden. Standing by a well of clear water, Aslan instructs the boy-turned-dragon to undress. At first Eustace is confused, because he isn’t wearing any clothes. But then he remembers that he’s a giant lizard, and all reptiles can shed their skin. So Eustace tries to free himself. He painfully tears away at his layer of scales, but underneath is another layer. He begins ripping into the new layer, but underneath is yet another layer. He continues to repeat this process until he is absolutely exhausted from the pain. He simply can’t do it anymore and whimpers to Aslan in defeat. Aslan replies, “You will have to let me undress you.”² Eustace reluctantly and fearfully agrees to let Aslan shed his scales. He lies down on his dragon back, and Aslan plunges his enormous claws into Eustace’s chest. The pain is unbearable. Finally, the lion reaches deep into the chest cavity of the dragon and pulls out a small, trembling boy who is dripping with filth. Aslan then throws Eustace’s pale body into the waters of the well, and in a few moments, Eustace breaks the surface of the water and gasps for air. He is no longer a dragon. He is finally the boy he was created to be. He is washed, clean, changed, and made whole. His friends are no longer scared of him. In fact, when his friend Edmund sees Eustace, he exclaims, “You have been - well, un-dragoned.”

Imagine someone manages to find out how to get to Narnia and than they decided to build a ship. A oil powers Collier Ship that looks like a Proteus Class Collier ship and the only way for this ship to get from earth to Narnia is by capsizing and sinking down into the depths, only for it to rise out of the water in Narnia. This ship is called Espejismo with means Mirage in Spanish and it’s called this because it can disappear and reappear with out a trace. It can go down in one ocean but come back up in another. you'd think Lucy and her Brother's cousin with all his money and education would've known better than to mess with a Dragon's treasure horde cause likely scenario is it's gonna be highly cursed
In the book it's specified that Eustace didn't know much about fantasy stuff, he only cared about animals, especially insects, and very technical books. And to be fair in the book he's also forced to stay in the dragon's cave because it's raining outside. He falls asleep while waiting for it to stop and when he wakes up he's already a dragon.

In the book it reads that he began to tear off his flesh piece by piece until revealing Eustice ❤❤❤ here it just seems like some magic spell was removed… the graphic way it spoke about it in the book shows how we are reborn and become a new creature leaving behind our once dead body now alive in Christ forever
Aslan looks Eustace in the eyes and beckons to him. Fearful yet strangely compelled, Eustace follows the huge lion to a mountaintop garden. Standing by a well of clear water, Aslan instructs the boy-turned-dragon to undress.

He continues to repeat this process until he is absolutely exhausted from the pain. He simply can’t do it anymore and whimpers to Aslan in defeat.
Aslan replies, “You will have to let me undress you.”²
Eustace reluctantly and fearfully agrees to let Aslan shed his scales.

@@RickDreamer Rick... Sooner than later now, we'll have a heavenly coffee face to face. Do you need prayer brother? Let me know. I'll fast with you if that's required too. Are your folks well? Greetings from Uganda brother.
@@keithpaul3122 pray for me please. Jesus set me free, but im still fighting off the flesh
@@Ruben27780 sure. I'll pray right now, that the Lord will give you awareness that in Him you have a heart like His, and lead you in the way to be like Him.
You may not change immediately, but when it happens you'll immediately change.
Knowledge is a development process, & you become what you know. So don't judge yourself by where you are, but as who Jesus made you in Him, because that's where you're going, that's who you truly are. The rest is just a journey.
Jesus is a prophet of Allah may peace be upon him not God.
Dragon ki apmaan mat karo😡
Imagine someone manages to find out how to get to Narnia and than they decided to build a ship. A oil powers Collier Ship that looks like a Proteus Class Collier ship and the only way for this ship to get from earth to Narnia is by capsizing and sinking down into the depths, only for it to rise out of the water in Narnia. This ship is called Espejismo with means Mirage in Spanish and it’s called this because it can disappear and reappear with out a trace. It can go down in one ocean but come back up in another. That is an if, if someone dose unlock the secret’s on how to get to Narnia.
Will there be a new movie again?
The fact aslan is Jesus on the original world which is earth

@Solomon Idris I’ve already watched it on lookmovies

@@BrokengamingYt007 chronicles of narnia
you'd think Lucy and her Brother's cousin with all his money and education would've known better than to mess with a Dragon's treasure horde cause likely scenario is it's gonna be highly cursed
@@teierabollente3642 well this wasn't the book
@@devonbickett349 I know but this movie also isn't the best adaptation. In my opinion the only thing they nailed is Eustace. I was just explaining why it doesn't seem to make sense in the movie. It's just bad adaptation in my opinion. There are a lot of other stuff that don't make sense in this movie.
Eustace was alone when he found the gold and was much less evolved then. Edmund and Lucy would have known better.
Wow
The one good scene of the whole movie.
