I waited to get a slightly used in near new condition one for a good price. It’s stunningly beautiful. Keeping it in box for collection. Good comparison vid btw!
Hey Pyruss, the camera captures different lighting when recording. Thats why the image looks different in person appose to recording images from a device. The camera just captures different lights. Cameras gives off a blue hue when recording oled footage.
Congrats! The screen makes a huge difference and the game this unit is themed after is pretty, pretty good as well! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Nice video pyruss. I have 2 oled model switches and a tottal of 5 switches, including two switch lites. I left my launch model oled on the bus one dayand had to buy a new one. So i ended up with two.
OH! The extra storage space with 4k video output is more worth it than the original. They should have made OLED the standard version and just dumpster the base
i don't know, I just don't see the appeal of spending almost 500$ for what is infact only cosmetic changes fron the outside when I allready have an OLED. I did a shell swap on my joycons as I found TOTK shells with the exact colour of the limited edition switch as well as the nintendo information printed on the back, furthermore I prefer the original dock as I can customise it with different faceplates, which makes it uniquely mine
@@PyyrusGaming Would you recommend it to me as someone with a worn down and partially broken 2017 switch (stand and sd slot is broken, and joycons have stick drift), but is wanting to upgrade to this oled one?
I also thought about buying the Switch 2 upon release but I saw this and I just had to buy it before it gets way too expensive I've never had a special edition switch before so this will be my first
@@PyyrusGaming I definitely am a fan of Zelda and I can't wait to get it I know with the rumors of the switch two being released soon that it might seem pointless to get but I'm not sure if I plan to get a switch two for awhile

@@CoboDaHobo Yeah except I don't plan on upgrading for awhile plus my fiance bought me my TOTK OLED Switch and it's really special to me so I'm not going to sell it ever

My switch lite died and j was looking to get an oled for a while. Snagged this edition new for 279 without tax, including which it came to about 320. The screen is a helluva change, lemme tell ya. I think for anyone getting their first switch, or coming up from the OG 2017 model the oled is worth it. This edition? Only if you’re a collector or find it on sale.
I agree with you on all accounts brother. Anybody else saying that the oled model isn't needed, either can't afford one ot never used one before. The oled screen makes a big difference in how the games look.
I just ordered the new Zelda switch. I’ll sell my old switch to my coworker that’s looking for a cheap one. Is it easy to transfer info between systems?
Yeah, you can transfer everything through the cloud. You may be able to remove the memory cards and watch it over, but either way it’s pretty easy to do. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hey again PyyrusGaming i just got my Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo switch and im looking for a way to protect my joy-cons and the back of my switch from scratching if you have any product recommendations i would appreciate it.
Hi @breakpointanimz2391 - I don’t really use anything to protect my joy cons, but you could always get those silicone covers. All I use when using it in hand held is the Satisfye grips which sort of protect both the joy cons and the back. Just make sure you get one that fits the OLED. www.satisfye.com/collections/grips You can also protect the thumb sticks with silicone covers which are pretty cheap and come in a ton of different colors and designs. Hope that helps!
It’s definitely a great option! If you play mostly docked it won’t make as much of a difference, but with these long games it’s really nice to have the big, clear OLED screen for a better experience! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hey PyyrusGaming I'm planning on getting an oled and I'm trying to get a joy-con and back stand protector do you have any places in mind where I can buy protection for my Oled
I ended up getting the Power A ToTK case because it came with a screen protector. I also like the Satisfye grips, so I got one of those as well. The case was like $20 but it seems like the price went up on Amazon. The grip is $50 I think.
@PyyrusGaming sorry to be a pain😅 but I couldn't find the Power A Totk case so could you please put the link in the description my Oled is a big upgrade from my normal switch and I want nothing bad to happen to it sorry its ok if you don't want to do it
Bro, in your opinion, does the slightly bigger switch Oled screen, MASSIVELY improve visibility , in game? That’s my main reason for upgrading from my original switch but as I’ve not held an Oled switch, I don’t know if visibility is improved. I’d be so annoyed if I buy and it makes no or little difference.
I think massive might not be the right word. It’s definitely better and very noticeable, but it’s not a huge difference. I think it’s the extra space plus the clarity of the screen that makes it worth the purchase. It’s just really easy for the original Switch to look washed out. That extra bit of space also helps with text legibility too. Hope that helps!
@@PyyrusGaming thanks for reply but I decided that I’m not going to bother and will stick with my original switch. I just set up my sim racing rig and after going back to sim racing, i have much less internet in my switch.

I totally understand where you're coming from. How ever im a game collector and many other game collectors also love adding special edition consoles to their game room collection. For me paying ten dollars more was worth it but i agree they should have totally packed the game with it.
Refurbished, it's as low as $250! That's a steal, especially since I can sell it on eBay or something for like $275-325 when the switch 2 comes out to get one!
