Why do companies insist on making these things so ridiculously ugly?? Sea Foam Green paired with hot pink??? Aren't adults using these? How about...BLACK. Or dark gray. Maybe even light gray so it matches the cartridges. Maybe black with a fake woodgrain for a classy 70's throwback. At least it will look like furniture and not the ugliest dog toy ever. EDIT. Ok, the AVS is pretty decent looking. Surprised they made something that looks like an adult would buy it.

Using a dry erase marker combined with some Bestine will often get marker or pen off a cart. Depends on what kind of marker and how long it's been on there. Look into Bestine (heptane based solvent) there's some great videos here on how to use it to clean stickers and marker safely off of plastic carts.

When you update firmware, that's when you can change the one "custom" palette to any one of your liking. The AVS menu always calls it "custom" so you have to remember which palette you chose. I'm currently using the "Wavebeam" palette, but there are so many choices, just a slight hassle to swap out the one custom slot. I've had my AVS for a year now and absolutely love it. I got an Everdrive N8 Pro, loaded it with NES ROMs, Famicom ROMs, Famicom Disk System ROMs, and NSF sound files. The ability to play NES and Famicom carts as well as use the Everdrive N8 Pro for ROMs is so awesome. You've got to hear Akumajou Densetsu (Castlevania 3 Famicom) on the AVS, the music is amazing compared to the NES. I use the 8bitDo N30 translucent black wireless controllers, they fit and feel perfect in the AVS.

highly (cheap) underrated games you should add to the list, or buy regardless: Arch Rivals - A BASKETBRAWL!, Darkwing Duck, Gremlins 2, Monster in My Pocket, Snow Brothers, all of these are awesome and play great, also.... if you like DuckTales, you'll also like Felix the Cat, so i don't understand the meh reaction to that game.

Ingenius a lot of solutions are sometimes counterintuitive. Try the brush and 99% isopropyl alcohol but test it on a small part of the plastic if it'll have a bad reaction. God bless.

Agree with your video! People are talking as if everyone needs access to this “pro” version of a console that exists. The normal everyday version of the console is the accessible version of the PS5 it’s not obsolete it’s a great console and there’s an option for people who may want a little more out of it.

Using a Dry Erase marker on Discs is a better example of this technique. Because they aren't textured, they clean up really nicely.

The markers contain Isopropyl Alcohol which is what's doing the work here. Better to just go get a $2 bottle of that at the pharmacy and use a paper towel to remove Sharpie.

You also have to consider that the consumer can't ignore things like online subscriptions and a closed ecosystem where consumers are at the mercy of developer's. Meanwhile in PC your free to optimize your game the way you want plus you don't pay to play online. Can be a higher cost at first but youl save money in the long run since games are cheaper as well , in conclusion you have my dislike sir for missinformation and glorifying Sony all the way. 👍

This kind of comparison to PC to prove value is played out.They did the same thing with the PS3. You get more bang for your buck because of the cost of the tech. The PS3 was launched at 600 bucks, but the parts were worth well over 900. That doesn't matter. The cost isnt the same as the value. The value is the most important thing. 699 could be a low price considering the cost of production. But it doesn't have the value, to most people. What is a piece of hardware worth if it's not worth all that much. It's the usage that determines if something has value or not..

Xbox is quitting and sony is fleecing their players. Nintendo will be the last man standing and have a console in every home. They have generation defining ip we can all afford to buy for our family no matter their age.

I will still wait for a later reworked pro type. Maybe were getting a pre build disc Version. For now its not for me. I still play on a full hd monitor and if i upgrade that to a OLED Monitor i will consider an upgrade to a disc Version. I can wait a little bit Longer 😂

However, i would really be interested in hearing your perspective on the fact that the pro will not really cost 700 dollars for the most people , but actually 800 Euros (for the Europeans, that happen to be a considerable base for console gaming). And let me point out that 800euros are 890 dollars....

You make some good points, but they are selling the PS5 Pro as the premium version of PS5 so all it should include the drive and stand. At scale it probably cost Sony less than $15 dollars to add the drive and stand but they want to gouge us $100 to buy them separately. If they would have just released one version of the PS5 Pro with a drive and stand at $699 it would have gone over much better.

you have no clue of what your talking about its not just about the hardware its about freedom of what u have as pc owner why would sony or microsoft making loose selling hardware because then on long run they can monopolize their stuff.Also when 1 part of pc break its easy fix mostly when 1 part of lets say ps5 break its a hassle or even almost impossible to replace ,or when you want to upgrade something its also a hassle on console.For me buying a consol is like signing a bad contract which will suck u dry over time lol
