Hi Linda, I really enjoyed your “Never Been Proposed To” story. I’m 64 and have been married for 41 years. My husband did propose to me, but only because at the age of 19 in 1979, I said “if you don’t ask me to marry you, I’m going to start dating other boys”. I didn’t want to spend anymore time in a relationship going nowhere. Seems so funny now. I wouldn’t “live together” either. I wasn’t opposed to the idea, but I didn’t want to hurt my family. I had wonderful parents, grandparents and older aunts and it would have been hard on them if we lived together without being married. I enjoy your videos. Take care, Anna

Hi Linda. It's good to make different content and we all seem to think of things to do around the same time. I enjoyed listening to your 5 things, very i impressive to have a connection to Sean Connery. I couldn't give blood as I had glandular fever in my twenties. My husband did as our second son needed a blood transfusion when he was 6 days old then developed hydrocephalus and needed major surgery when he was 8 weeks old. Also thanks for the mention I appreciate it. ❤ x

My terrier is 14 and always had occasional stomach upsets. These got more frequent. I discovered that chicken (I’d cooked not in dog food) upset him. I got the royal cabin stuff and other brands for older dogs and sensitive stomachs. I also give him sardines (in water) a few times a week which he loves. I find the beef strips and chicken strips treats from Sainsbury’s) suit him too. He’s been so much better.

As a non cooking person all of my knives are gloriously blunt and in a shocking state. They are also thrown unceremoniously into the drawer without a care. However, I do have some nice steak knives that work as they should. 😂 "You can have these for your birthday" had me howling with laughter....it's a familiar refrain in this house too 🤣 xxx

Hi Linda My dad always gave blood then when I was 9 I got yellow jaundice and gave to him we were both very poorly . At the time my mum was due to give birth so she got wizzed off the hospital to get away from us . Dad actually didn’t see my brother for about 10 days. Then he found out he couldn’t give blood anymore so as you can imagine I wasn’t to popular!! I didn’t get proposed to either we went to dinner for my birthday to a lovely small old hotel when he went to pay the bill my hubby says to the lady I see you have started to do weddings (it was quite a new thing then) have you got a brochure . When we got in the car he handed it to me and says what do you think . Obviously I said yes as we had are 26th anniversary last May. Very entertaining video as always . X

I got a clothes steamer for my birthday. I happened to say they look good at some point 😂 I ordered off Temu it took so long to come I’d forgotten what I’d ordered. It’s like an adult lucky bag.
I was a regular blood donor esp as I have one of the rarer groups but sadly diagnosed with blood cancer 4 years ago so they sadly don’t want any of my precious blood anymore.

You have a knack of making everything you talk about really interesting, Linda.I 'm certainly with you on the blood donating. I had a similar history to yours and wasn't keen on the appointments system. When I was living and donating in Wales, they also introduced a sort of moulded reclining chair to lie on, so not even a bed! Eventually, after I'd had to miss donating for a while as I had had a hysterectomy, they said they couldn't take any more of my blood as I had had stage 1 cancer cells, so that was the end of my donations. 🙂
I know how you feel about elves. I thought it was just me that gets horrified by them. I went into Holland and Barrett a couple of years ago at Christmas and one of the staff was in full elf outfit including the pointy ears which looked very real and I was struck with horror and sort of went into a semi trance, I just stood there staring at her with a frozen horror-face. She asked me if I was alright and I said" no your look horrifies me, it's those pointy ears, are they real.?" She was quite upset and so I felt bad for saying that to her but it just came out as I was in a weird state of alarm seeing an elf in front of me like that. I don't know why they scare me but they do😟😱 and I just cannot watch that film Elf that everyone seems to love😱 no way.😒😱 They belong on the halloween scary shelf not Christmas.😒😱

I love the duet cover. I haven’t put my duvet on for winter as yet as I have a quilted comforter on it’s warm enough for now plus a fleece sheet and that adds some warmth. With no winter fuel allowance now I have a fleece full length hoodie so I will be warm enough. My fibromyalgia will flare up with hardy any heating year ( no way will I vote labour again ). I had the same as you lol. I had a box of milk ray and when I opened it there was an engagement ring on it soo can say I was proposed too a. After we had been married about 12 years ago he decided to have an affair. Needless to say we split up and finally divorced. It was the same with second husband and he did the same thing so I was not meant to be married and won’t ever get involved with anyone again. It’s too much trauma. My dog went on the wet version of royal canine but it was organic. He was on that food until he passed 4 years ago. That was so brutal I still haven’t got over it really. He wasn’t soulmates. Hi Linda, I'm with you, I'll never buy from Temu... or Shein! I watched others do hauls from Temu and like you I thought wow thats good. Then once you put the app on you're bombarded with texts and emails etc! But what really made up my mind was one of the morning programmes found out that the metal and minerals in the products they used wasn't regulated here in the uk, and could be dangerous. I think it has something to do with China, this included childrens toys as well as cooking utensils and a myriad of other things. So that put me right off as well... so keep well clear. I remember Diane Cilento, mother of Jason Connery. She was in that weird film The Whicker man 1973 with the actor who played Callan... Edward Woodward and was it Brit Eckland? Not sure about Brit... but it was scary! I always love to know the bankground story of people, I think I'm just naturally nosey... in a good way 😃😄

Loved your bedding, matelasse is a type of stitching or weaving that makes it look as if it’s quilted, I think it has French origins , and ikat is the actual pattern on the fabric 😆I loved the colours too. I agree with what you said about Temu , they bombard me with text messages, 4 or 5 a day at least 😡So I unsubscribed and deleted the app ! It is generally tat, poor quality, you get what you pay for, I bought a blouse, which at first looked ok, however , when I looked closely,the finish was atrocious 😲, it went straight to the charity shop( I bet they struggled to sell it for more than 50p 😂😂) I wasn’t ever proposed to , I married at 41, hubby had been married before, and one day, he just said “ shall we get spliced”,what a romantic gent eh? 😂My Prince 🤡🤣 Fascinating facts about you… I like finding out about people ( not nosey, just interested 😂) Anyway, see you next time, for more laughs x😀

Hiya again Linda. I bet Watford shopping centre has changed since i was last there in 1979! I too gave blood. Started when I was 18 - i used to work in the Pathology Lab (Kings College Hospital) & I used to do the crossmatching of blood for operations. Yes over the years it changed. We lived in a village in Leicestershire & used to have to drive 15 miles each way up the Motorway to get to the hotel they used. I decided that when I was 65 & gave my 65th pint that I would call it a day. It was becoming difficult with their appointment system. My girls used to come with me when they were younger. My eldest became a donor & still does so. The youngest didnt - good job too as she has dreadful skinny veins & just getting a drop fir blood test is a nightmare. When she had an accident once the poor nurses in hospital had to use her feet for IV access! Our last knives were a Josrph Joseph set - very good & my hubby loves the Japanese knives - soooo expensive! Yes i agree about Temu. Im waiting for my 2nd del - I m making for a craft sale next month so only reason Im buying. Good bargains but such a pain! Love the connections! Glas dogs are picking up. C U next time x

Hi Linda, It was a fun idea to share some of your life stories with us. That was a fascinating and interesting collection. Your proposal story had me laughing out loud! But better that way I think. I'd have died of embarrassment to have someone go down on one knee in a public place. I have to say I did wonder about all those elves......! I thought you'd had a couple and family had moved in. Congratulations on having donated 50 units of blood. I think that's really public spirited and you have definitely done your bit. We all ended up doing it when I lived in the Caribbean, (Barbados). Sorry, I do mention it far too often, but it's hard not to as I was there for quite a long time). The system there is that, for elective surgery you, or a friend or family member must donate a unit before the op can take place. Any old blood group is OK as its not personally for you. (And that would be a bit odd wouldn't it? Take a unit out and then give it back to you later.... 🤣 It's not unusual to find people going around asking if anyone can spare a unit of their finest ruby so you can get the job done. But it does mean there is always an adequate supply in the blood bank. Absolutely entertaining as always Linda. Thanks for such an interesting and fun video.

So I said well why don't we get married then I don't need to go home lol..we married the following year in a very windy October in '75. we divorced 10years later.only 17 when I married. I'm with you, I'll never buy from Temu... or Shein! I watched others do hauls from Temu and like you I thought wow thats good. Then once you put the app on you're bombarded with texts and emails etc! But what really made up my mind was one of the morning programmes found out that the metal and minerals in the products they used wasn't regulated here in the uk, and could be dangerous. I think it has something to do with China, this included childrens toys as well as cooking utensils and a myriad of other things. So that put me right off as well... so keep well clear. I remember Diane Cilento, mother of Jason Connery. She was in that weird film The Whicker man 1973 with the actor who played Callan... Edward Woodward and was it Brit Eckland? Not sure about Brit... but it was scary! I always love to know the bankground story of people, I think I'm just naturally nosey... in a good way 😃😄

I watched a channel 4 documentary on Shein last year. They don't pay their workers properly, so I wont buy from them either! x

Loved your bedding, matelasse is a type of stitching or weaving that makes it look as if it’s quilted, I think it has French origins , and ikat is the actual pattern on the fabric 😆I loved the colours too.
I agree with what you said about Temu , they bombard me with text messages, 4 or 5 a day at least 😡So I unsubscribed and deleted the app ! It is generally tat, poor quality, you get what you pay for, I bought a blouse, which at first looked ok, however , when I looked closely,the finish was atrocious 😲, it went straight to the charity shop( I bet they struggled to sell it for more than 50p 😂😂)
I wasn’t ever proposed to , I married at 41, hubby had been married before, and one day, he just said “ shall we get spliced”,what a romantic gent eh? 😂My Prince 🤡🤣

I too gave blood. Started when I was 18 - i used to work in the Pathology Lab (Kings College Hospital) & I used to do the crossmatching of blood for operations. Yes over the years it changed. We lived in a village in Leicestershire & used to have to drive 15 miles each way up the Motorway to get to the hotel they used. I decided that when I was 65 & gave my 65th pint that I would call it a day. It was becoming difficult with their appointment system. My girls used to come with me when they were younger. My eldest became a donor & still does so. The youngest didnt - good job too as she has dreadful skinny veins & just getting a drop fir blood test is a nightmare. When she had an accident once the poor nurses in hospital had to use her feet for IV access!
Our last knives were a Josrph Joseph set - very good & my hubby loves the Japanese knives - soooo expensive!
Yes i agree about Temu. Im waiting for my 2nd del - I m making for a craft sale next month so only reason Im buying. Good bargains but such a pain!

Hi Linda, It was a fun idea to share some of your life stories with us. That was a fascinating and interesting collection. Your proposal story had me laughing out loud! But better that way I think. I'd have died of embarrassment to have someone go down on one knee in a public place. I have to say I did wonder about all those elves......! I thought you'd had a couple and family had moved in. Congratulations on having donated 50 units of blood. I think that's really public spirited and you have definitely done your bit. We all ended up doing it when I lived in the Caribbean, (Barbados). Sorry, I do mention it far too often, but it's hard not to as I was there for quite a long time). The system there is that, for elective surgery you, or a friend or family member must donate a unit before the op can take place. Any old blood group is OK as its not personally for you. (And that would be a bit odd wouldn't it? Take a unit out and then give it back to you later.... 🤣 It's not unusual to find people going around asking if anyone can spare a unit of their finest ruby so you can get the job done. But it does mean there is always an adequate supply in the blood bank. Absolutely entertaining as always Linda. Thanks for such an interesting and fun video.

Glad you found out about the little shoes👍🏻I tried temu but didn't like it..I proposed to my first husband in a round about way,a case of "do you have to go home"? So I said well why don't we get married then I don't need to go home lol..we married the following year in a very windy October in '75. we divorced 10years later.only 17 when I married. I met my second husband while divorce was still going through,( no he wasn't reason for divorce)he actually proposed,we were together 20 odd yrs.now on my own & embracing my golden years 😊 love your little stories,well lady of the manor have a lovely wednesday (I watched vid Tuesday eve) catch up with you next Time 👍🏻💕
