Hearty effort going out in that weather, what a beautiful part of the World. I’m sat watching in N.Z. Awaiting the arrival of cyclone Gabrielle, a cat 3 storm, so we can look forward to winds of up to 150kph and between 300mm and 400mm of rain, on an already saturated land, we have had nothing but rain all summer as a result my VW hasn’t ventured far lately!!! Happy days keep up content 👍
I'm really impressed with how the T6 handles hills and altitude. Last year I took mine through the french alps and even at 8000ft the engine still had plenty of power for the hills. Amazing views and the starry skies are awesome. Definitely recommend it as long as you're not put off by driving along next to a very big cliff edge.
Ace mate, the only weather i hate is icy windy conditions. Looking forward to Roseberry Topping that Barb has nicknamed Strawberry shortcake, don’t ask haha 👍👍👍👍

Great video I feel your pain we were on the other side of Windermere at Bowness at the same time you were at Low Wray and had 7 days and nights of solid rain but we didn’t let it stop us from get out for a walk. The week after we moved to Keswick and had a week of snow …..you get 4 seasons in one day in the lakes which we love. Keep up the videos really informative and interesting Regards Mike
We love it up there too. We often park on the top and cook a meal…. In the summer of course 😁 It’s Blea Tarn that - lovely walking around that area too! 👍

The little lake is Yew Tree Tarn. That view of the Pikes is a stunner, visited last October in beautiful crisp sunshine and loved it apart from lots of reversing back to let vehicles pass.
What you need is an army camouflage gortex jacket. They sell them on the go army website for £44. I have had one from the army and navy stores for years, it is great in foul weather with sweater layers underneath and lots of waterproof pockets as well. I commuted 34 miles a day in all weathers, in a cycling gortex jacket for 25 years, year in, year out. Couldn't have done it without that gortex jacket. Water never seeps through until it gets worn out. The army ones are just as good.

Hey buddy, it was screwed to the strengthening mounts on the van (the ones where the ply board screws to when it's a world van etc). I used self tapping screws. hope this helps

Hey I keep the pop top down as it makes a huge difference to the temperature in the van at this time of year. I'd only pop the top if I really needed to.. the pop top thermal wrap we have makes a bit of a difference but it's still better with the lid shut ;)
Hiya, do you mean the camera mount? If so it's just a standard tripod head, I used the hole already in the dash (a blank for a other 12v port I think) and fastened it in with some washers and bolts ;)

the reservoir is called Blea Tarn just south of the national trust great langdale camp site. i was there just before xmas the views are amazing .
