    When he shows the "This is what people CAN'T see!" part, you can hear the mummy in the background. "Eternal death" right before you even get to the part.

    I remembered that the ending part used to be longer when they had the cart spin around several times covered in fog. While that happened, Imhotep walked towards the riders really slowly there were also strobe lights in the distance repetitively flashing. Is it just me? If not, then why did universal studios remove that? Probably traumatizing to young kids I'm guessing.

    Been on both versions and Florida is a longer much more complete ride. Did Florida first and when California opened wondered where the rest of the ride had gone - that said they had limited space to play with.

    The Orlando Mummy is my favorite still, mainly because you get launched into his mouth and plunged into darkness. Also, the scarabs come right after the riches part and there is a point where you believe the ride has endend and it hasn't. The concept is just too great. This version has some neat elements as well though, with the mummy arms descending from the ceiling and such. Still neat, I love the rides.

    my favourite part about roller coasters is getting on them, I love the feeling of getting into a cart full of other people who are excited to ride :D

  • @alexf02071999
    @alexf02071999 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Well since they both opened within a few weeks of each other, it's safe to say they were both planned and built around the same time. With Universal Studios Hollywood, I believe they had a smaller building to work with, so Premier Rides developed a more compact layout for USH while they made a longer, more spread out layout for the larger show stage at USO.

    • @thirdanimator3347
      @thirdanimator3347 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is quite sad that land in CA costs so much. If it were like Florida, where you can get land quite easily, then we probably would have many of the USO rides without restraints, instead of having to replace our old ones.

    Just got back from there. Went on this thing without knowing squat about it, and the whole propulsion thing really took me by surprise! It feels much faster with the lights off then when I see it with the lights on. Maybe it's just cause I really wasn't expecting it.

    @SpilledCoffeeStudios the thing is with any ride that has fire built in; you might not get it. For example on this ride; there is a cape then comes down in the last room you go into; where you go facing backwards to forewards; if the cape thing is there fire will be there....

  • @MancWithAMouth

    I think they learnt a few things from this one and implemented the more atmospheric feel into the one in florida as the on in florida has more advanced enviromental effects or seems to have them and has a few more bits that are abit more lively

  • @uchihaaddiction
    @uchihaaddiction 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @michaeljacbabe15 If you notice, the vehicle approaches the scarab wall from the track on the left-- while you're watching the bugs, the track on the right is shifting into place to take you 'backwards' down an entirely separate way. Then all that's left is the final part mechanism that spins you to face forward again, and you're back at the station.

    Usually google maps in areas such as themeparks , restricted areas such as airport grounds etc are very dated ,along with the fact the style of warehouses that these rides are in are extremely basic building structures and could easily be put up within a short space of time, more so with the fact of universals lovely budgets it could put in

    @shaqman145 USH is the original, old theme park. it is really small, so you cant really fit more rides, but just rebuild them and rename them. Therefore, Universal Orlando is more advanced with better longer rides.

    Hollywood is kind of the cheap version of "Revenge of the Mummy" because I think that they need to have more hieroglphypics and paintings on the wall. Also, the Launch sequence needs to be straight up and the mummy warriors need to come at the person and swing their sword so it looks realistic like they are coming after you. Lastly, the scarab scene needs more hieroglphypics and more realistic.

    First of all the only Revenge of the Mummy that contains fire are the ones in Singapore and Orlando. I do remember in the Hollywood one, the fire effect was just light and they would light up the room with the smog. One thing I think they should change which is an easy fix is the hologram for the reverse section. They should get rid of the old scarab hologram and replace it with the hologram they use in the reverse section in the singapore one because in singapore the wall shatters.

  • @Crazycoasterkid21
    @Crazycoasterkid21 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    The track is bigger...here in Hollywood they had a limited amount of space and converted a small dark ride(E.T.) into a coaster...The one in Orlando has more theming and spacing becasue the park is larger...also remember the themed area for rides is smaller due to the fact that Hollywood is an actual studio/theme park while Orlando is just a theme park .

    Hardly like there running out of space though is it at either parks? Im sure almost every warehouse is connected to another in some shape or form from how i remember the public view of the parks being and even the glimpses of bits for staff members depicts the layout for it all so im sure they could easily convert another for the ride but the USH one is by far a crappier ride, just has a slightly better mummy animatronic

    I believe that THIS particular ride is better in Orlando, however I am not saying that all the rides in Orlando are better than the ones in California. The reason that I like the one in Orlando better is because of the height of it. Even the man who was giving the tour said that the facility used for this ride WAS rather small, so the ride lacked height. The one in Orlando didn't have that restraint, and for me the added height it had just made the ride much more thrilling for me.
