I've got the same topper. Sleep in mine often. Industrial warehouse complex at work is a great boondocking spot for me. I work out of town so this works!
I have the 2014 F150 and want to build my camper shell the same way. I'll carpet everywhere including the tailgate. 1/2 the bed will have the bed with storage underneath and a shelf on the other side for the camping stove for bad weather. Storage under that shelf with a battery box and I'll be set. Keep up the great work!
I’m currently homeless, living off of my motorcycle, but I will be getting a truck soon. The girlfriend and I plan on boondocking while we work so we can save our money and buy a house.
I just saw a video of a girl Mrs j on cheep living rv TH-cam she makes close to 100k delivering rvs around the states if that helps maybe not but wanted to share ✌
That’s definitely becoming clear. In a later video I think it was relatively smooth because it was around 4;30 am already so it was mostly light out while I was parked at the truck stop.
I want to do the same in college(stuck in too much debt and don't want more) but my mom is going to call me crazy. Financial aid will cover my tuition but that's it, not enough for living costs. I can park overnight on campus too for free

I lived in a VW Bus in the 90's. Finding a good place to park probably will be your biggest challenge.

How tall is your shell? It looks like you can't quite sit up totally straight?
If I remember correctly its about 4 feet from the truck bed to the ceiling. Can't sit up straight while I'm in bed, but I'm 6' 2"
