TODAY WE PERFORM THE BLACKSTONE CAMP GRIDDLE SMASH BURGER TEST. LET US SEE HOW THE BLACKSTONE CAMP GRIDDLE PERFORMS MAKING SMASH BURGERS. #BLACKSTONECAMPGRIDDLE #SMASHBURGERS
This is really a game changer for those of us who really don't want to haul around the big griddle. I have a Members Mark Steel Griddle that we were taking camping and it was a beast! The weight difference between the two are just incredible! I love this comes with a handle.....really looking forward to our first cook on our trip mid April!
Thanks for watching and subscribing. If there is anything you would like to see done let me know. I am going to cook a couple New York Strips tomorrow night on the camp griddle. It will be my last video with that griddle for now. I probably will do some videos of it when I'm camping.
In the words of Adam Sandler. “ not to shabby”. I could live with that for the camping weekend. Would be cool if they would come out with a rolled steal insert in the future.
I'd say it worked real well. I did notice you didn't smash them as much as you usually do. I'd be happy with a burger like that. Like the camera work in this video Doug! Watching a little PoorGuy. Nice. Thanks for the shout out my friend.
Great job! I’m subscribing! Love you are showcasing this new portable griddle. Would love to see a cook where you do the smashburgers for 4 people. How would thinner metal handle the heat dissipation 🤔
Thanks for watching. Loading it up with 4 big smash burgers sounds like a plan. I'm trying to get the new Blackstone silicone press. Once I get my hands on that I will make the video. With how hot and fast this griddle does I think the results will be good. Thanks for watching.
Great video! If i get this and the suface starts going bad i believe i could just take this top off and run it through the bead blaster at work then just use it as a regular steel griddle. Have you heard of anyone doing that or if it would work?
You had my mouth watering for a smash burger. . . until the American cheese! Good review of the griddle though - I'm looking for something a bit more packable for overloading.
I’m having a hard time finding the grease tray liners on the Walmart website and on the Blackstone website. My local store doesn’t have them right now.
That would be cool for sure. Blackstone is selling a bunch of these griddles so hopefully Camp Chef jumps into the market. Speaking of Camp Chef did you see the Grid Iron 36" griddle. Their new griddle looks pretty sweet.
How's the cleanup on this thing? For car camping I just use a griddle top over a Coleman stove and it works great but cleanup can be annoying. I know, first world problems. 🤣 I think I'm just trying to talk myself into an upgrade the more videos I see of this thing.
You didn’t smash these nearly as thin as you usually do in previous smash burger trials. I’m guessing because you were worried about using nylon scraper/tools. Totally understandable.

The portability and compactness is great. You will enjoy this little unit very much.
I found your channel a couple of days ago and love it. I have watched quite a few and am a new subscriber. Keep up the great videos.

Yes someone needs to make a carbon steel top. That would top it off for sure.
I think they went to weight. And it's probably cheaper with aluminum, plus the ceramic coating
Nothing like a good ol’ burger. Your’s are the best!!!
I did a great job.

I had to be careful not to scratch the non stick top. I messed around with the camera a bit. I had to throw in a little Poor Guy shout out.
Success Doug! Looks like it may do the job for you 🤞. Burger looked 🔥 , Bring on a steak😂😂. Have an awesome weekend and Happy St Patrick's Day 🍀🍻
It's got some heat. I think it will rock out some steaks. What do you think New York Strips or Ribeyes?
@@griddlecookeatandmore Go with a NY strip,lol🍻
@@gharv1313 New York Strips it is 👍👍👍

Looking fwd to it!

I presume it would work. The top is made from aluminum.
When they put the carbon steel griddle on I will be interested
I wish they would have. .
You had my mouth watering for a smash burger. . . until the American cheese! Good review of the griddle though - I'm looking for something a bit more packable for overloading.
What no American Cheese!!! This is the most compact griddle I've seen. It has become popular with the over landing community.
Thanks for the review you saved me a future return. Too bad it's not the steel cook top.
I agree. Blackstone missed the mark on that for sure. I'm looking at fabbing a steel griddle for it.
I’m having a hard time finding the grease tray liners on the Walmart website and on the Blackstone website. My local store doesn’t have them right now.
I found mine on the top shelf by the normal grill accessories and not in the camping isle.
I hope Camp Chef comes out with a carbon steel or cast iron version & not the non-stick so that I can buy it.

@griddlecookeatandmore No I haven't. I will watch some videos on it.
Do you have to season it, being that its coated?
No you don't. It is a Aluminum ceramic titanium coated surface and is ready to cook right out of the box.
What size cutting board is that? Thanks
Not sure the size. It's Blackstones newer cutting board. I got it at Walmart.

It has a non stick top so cleaning is pretty easy. A little water and paper towels. It is a decent size griddle that becomes nice and compact.
FOUR slices of cheese on 1 burger!!!!!!!!! Holy 💩!!!!!!😳
They were small pieces of cheese 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching.

You are correct I normally smash my burgers super thin and feather the edges out but did not want to scratch the top on the Camp Griddle.
PS it's about car camping
Perfect compact size for car camping.
Those are my kind of burger, Doug, smashed but not to the point they look like paper. That camp chef is one hell of useful griddle.
Was that a joke? This isn't a camp chef.......it's a Blackstone camp grill !!😊
@@johncadloni4538 No, just a mistake, I've been working a lot lately.
@@johncadloni4538 I appreciate being called out when I'm wrong, someone needs to keep my ass in line 🤣🤣
Don't be Mis Gendering my
griddle 😂😂😂
@@griddlecookeatandmore Camp ma.m chef, got it 🤣🤣🤣
