    Love the concept, question the execution and cost. I can wait for a Black Friday sale. Thanks for the review.

    I live in the Myrtle Beach, SC area and all the Walmarts here had empty spaces. After about a month of looking every other day, I decided to expand my search and Charleston, SC Walmarts indicated in stock. 2.5 hour drive and the first Walmart I stopped at did not have them, even in the back. Hit paydirt at the second Walmart. Walmarts here in the Myrtle Beach, Conway area still don't have them. Love mine.

    I just got one. Made two meals. Easy clean up. Space saver in rv. It weighs a lot less, too.

    Great job on reviewing it but it's made more cheaper than the originals they should sell it for 59.95

      I agree the price could definitely be lower.

    I like that blackstone keeps coming out with new products but lately a lot of them seem rushed to production. There’s no reason the handle and latches couldn’t be beefed up.

    • @dirtyoutdoorsman
      @dirtyoutdoorsman  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree. Hopefully they’ll listen to feedback and make changes on their next gen version.

    I agree with your complaints, however I felt the quality was WAY better than I expected when unboxing mine. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @dirtyoutdoorsman
      @dirtyoutdoorsman  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hopefully it will hold up over time. I’ve had time to use it and aside from a couple other initial issues, it seems pretty robust.

    I just got my 22" Adventure Ready w/ folding stand from Walmart for $145 out the door, the trick is to ask the employee who actually works in the garden dept. if he has any "scratch and dent" or floor models, mine was a future floor model that was left outside in the box during our last storm.

    • @dirtyoutdoorsman
      @dirtyoutdoorsman  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s awesome! I’ll have to check for any scratch and dent deals the next time I’m there.

    Been looking everyday since Todd Toven's intro video, finally "found " some in stock about 50 miles from me last night. Road Trip today. I've had a 22" for years and love it. I wanted this one for same reasons you mentioned including weight reduction in the RV. I'll compromise for the aluminum for the reduced weight.

    I'll stick with my single burner coleman and single burner size lodge reversible for the price/quality comparison. But im just a batchelor, so its plenty for me. Awesome of you to put this review out for us to compare our options before we comit to a 140/150 price tag experiment. I really do appreciate it.

    The build quality does not surprise me, it is in line with most other camping grills on the market. for the reduced weight and size some compromises are made. It's purpose built for camping/portability, weather or not it's worth it is hard to say since it just came out. Might need to wait to see how it holds up long term

    Just got back from returning the one I found. Felt like it was made very cheap. Top cover sheet metal looks like it would rip away from the one hinge. Will keep carrying my 17in even though I don't care for the weight

    I believe that notch on the side is just to make it easier to access the leveling foot so you don't have to lift the griddle after you have started to cook (since that will be when you will notice the unevenness the most).

    • @dirtyoutdoorsman
      @dirtyoutdoorsman  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is definitely a possibility.

  • @jkranzfire
    @jkranzfire 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    It's 26 pounds and $150. Not a $600 griddle. I have one, and it works great. Its purpose built, and it serves its purpose.

    • @dirtyoutdoorsman
      @dirtyoutdoorsman  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      True, but there’s always room for some constructive criticism, especially on a products first iteration.

    I have had my order canceled 3 times so far even though they were “instock” at my local store.

    • @dirtyoutdoorsman
      @dirtyoutdoorsman  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Even though the website shows it’s in stock, it may be that it wasn’t out on shelves yet like my local store. It’s possible that the employee didn’t know how to check inventory or just didn’t want to search for it in the back.

      Try searching for “Blackstone Adventure Ready” on the Walmart website. Hopefully that will help you find them so you can see if they are in stock at your local store.

      @@dirtyoutdoorsman …. Tried that…. The only thing that comes up is the 22” one with and without the stand. Ironically, the new 5piece accessory tool kit that was released with the camp griddles comes up as well as was in the stores I visited in abundance lol…. Go figure….

    • @dirtyoutdoorsman

    There are NO CAST IRON BlackStone griddles!!!!!!!!! They are mild steel formed metal!!!!!!!! There Will NEVER be a CAST IRON cooking surface!!!!! THIS☝️ is a CAST ALUMINUM “COATED” cooking surface!!!!! This is as CLOSE to a cast cooking surface you’ll EVER see on ANY griddle!!!! Period!!!!

    Unfortunately this is what happens when you don’t read the owners manual before diving in the deep end. You are NOT the first TH-camr I’ve watched break the lid lock and not be able to insert the tabs on the cooking surface.

    • @dirtyoutdoorsman
      @dirtyoutdoorsman  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The lid lock wasn’t broken, it just wasn’t tightened down which was the issue. Since I tightened up the nut it has worked great. Now that I’ve used it quite a bit, the tabs aren’t too bad once you get used to them. The griddle lock though is still a bit awkward to use.

    Ya lost me at ALUMINUM and COATING... stupid. I use a griddle and cast iron so I don't poison my family and friends.

    • @dirtyoutdoorsman
      @dirtyoutdoorsman  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They do have 17” or 22” cast iron models if that’s what you prefer. Not quite as portable but resolves that issue.

      It's not your daddy's nonstick. This isn't Teflon, it's a modern coating. Ceramic titanium, totally safe under normal cooking conditions.
      Treating them as they're meant to be treated, ie, not cooking under super hot conditions, is what the purpose is. Add to that the questionable durability of the actual coating and how it is applied on these (my first had some spots with uneven coating) comes into question. For eggs, bacon, melting cheese and pancakes, no issue. But I wouldn't try searing a steak or anything on it. Again, purpose built with a purpose. If that's not your purpose, one of the more robust surfaces would serve better.
