  • North American Bohemian Waxwings (Bombycilla garrulus) breed in Alaska and northern Canada and visit the northern US states every winter looking for fruits and berries. Similar in appearance to their more common US cousin, the Cedar Waxwing, the best way to tell them apart are the white and yellow spots on their wing and the white wingpatch, clearly visible in flight.
Bohemian Waxwings also occur in Northern Europe, Cedar Waxwings do not.
