Protea is one of my go-to frame for most of steel path mission, and she works especially well in long-run game modes like Survival, Armageddon and like. Plus she has it all, survivability, weapon sustainability, scaling damage and synergetic passive. And she does not need weapons to get through steel path!
As for Archon Shards, I'd recommend Crimson for Ability Strength or Ability Duration and Amber Archon Shards mainly for Casting Speed.
Also if you want to mod for raw EhP, consider replacing Rolling Guard or Equilibrium with Archon Vitality so you get double heat procs with Blaze Artillery.

Howe about using Gyres Helminth and Archon Stretch as well?
Since youre building for range and duration, i have a few recommendations if youre tired of roar. Nidus’ Larva or Gyre’s Coil Horizon to pull enemies into a ball, which synergizes with her turret and allows it to scale quicker! If you want status immunity and movement speed, nezha’s fire walker also works really well with her and keeps her safe from knockdowns and toxin procs. She’s super versatile and one of my favorite frames!

You've been my go-to content creator for years when it comes to builds.
I've been running adaptation and arcane guardian. I sounds very inconsistent but I've never had any issues with this alternative. I also use ensnare instead of her 4th to drag enemies and stack my artillery.

I love this series! I'm using your Xaku build, and I'm gonna use this too. I do plan to squeeze in Archon Vitality for the double heat procs for her Blaze Artillery.
What did you replace for Archon vitality?

@@qbob3530 idk, I found myself struggling without it for energy- especially when camping a long corridor. With equilibrium it's literally infinite energy with dispensary. Just spam skills all you like

Hello ! Found out there is a synergy with sevagoth, with it's 2 and Mark of Death. Could nuke like revenant with Mark of Death. But I can't find the proper synergy, could you look into it ? The Mark of Death comes before its 2.
It's like 1 -> 2 -> MoD -> 2
But cant figure out why it's working from time to time. I mean its weird.

Why dont we use archon vitality?
What about archon vitality, I feel like you can get rid of blind rage for archon vitality to really buff the blaze artillery because of the passive on it.
But protea is a Shield Warframe, her survivability comes from her 1 mostly, having more health won't help that much and it only buff blaze artillery

If you take any requests, I'd like to see some (good) Biting Frost Frost build or something good for Revenant's Dancing Macabre (with a side of Mesmer Skin bc it's the bnb of the frame on SP).

So, without Rolling Guard OR Adaptation, what do you suggest?
You can just rely on the holdcast of Protea's 1. That's usually a full shield recharge and refreshes shield gate.
Natural talent for faster casting of 1 to stay alive
Arcane resistance for the toxin works great
i would take adeptation over rolling guard, since it works on shields they will not break as fast.
Would be pointless in sp tho since the damage will get high enough where it one taps ur shields anyways

every protea build i find and use sucks, you cant even do sp mot void let alone endurance
Sounds like you're using her wrong, I regularly do multi-hour missions in SP with her
Wdym? Even based Protea is busted with temporal erosion(yeah I know there are better armor strip options) but I kinda like the "its rewind time" and oh yeah more survivability. Most of my protea playstyle is either silence (cause f eximus units) or gloom
