    What’s your go to snack at your local convenience store ? If you don’t have one... what’s one thing I’ve eaten in this video that you’d try ??

    I miss Hong Kong. Somehow I never get tired of visiting that place. Even after visiting there for about 20 times in the past. Hong Kong never fails to amaze me. Keep it up, Janice. 🤓🇭🇰🇦🇺

      Yeah same here! Something about Hong Kong that just makes me miss it if i've been away too long. maybe the food, or the culture, or just the buzz of the city... probably all three.

    the 7/11's in Japan...ONIGIRI!!!! It is life. Nice Aussie Canto(?) too :P

    • @JaniceFung
      @JaniceFung  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      oh HELLO!
      man i 100% agree. Onigiris are the best. i love that they dont wrap the seaweed with the rice so it's never soggy.
      haha yes that was canto. it gets a bit rusty when i stop speaking it but once i get into the swing of things i'm native all over again ;)

    2023.12.19 Enjoyed your video. Thank you for your neat and brief video. I enjoyed food items in 7-11 stores, as well as Family mart. I am just satisfied for regular cup of black coffee from convenience stores as compared to barista(s). One point that dawned onto my mind when you dropped in the Circle K store was that could this Circle K (as we literally call it) simply meant 'OK' (?); with the 'O' circled outside the 'K' ? Thank you; and stay fine.

    Mmm good to see the cha siu bao was good here!!! I didn't like the one I tried in Taiwan 7-Eleven :(((

      @JaniceFung  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      when i first saw them i thought they'd be really dry but it was actually really good. if the bun was less 'thick' it'd be even better though

    I had the captions on and it was hilarious. When you ate the bbq pork bun and said it taste exactly like yumcha the captions said ‘’ taste exactly like young child’’ haha Sounds so wrong but funny at the same time. Janice I didn’t know you eat small children for breakfast.

    Great Vid
    If you ever want a camera man,let me know. The first 2 times I went to Hong Kong I ate nothing but Seven Eleven in case I got sick.
    The milk teas in a bottle warmed was my favourite thing.
    Can’t find them any where in West Australia.☹️

    Say Janice if you get to Japan check a you tube vid of Anthony Bourdain and David Chang (Momofuku ). Its convenience store foods and timing off when you arrive . ( David in early days lived of them ). Id like your experience as and Aussie on it .

    I am a qualified teacher and plan to move to HK too, especially as I can speak some Cantonese (I'm half). What is HK like for gluten free food? As in food available in convenience stores and supermarkets?

    I was in Hong Kong at the end of 2019. I want to go back! So frustrating not being able to plan and book travel now.
    Asian convenience stores have such better options than here in Australia

    I know I'm late to the party... but I'm confused by this video... why would you choose to buy food from 7/11's and convenience stores instead of a diner or restaurant? Are the prices that much different? Just curious 💜

    • @JaniceFung
      @JaniceFung  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i just really like checking out convenience stores when in Asia - the food that they have available is so much more extensive than what's available at a 7/11 here in Australia, so i always make a point to check them out when im visiting!
