- I've had the chance to stay at several Salem, MA hotels over the years, and in this video I'm sharing a breakdown of the pros and cons of each one I've stayed at to help you plan your visit.
**While two of these stays were hosted stays, my reviews are honest and transparent. I did not partner with the hotels for this YT video in any way. The collaboration was for a TikTok & IG video, so this was not part of the exchange agreement.
If you have a favorite (or least favorite =0 Salem hotel, let us know in the comments!) I hope this helps people in choosing a hotel to stay at, and I hope you enjoy your Salem trip!

Great video! The Stepping Stone Inn is one of the few hotels I haven’t stayed. Check out W10 if you stay at The Salem Inn again, it’s a great unique room. Hotel Salem is great too if you don’t mind the noise outside or upstairs. And The Merchant is my favourite overall. Ill be staying at these locations durning Halloween again 🎃
Thank you! Great recommendations! I would love to eventually check out Hotel Salem and The Merchant! I love The Roof at Hotel Salem. Will add a new video once I get to try a few other hotels. Thanks so much for watching!
I love ur sweater with the Ghosties on it
Hotel and inn prices in Salem really are outrageous at this point. Better plan is to stay in one of the outer areas along the rail line and take the train/bus into Salem. The parking prices are ridiculous, also.
I agree. I honestly haven’t paid for a hotel downtown in a while with the exception of our mini moon. In college we always stayed in Danvers or Peabody. It really is a little ridiculous 😮 I agree! Outside of high season is a little better but it can get very expensive very quickly.
Any suggestions on hotels in the outer areas by the rails going into Salem?
@@joedycook7870 I like the Boston Peabody Marriot in Peabody. It’s very close to the train which is about an hour ride to Salem I think. It may be faster.
@@HexesandHorrors thank you, you have any idea on the cost of the train to Salem? Thanks
thank you so much for this! im planning a trip all the way from canada and this is super helpful
@@onemore7632 how exciting! I hope it can help you! I’m staying at The Coach House again this weekend and the Peabody Marriott which I love as a more affordable option. Going to post another review soon after this trip! Happy to help!
The Merchant is astounding
I'm staying at the Hampton Inn in September. Can't wait!
@@ScorpioMoon how fun!! Enjoy your trip!
I recommend Hotel Salem if sharing a room and splitting cost. Pros: close to many desired locations. Its right on Essex. It also has 2 bars rooftop is popular. You can visit clean bathroom instead of searching to find one. Lastly its modern andGreat window views and clean with air conditioning as well as affordable. Cons: no breakfast, only coffee. Most rooms have only one bed. There are trundle beads that are comfortable but its an extra charge. No cable TV. If you have laptop or use their tablet or screenshare your cell for movies you're good. Sometimes a little noisy because of bar.
Thank you for this rec!! I agree the rooftop is super fun but I imagine it gets noisy at night if staying there. I have been to the rooftop, but have never stayed at the hotel before. I would love to at some point. This is super helpful! Thanks again!
The homeless shelter is the best value😮
We just got back from the hawthorn and there was air conditioning!
IN the room?! Amazing!
My wife and I are planning a vacation to Salem in October, any good suggestions for a good hotel close to historical Salem?
The Peabody Marriott, or downtown I would recommend the Stepping Stone Inn or trying an AirBnB. You may find lower prices than the typical downtown hotels. If cost is not an issue, I recommend The Salem Inn, Morning Glory Bed & Breakfast, The Daniels House Inn or Hotel Salem.
@@HexesandHorrors have another question. I heard there is a place to make your own witches broom? Do you know of it? Thanks
@@joedycook7870 yes it's called The Witchery and it's in the Pickering Wharf. You do have to make an appointment for the broom making or book binding. Enjoy!
