I bought this kit in 2020 with my own money when all was good and customer service was still active ******
Did a few tests today and I can say for certain that It's way better ditching the bluetooth controller for the app on your phone . The thumb control is only any good once you have a bit of speed up , from a standing start on an incline it’s pretty poor . Apologies for being a long winded video so I have added timestamps .
You cannot set the PAS to 100% for some reason so 99% it is.

Another good review of this kit. Really looking forward to receiving it. What would be great is if a dual battery set up was offered (batteries in parallel?) to give a boost in range. I might investigate this myself at some point.
Thanks, I try and keep it real . You could always carry a spare in a bag or in a bottle holder and just swap it when it dies .
Cheers mate. Just received mine, 26 wheel. Had one go it, seems great. Only used the throttle controller at the moment. The phone app looks better.
Yeah I would agree there , however set it about 60% pas on either app or bt controller and just pedal and enjoy 🚲👍
done 45 km today few hills thrown in had 2 bars left when i got home,im still learning feels like motor doesnt kick in all the time but when it does happy days,
I'm thinking of upgrading my freewheel to get a higher gear as, on occasions, my legs are spinning like crazy! Good video.

well ordered my kit today been in ireland cost me a lot more because of brexit.(that clown farrage has a lot to answer for.hope to have it in around 2 weeks i reckon ill be using the smart phone app because they said its tricky using the display on drop bars.
Yeah brexit is a right pain , I returned my GoPro on 28 feb and still stuck in UPS warehouse in uk 😂 roll on 2 weeks 🚲👍

Just buy a battery with the same connector or replace the cells inside the battery you will have...they are very swappable as long as you get the right voltage (36v in this kits case)
meant to ask does the smart phone have to to connected to battery when using app.silly question but got to ask .
No it just connects via Bluetooth, then I just put the phone in my pocket and ride.
seems like this company has gone under and the app software is crap I can't connect anymore so if my wheel 'freezes' again I can't do a wheel restart ... havent been able to get any response from easi-fit ..ho hum
Website under maintenance !! Or he’s done a runner . Poor show for anyone who has just bought or owns this kit, with no help when faults arise .

Hi there, just converted my Carrera Vulcan. Can you use the separate thumb throttle (not the controller thumb throttle) with the phone app?
Yes I think you can , as the separate thumb controller connects via the 2nd cable which comes out the battery base (controller) . Mine is just cable tied to the frame as I don’t use mine . Hope this helps
i would imagine you would get more miles if you had it set up on a road bike slick tyres ?is it possible to buy bigger battery more watts.
Yes totally agree , those big tyres certainly cause some drag . Not sure on the bigger battery but a spare one certainly will extend the miles atb Dave
im hoping all going to plan to buy this in a few weeks my main concern is will it get me up hills and ease that headwind.
@@anthonykelly5 If you read their blurb on the website it should answer you question. I live in the same area and it is one of the reasons for purchasing their kit.

You can’t on the bluetooth controller only via the app using a phone .

If you want it as an assist Ebike yes, but if you want to use it just on the throttle mode no as it won’t be powerful enough.

Mine is set to unlimited so as fast as you can pedal, I usually run out of gears at about 25mph . I don’t use thumb control just have it paired to the app on my phone . Legally supposed to be 15 mph but with the app we can override it. Saying all that it’s only a 250w motor so not super powerful but enough for commute etc

I reckon around 30/35 miles on 60% assist , I paid £499 so yeah deffo worth it 👍

I have just ordered this kit. I won't use the thumb throttle or derestrict the speed. The battery simply won't last long on this set up! My only concern (and it occurred to me after I had ordered) is in three years, or so, when you need to replace the battery, will they still be available and will Easifit as a company, still exist?
yes these are all valid questions , but for me it was worth it .

Your bike does make a lot of noise
Yeah the motor being at the front you do get a bit of noise up to certain speed and then it gets better.
