    I just bought a hidden stereo for my 240. I've been driving it for 14 years without a stereo. Thanks for the video. I'm hoping to have my stereo set up soon. I haven't even tested my original speakers in the doors.

    I've had many Volvo 240s but never with wind up windows. Also I'd go 5.25 front, 6.5 back doors 6x9 rear shelfs. Then go with 10 inch Infinty or JBL for trunk. Wheel well is a good spot or one side of rear shelf.

    Looks almost exactly like my 1991. Your editing is looking really good. I would suggest that when you plug your speaker wires into your speakers, you use a little slide on connectors. If ever time you're twist loosens up a little bit, it will probably break connections quietly

    Cool volvo 240. We had a 240DL back in '86-90, then a 740GL to 2012. I bought a '97 Volvo 940CD Classic in 2007 and still going strong. About to change the original speakers, which were premium in 1997. I might put an amp and possible subwoofer, in as well.
    I'm not much of a D.I.Y. person, but its great to see how you did your speakers from start to finish.
    Blue 240 looks nice. We had a 243 before that around 1983 to 86 in cream with a brown material roof. All our Volvo's were estates, but I do like the saloons.

    Were you able to roll your front windows all the way down without hitting the speaker from inside the door?

      Thanks! I used speakers from infinity, just because I have a family member who loves them, but definitely do research and check crutchfield… that helped me the most!

    How’s the bass on those speakers they sound nice

    • @max._jolley
      @max._jolley  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly not too bad, my 240 has terrible door cards that aren't properly sealed and no sound deadening. Considering that, they sound very good. Both are things I eventually want to do to the car.
