Sir, I am selected for this ICICI PO Program, I want your suggestion and guide is it worth to join it as I am also preparing for State PCS. I am in a big confusion because on one hand I want a job so that I can be financially independent on the other hand I am thinking that taking loan of a such big amount and getting stuck in middle for almost 5 years, will take me into a different direction.. Also, they are recruiting as a PO but the work they will ask to do is anything?? Please🙏 suggest and guide. Thanks
@@sagirsheikh9986 Work will include sales but mostly everything is banking. I suggest go ahead and take job. Continue to work and prepare PCS. Moment you clear PCS or any other job. Switch immidiately by paying off the loan. It may take you to pay 3 to 4 lacs. But since you will be wrking you can take a persnol loan and pay emi later. Loosing 3 lacs is much better then lossing a job opprtunity.

If you have age qualification left then you can hold on and try for other jobs of your interest and if you dont get anything you can try this later. This will make sure you dont regreat later of not trying. Hope it helps !!

@@nikitadikshit7325 It will include sales and you have to some time visit clients. It is dependent on you how you can manage your targets. If hou can achv without going to field you dont have to go. Targets are monthly and reviewed weekly on the progress. If you are lcky and get a branch which is located in vvip area etc. You may find that targets are achieved automaticaly.

I am sorry.🙁 Sir may be I heart you. But the thing is that it is too tough to qualify SBI po and IBPS po so after qualifying this exam and getting the job if someone says that private banks are much better than public sector bank it hearts.....
I understand dnt be sorry, I am telling from experience. Government sector has high security however it is highly under paid and over controlled. Talented people dont need to wory for job security so I feel private sector helps people to get what their potential is. You meet with people who are now retired from public sector, all have lived happy and stable life but most regreat that cause they miss luxary in life and acheiving unexpected. If I tell you what I do, my earnings etc. It is even hard for me to believe what I acheived and thats what I am tfy to share with people and boost thier confidence. You can mark my word, 10 years down the line if you stay in goverment sector when you will see your expense going up and salary nt increasing at same pace you will realize what I am trying to say. I feel you are fairly talented, do take risk after few years and explore to acheive unexpected. You can do great work in MNCs and get what you deserve.
7:00 thats a valid point. If u r very talented then Govt job won't reward u as much as a private job would give u. My brother is a class 1 officer in GoI which many dream of. But his salary is quite less than what his private job friends are getting. In many govt departments there is hardly any work. While in some jobs like defence and civil services u have to work ur ass off from day to night. On the other hand if u one is not talented at all then only one craves for govt job coz their level of private job hardly pays them anything. Overall the majority population is either mediocre or less talented thats why there is so much craze of govt job.
Thanks Ravi for your honest feedback I am sure it will help.people to decide their career path. I have my very close relative in government and in private and when I relate there is huge difference I see. I also feel lot of good talent get stuck to goverment role just for job security and stability and miss the ocean of opurtunity outside. I hope people take wise decision.
I like the confidence boost and the video. But just saying that government basically works for the betterment of society and people. Their main aim is not to earn profit like private sector.
I would agree thats the goal but do you think thats reality. Getting a loan from private institution is much easy then goverment. How will they serve society, agent will take x% as comission. If you profit, you can support society well. How will you serve if you run in loss. And loss is nt for society it is for miss management, inefficiency etc. I am not contesting about government sector however think why IIT, IIM folks dont try for even top goverment jobs. These are few questions push me to think other wise.
Sir the thing is that ,when axis bank is providing an educational loan with 14-15% interest rate,icici with 12-14% interest rate and PSU banks ar providing it at half the rate ..then certainly private banks are bound to provide facilities.. I am quite sure if the interest of both the banks were same..there would have been no such big margins in the service

There are targets and if we don't complete the target we get scold. I'm doing intership and i understood that they only need business.. operational work is only 20-30%. Rest do callings and do sales. If i don't perform in sales is my job is at risk?

Do we have to complete each of the targets while working there? ? Will government banks have similar goals?Will the job be lost if the target in private banks is not met?
If you meet all goal you are performer, if you miss few thn avg perf and if you miss many goals thn low performer. If you consistently be bottom peformer fr a year thn there can be job risk. Dont be wrried if you are hard wrking.

Still now i haven't sent any document or not paid security deposit, on 13 may bank holiday in mail it's clearly mentioned that, you need to do all the process before 13 may, i didn't get more time sir now what i should to do? Can I apply for next time for same ? And in mail mentioned 17 may is program starting joining date . I want to join this job. Please reply

You can join this program once you are graduate. See your interest once you complete studies, available opprtunities etc and take call. If you get opprtunity in mnc go for that but dnt waste time waiting fr it post you complete studies and go for what you get.
Sir i m mech engg. Looking at current situation, Job for core branch engineers are limited. I think will get the job with 15k but looking forward I don’t see any growth due to market conditions and if i had chose banking then my whole career will turn 180* so it’s become confusing for me. You can start with any banking program, 95% applicants in bank jobs are from engineering background including me. So dont wry and you can continue to prepare for gvmnt jobs aswell.
Pay after 3 years depends on you performance. Usualy you get promoted to next level which is managerr inhand salary will around 45 to 50k excluding emi.

Insurance etc. While this sounds tough but if you think logically it is difficult to find some one today who don't have savings account or health insurance or life insurance. Most of the people prefer to keep their funds sage in bank. Not meetig fr a month or so wont impact much. Focus on acheiving as much as possible, achvng target helps you to grow in uour career. Your job is in threat only when you fall in bottom 10% of the team.

@@shawsushil hey thanks for the reply, i just wanted some guidance regarding start of my career , I've done my bcom(honors - Finance) from K J Somaiya College , Mumbai, and scored well, also made 3 projects which consists 1 major and 2 minor, Got nearly 90% in 10th and 12th as well but I'm employed from last 6 months. College placement was not good and still not sure if I'll make it to any company as a fresher, this makes me feel little demotivated, so now the thing is, should i go office by office in mumbai in search of a job , or should i dedicate my 2-3years for getting a banking job in government organizations? And if not , what should i do? Can you help me referring to any of the firms that you've worked in??

Q1 what if you get a negative client base and you're not able to perform for that external factor even when you're giving your 100%. Sir you are wrong in India the top most bank is SBI which has more than 25000 branches and has a huge customer base which any of the private bank don't have. So stop talking all this bull shit.....And private bank is not for poor people. If we should say that we are giving survice then equal survice should be given to poor and wealthy people in the society. Because my role model is Arundhuti Bhattacharya she has telent to she became chairperson of SBI.
Hy SBI is one of the best fr customers and I dnt hv doubt. I was thnking abt the organization from employee point of view. Nt sure if you are aware, all publicsector hv support frm RBI/Centre hence it possible to operate at loss unlike pvt sector.
PGDM is acceptable across industries Ayushi, it has strong value in the market. Any opening which needs background from finance will be happy to consider your profile. Hope it helps!!
SORRY but government works for the betterment of society,a poor can't go to private bank and open account with minimum of 2.5k rupees and access all the services,i have seen many ppl who work for pvt bank still open an account in psb to get the govt benefits,in a way you want govt to spend on you and then encourage people not work for them. You talked about a particular person(in yt) talking about never to opt pvt job in the same way you are talking about not opting for govt job,i see zero difference. Because there is pvt banks and PSBs there is balance.We need both to have a healthy economy. Anyway you/anyone shouldn't encourage people in certain direction,let people decide where they want to see themselves in 10+ or 15+ years. Few get the job but don't know how to balance and few don't get to live the life. Some seek peak some peace. And yes govt sector will never make the profit those top leading giants are making rn and there are reasons for that.

Not in short term but years of non performance may risk. Do wrk hard find links build connect and try achvng goals.

You can join this program once you are graduate. See your interest once you complete studies, available opprtunities etc and take call. If you get opprtunity in mnc go for that but dnt waste time waiting fr it post you complete studies and go for what you get.

You can start with any banking program, 95% applicants in bank jobs are from engineering background including me. So dont wry and you can continue to prepare for gvmnt jobs aswell.

College placement was not good and still not sure if I'll make it to any company as a fresher, this makes me feel little demotivated, so now the thing is, should i go office by office in mumbai in search of a job , or should i dedicate my 2-3years for getting a banking job in government organizations? Please reply. In this ICICI program 52 batch i got final congratulation mail for 10 k security deposit or loan amount or soft copy submit on mail on 10 may evening time. Still now i haven't sent any document or not paid security deposit, on 13 may bank holiday in mail it's clearly mentioned that, you need to do all the process before 13 may, i didn't get more time sir now what i should to do?

Sir you are wrong in India the top most bank is SBI which has more than 25000 branches and has a huge customer base which any of the private bank don't have. So stop talking all this bull shit.....And private bank is not for poor people. If we should say that we are giving survice then equal survice should be given to poor and wealthy people in the society. Because my role model is Arundhuti Bhattacharya she has telent to she became chairperson of SBI.

SORRY but government works for the betterment of society,a poor can't go to private bank and open account with minimum of 2.5k rupees and access all the services,i have seen many ppl who work for pvt bank still open an account in psb to get the govt benefits,in a way you want govt to spend on you and then encourage people not work for them.
You talked about a particular person(in yt) talking about never to opt pvt job in the same way you are talking about not opting for govt job,i see zero difference.
Because there is pvt banks and PSBs there is balance.We need both to have a healthy economy.
Anyway you/anyone shouldn't encourage people in certain direction,let people decide where they want to see themselves in 10+ or 15+ years. Few get the job but don't know how to balance and few don't get to live the life. Some seek peak some peace.
And yes govt sector will never make the profit those top leading giants are making rn and there are reasons for that.
