- In this video tutorial, we will learn how to interface the RC522 RFID module with Arduino and LCD display. The aim of this tutorial is to make a simple authentication security system. When an RFID tag puts on the reader the RFID reader scans the tag ID and the Arduino controller verify the tag was register or not.

Does the tags which comes with Module only work with it ??because I bought few tags separately and they are not getting detected
I think, your new tag frequency doesn't match with your RFID reader. RC-522 reader frequency is 13.56MHz. So your tag frequency is required 13.56MHz.
hello sir, just to ask my buzzer keeps on making sound not like yours. when you only tap the rfid card, mine is a constant beeping sound. pls send help and where did you put the wiring for the buzzer? only in D8?

I have the same LCD display and when I give power to it it shows the same shape as in first part of your video: the upper row is filled with blocks only. I've tried some programs and it seems they are working fine but nothing has been displayed. Of course I've tried to change the contrast but no success. Do you have any advice what should I do? For contrast control please use 10k potentiometer. After changing contrast if you have no result. Please connect your gnd pin properly and power not more than 5v. I hope it will be work.
I have a small four wired controller on the back of the LCD and there is a blue potentiometer for changing contrast. Turning it the contrast is changing but no characters wanted to display.
Are you include i2c library for LCD?

You may have reversed the wiring on the LCD as I did the first time.

Got it to work, how add a relay?
Relay have 3 pins vcc, gnd, and output. Vcc and gnd will be connected with 5v and gnd pins respectively and output pin replaced by buzzer pin. I hope it will be working.
Hey , u should improve this code when the unauthorised card scaned buzzer alarm should turnd on and red lights should indicate ,where green light should indicate when authorised card is scanned....., Also sometimes your code get stacked need to reset Arduino

Arduino uno have 4 GND pins.

thanks for your question. Here i use Arduino uno, RFID-RC522 Reader, RFID tag(125khz), 16*2 lcd display, buzzer (for beep), 10k variable resistor for lcd that's it.
In that system sir, you do also with sms module using gsm module? combining with that system

if only connect to the +5v
you must have to use 10k other wise you can not see the date on the lcd
a pot is used to provide controlled volteage in term to set the lcd contrast
