- In this tutorial we will learn how to use the RFID MFRC522. So we can use an RFID system to open a door. For example, only the person with the right information on his card is allowed to enter.

im going to adapt this for a feeder system im working on for a cat. is it possible to add a second servo that works with a separate tag? or maybe a way to program it so it stays close as long as the tag is it the range of the reader?

I would like to thank you for your informative video. You illustrated all that therein and I could build my security access in less than an hour. I want to add a LCD display to show few information as under:
1."Authorized" message with Name (attached to Card ID) on Successful login
2."You are not authorized" message on wrong cards
3."Use your card" on Idle mode
4.Other messages related to Card

after patching the program to rc522. is it possible that rc522 can perform without arduino or stand alone? im planning to use rc522 using doorlock

Usama Ahmed are you using Arduino ide software? About the serial monitor you have to choose what port you use. Head to tools and select which port. I hope it helps 😊

can we use any other card apart from these given cards? As for example any ATM or shopping card?
Sayantan Maiti nope because the specific cards given with with rfid module have electromagnetic chip inside them so any other card will not work!!

Hi, excuse me could you help me please, I want to start with a variable cont =0, when the keychain is passed I want to change the value to one, and then when I pass again the keychain the value become 0 again, I try but my problem is that when I pass the card the value changes, but then the value changes automatically, and I only want that the value be changed when I pass the card.

The first time that I ran it, all went well, and when I swiped a card in fro, I recieved the correct data dump.
However, I started it up today, and reset everything, ran a new program to clear the Arduino, restarted my PC, and it still did not work. In the serial monitor it says that all is well, no error messages or anything. But, when I put a card in front of it, absolutely nothing happens.any help would be great...
