The flashing effects in this video could cause an epileptic attack actually.

No doctor will take me seriously when i tell them i have seizures. They do not happen often but are the closest to deja vu seizures/temporal lobe epilepsy. But they are just "panic attacks" according to random drs. Ive had panic attacks since i was a teen, they are truly not similar in my experience. I also have a cyst on my brain and have chiari malformation.

Hi, I had a very similar experience and I'm still figuring out what's going on. I've had episodes similar to what you describe for 11 years now, and without any kind of neurological tests, I somehow ended up on Klonopin, Lamictal, and medical cannabis for my episodes after trying nearly a dozen different drugs for psychiatric treatment. Funnily enough, all of these medications are front-line seizure treatments, lol. Since I'm on so many medications, my EEG came up clear, and my neurologist wasn't able to pinpoint a diagnosis from that alone. It was only after showing her a video of my episodes that she was able to realize it was more than just anxiety, and I was diagnosed with catatonic seizures. I had no idea what those were before that doctor's visit, and that video truly made all the difference in a diagnosis. I know it sounds strange, however, if you are able to set up your phone when you feel an attack coming on, record yourself and email it to your doctor asap and tell them you'd like to discuss things with a neurologist if you don't already have one. Doctors are quick to say that everything comes from stress and anxiety, and while those are major triggers in symptoms like seizures, they do not explain the underlying cause or change the fact that these episodes are life-altering and chronically debilitating, which only adds to stress and anxiety. At the VERY least, doctors need to be taking this seriously enough to run blood work, MRI, EEG tests, and most likely consult your case with other medical professionals. I hope this helps and that you get the help and treatment to heal

So I just got diagnosed with epilepsy May 4th of 2024. Before I had my seizures I would have what felt like panic attacks. The day before I awake to ambulance taking me to the hospital I was at working and I was walking and had two panic attacks the second one I almost fell. I start seeing my neurologist the 17th of this month. This is good to know because I’ve had these since I was young, these panic attacks that have seemed to get worse and now I am recently diagnosed with epilepsy and am on anti seizure meds. Thank you. Also I had to stop looking at the screen for a video that is based around seizures please be careful with your transitions…. Lord

Rarely, but sometimes, epilepsy is caused by visible lesions in the brain, which can be detected by MRI or CT scan. In such cases, if the symptoms are consistent with the part of the brain with the lesion (in this case, the temporal lobe was affected, which is a part of the brain which works with sensations and emotions, and the symptoms were related to that), then it can be diagnosed.

I would like to know what kind of symptoms did he have? I have some sort of attacks that I get when I wake up from sleep, during the day and night.
During the day I can act weird, if someone is talking to me and i get the attack I just walk away but I am aware of my surroundings and I get frustated that I get the attack. It feels like everybody is watching me and it feels like anxiety.
The attacks during the night could be that I wake up swearing and will be fully awake with my heart beating fast. I have also had grand mal seizures during the night, 3 times in less then a month.
