Thank you so much!!! 🐧 If you're using lemons, squeeze one to two full lemons and add equal amounts of water to the kettle (I also cut the squeezed lemons into slices and add those as well) then follow the same steps. If you're using baking soda, add 2 cups or 500ml of water to the kettle and 1 teaspoon of baking soda then follow the same steps. Happy cleaning!

I watched this to see what other people do. I would like to know if I use lemon, if I just squeeze it in and boil with water, how much baking soda, etc. For right now I'm sticking with the vinegar as I usually do. This was still so helpful. 0:34 "White vinegar, lemon juice, or baking soda, all give you the same result..." No way! I tried white vinegar and baking soda and my boiler still had mineral deposits. Even after waiting 30 mins and reboiling. I then used citric acid (didn't try lemon but maybe it would've been the same) 2Tbsps per liter of distilled water and IT WORKED in one boil! No waiting. Citric acid is the best!

You did a fantastic job, if you hadn't of said anything at the end I wouldn't have noticed. I re-watched it after you said you'd lip synced and the only thing I could see slightly out was the running of the tap, but that's being pedantic. I've also only recently found out that rusting in a kettle is not uncommon, I'd have thought manufacturers would use materials that were rust resistant but apparently if you keep the kettle clean it's not a problem. Did you know about the oxidation that can occur?

I exclusively use filtered water with my kettles and its a night and day difference! Very little to no build up after months of use!
