Thanks Codie. My take away: 1. Rely on discipline not motivation. 2. Keep the promises I make to myself. 3. Pick three things a year and do them for one calendar year (33% each one). 4. Don’t try to be perfect. 5. Problems are inevitable, we need to continue solving them. 6. I might need to get new friends that challenge me to be better and pull me up (not stay the same). 7. You cannot be what you cannot see. Look for the better version of myself, who I want to be. 8. The success I’m looking for is hiding in the things that I’m avoiding. 9. Focus on what drives revenue to the bank account. Chase the frog (green for money). Might not be easy or tasty but it’s what will bring the cash.
This is why I just wrote a book Habits = Life for women out there who can't seem to realize they can change their life with tiny habits each day .... I lay out my cheat code system and continue to share this concept because I KNOW people can start changing their life by changing their habits which then changes their mind and it compounds into a better life with more revenue and better mindset. Thanks for sharing this on getting rich ;) I enjoyed watching.
I like your comment about cutting of friends. I have an even better rule if we havent had a meaningful conversation in a year or haven't talked at all, you automatically become an acquaintance. Same for relatives.
"The success you are looking for is waiting for you in the work you are currently avoiding." That one piece of advice got me motivated to start immediately on a personal project I've been putting off for ages. And earned you a sub. Thanks Codie!
These are very valuable info for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the knowledge embedded in it. Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession-influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through an F.A
Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of investors raking in 6 to 7 digits in a space of months. So, I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2020, and the least I returned was $180k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

whenever i read "what school failed...etc..." I dont get it. What were people doing for 12 years? I learned nearly ALL of this in school. And it worked. After 12th grade, i joined the Peace Corps, college, then medical school. My parents taught me a few things here and there, but financial, work ethical, real life advice, how to succeed -- i learned in school. I dont know why the other kids werent paying attention.
12:58 it's refreshing to hear someone with her success not say to completely stop drinking alcohol like a lot of these current podcasters. I have come up with some of my best ideas after knocking back a few, being out at the bar with friends, and not feeling so inhibited and self conscious. Sometimes after working my ass off for weeks or months at a time it's so damn fun and rewarding to go on a little celebratory weekend bender to let loose.
Yeah and they give non drinkers a bad name. Reaction to psycoactive drugs is SO personal. Some people feel more sleepy when they drink, some people dont feel sleepy at all. Alcohol makes me feel only drousy and sleepy, so I am actually more energetic and spontaneous if I dont drink. Thats why I dont like drining at parties. But these people are so loud about how not drinking makes the soooo successful and disciplined and it just sounds like they are trying to feel superior for it. As if people that DO drink werent disciplined or something.
@@catvergueiro8905 that's such a good answer! They almost makes it seem you should feel shameful for drinking alcohol. Even tho it's considered a depressant alcohol actually perks me up and makes me feel social. I feel like these guys have one horrible hangover and suddenly alcohol is the worst thing on earth. I can't tell you how many horrible hangovers I've had. But I've also had a pretty exciting life. And consider myself pretty darn disciplined. 🙌
I love what you are doing, and I am a huge fan of "if my desk/ car/ house/body/ mind... life aren't clean I can't be productive". But if you clean your desk in the morning for 5 minutes, and don't leave your desk messy at the end of the day.... the Sheldon Cooper in me is saying you can save that 5 minutes in the morning since your desk was already cleaned by the past you. Also, the contra to that situation is you can just slack a the end of the day and let future you worry about the problem in the morning, if you can function the rest of the day with that hanging over your head.
I've attracted so much money since going completely no contact with my family of origin. The change is amazing, and not just because of the financial drain they were. They cut me down constantly and the terrible things that came into my life were just phenomenal. Now the phenomenon is how many good things I attract :) Seriously. I no longer say "I'm sorry" the minute I wake up, I say "I'm so lucky, rich etc"
The part about stop relying on motivation (an outwardly influence - vs, inspiraton, an inwardly guidance) is a manner to create habit. 30 days of discipline, such as doing pushups each day, creates a stable habit.
Great video. You gave me teacher vibes in this video. I’m not disregarding your other skills but I think your destiny was to teach. The talent you have is helping millions of people and we all appreciate it.🙏🏾Thank you from the younger generation🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
These are extremely useful rules for anyone looking to grow rich. Unfortunately, the majority of individuals that see this video will be unable to implement the ideas. We may not like to acknowledge it, but as Warren Buffett famously stated, investing is like any other profession: it takes a certain amount of knowledge. It's no surprise that some people are losing a lot of money during the bear market, while others are profiting by hundreds of thousands. I'm just not sure how they do it. I now have around $570k to invest in the market.
Dealing across multiple asset classes can reduce risk more effectively than putting all of your money into one. If you don't understand finances properly, see a financial consultant.
Agreed, a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.
'Grace Adams Cook' , is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
"I've been working hard to save for financial freedom and pay off my high-interest mortgage, but the economy has taken a toll on my investments. Should I continue investing in these uncertain markets, or should I explore other options?
Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2020, and I return at least $30k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.
For me, Rebecca Noblett Roberts turned out to be better and smarter than all the advisors I ever worked with till date, I’ve never met anyone with as much conviction.
I just googled her and I'm really impressed with her credentials; I reached out to her since I need all the assistance I can get. I just scheduled a caII.
I did #75 hard in 2019 along with Andy and finished the whole year of #75hard in March 2020.. I love ❤ my Arete Family .. that program gave me REALLY good habits !!
I am so happy to have access to content like this. It is often difficult to find inspiration but this channel has it. Thank you so much, Codie. Also Happy New Year!
Yes! My mom use to tell me all the time you are who you hang with it. I hated hearing that as a kid but now I get it. Im always looking to meet new people and change my friendships when some are dragging me down. I have a few ride or die’s and I adore them. Love this video! Ty Codi for the insights!
Codie, I appreciate you so much! What a great one to kick off the new year with too! Something that resonated pretty loudly with me was to “stop relying on motivation and start relying on discipline.” I’ve been kicking a$$ and taking names lately, can’t wait to tell you all about it🤙🏼
I love all the content but I like what you said about drinking. I quit drinking for years because I was very irresponsible. I started drinking lightly again but using it as a tool to network and be a part of professional groups / circles. I don’t just drink at home by myself or anything.
I applied Akrasia in 2022 to finish my dissertation for MA, without knowing the term. Not only it worked, I also got Merit Award. I started applying what you say my own way, and it works for what I aim to. Thank you.
Codie, great video!!! It's objective, entertaining without being flashy, sincere and reassuring. Thanks! I must admit i didnt tune in for a while, because i found the other videos a bit too "overselling", and i mean it well. This one is more honest, more "proper sincere personal finance" kind of thing. Happy new year and all the best with your book!
Straight forward, good tonality and simple concept! I mean, it's look like what I said to my brother several years ago. Today he is a GM of a business restoration company, and i m so happy for him. It was not easy to talk with him, and he did all you just mention in the video!! Happy to see it, refreshed my mind. Now it s time to think to a new business :) Namaste and thank !!!!
This video has me so pumped. I’m cleaning my desk now. I love, love, love that ritual and I know it’s going to work wonders for my productivity. Thank you 🙏🏾
Codie, your videos are consistently outstanding. The depth and clarity you bring to each topic have immensely enriched my understanding. Watching your content is like attending a masterclass! I also follow Alex Hormozi and find his insights equally valuable. Both of you contribute significantly to our community, making our time investment more than worthwhile. I hope God rewards you with long life, robust health, and continued success. You're not just creating content; you're making a positive difference in our lives. Thank you and keep shining!
I've just realized how true your last point is, I'm in a transitional period of life, working towards a whole new career, and those who I asked to be my mentors, they are all so helpful, whereas those who ""are still the same"" are crabs in a bucket
Much love. Thanks for keeping the good stuff coming, Codie. In listening I realize I did not start 'together' with most of my peers... I started out a bit low, out on the streets and incarcerated briefly several times in my early teens, and so have spent much of my life affiliating with others who started 'low'. It is hard to level up on your own, but the incongruence between who I want to be and who I have become is too great to stay where I am. The good side of feeling isolated and alone a lot is that I have more freedom to create changes in my life.
But look how far you've come; some people have never been in your shoes; but yet still haven't develop your mindset; never give up and never give in; you got this!!!
… I’m constantly battling my brain to be a better person… It’s such a struggle - to the point that the negatives thoughts of “unaliving” myself seemed like a better option.. It’s videos like these though that really help, even if it’s only 1% each day. I don’t know if I’ll ever get to her level of things.. but I can’t just stay where I’m at..
Thank you so much, I paused this video and then cancelled ALL of my consultancy options. It has totally absorbed my life and I have no time to get a step ahead and develop a course. Thanks so MUCH!
Knowledgeable Investors know where and how to put money in order to reduce risk and maximize returns. See a market strategist with experience if you are unable to manage market conditions.
Accurate asset allocation is crucial, I used hedging strategies to allocate part of my portfOlio to defensive assets for market downturns. Expert guidance is vital for achieving this. This approach has helped me stay financially secure for over five years, yielding nearly $1 million in returns on investments.
Thank you, Codie. In this video and the video with Steven and you talk about losing contacts when you are moving forward. I feel the same, at beginning I felt quite lonely, but when I realise I am not alone, it relief me a lot. I am a person who constantly lose old contacts and build up new contacts, especially since I start my entrepreneurship. I feel I hardly have long-term friendships and relationships. Because I am constantly growthing and evolving.
Thank you for this video. What a way to close the year. I learnt some tips, I’ll apply to my trading portfolio. Stop earning with your time, start earning with your mind! Besides who trades the financial market?
I was referring to the stock market but willing to try out other financial markets. I made gains from Nvidia this year and got my eyes on Bitcoin and Solana. How do you trade?
Nvidia was superb this year! I trade based on the season of the market. It gives me a direction on implementing the right strategies for long or short term. I also trade based on the volatility of the market. Although it wasn’t easy till I came across a mentor who helped to keep me in the market loop. My mentor is Bernard Paul.
@@BruceCartwrightt This would definitely act as a deciding factor when implementing your strategies. Do you have any factors you consider when purchasing a stock?
I’m conversant with Paul. Paul demonstrates an excellent understanding of market trends, making well informed decisions that leads to consistent profit
I am inspired by you. In fact, within 6 hours of listening to your video on buying businesses I tested the knowledge. I lined up a deal immediately. Currently moving now to drafting a letter of intent to take over a 38-year-old medical clinic from a motivated seller. Your knowledge and wisdom are real! Current offer is 40% seller financing. I am submitting a letter of intent for creative 1 year 100% seller financing. Thank you, Codie.
Just a note I've found....... the people you are with now will always be an anchor holding you back from where you want to go. You have to grow to get to where you want to go, the people you are with will most likely not want to grow with you......they will hold you back from growing. As you grow, your 5 closest friends will change and will be the people you want to grow into (and if not, then you are not growing!).
You are such a beautiful person inside and out. I've only listened to two of your videos and they resonate deeply with me ❤ your trees love you too dear 💕
In my opinion, a housing market crash is imminent due to the high number of individuals who purchased homes above the asking price despite the low interest rates. These buyers find themselves in precarious situations as housing prices decline, leaving them without any equity. If they become unable to afford their homes, foreclosure becomes a likely outcome. Even attempting to sell would not yield any profits. This scenario is expected to impact a significant number of people, particularly in light of the anticipated surge in layoffs and the rapid increase in the cost of living....
I watched this yesterday and found myself nodding in agreement throughout, especially regarding the paper cut, as I experienced something similar last week. While going through my wash bag, I accidentally caught the tip of my finger on a razor. Well, guess what? I'm sitting here with a plaster on my finger because I've just done it again and immediately came back to listen to this... because I had no business sorting out my wash bag at 10 a.m. when I have focused work to do! Now, I can barely type with a huge plaster on my finger. The cut wasn't so bad the first time, but now it's pretty bad! Message received, thank you, Codie!
Diversification is the secret to optimal performance. This is why I have my interests set on market sectors based on performance and projected growth, such as stock, EV sector, renewable energy, Tech, and Health. Keep investing regularly and you'll be blown away how much it can change in a few short years. Here's to $1 million and to FIRE
Dealing across multiple asset classes can reduce risk more effectively than putting all of your money into one. If you don't understand finances properly, see a financial consultant.
True. My portfolio was diversified across several markets with the help of a financial planner, and were able to achieve over a million in net profit among high dividend yield equities, ETFs, and bonds. It is vital that you have a variety of exposure, including in firms that are currently generating cash flows.
'Rebecca Nassar Dunne’, a highly respected figure in her field. I suggest delving deeper into her credentials, as she possesses extensive experience and serves as a valuable resource for individuals seeking guidance in navigating the financial market.
This reference seems valid.. Just looked up her full name on my browser and found her webpage without sweat, over 24 years of experience is certainly striking! very much appreciate this.
I'd iike to add a big roll over of your files once a year. I do this during the new year week, becaause the cleaned out files in my desk are ready to receive a new year of paperwork. I put the old files into a plastic bin that will be archived eventualy, but for the next month, it's in my office as I keep putting 2023 away. Plus it's when I write down my odometer for the mileage write-off. I include a few filing tips in my book, ':Radically Simple Accounting" that btw, does NOT make me money lol but I am happy to contribute my expertise. More people can afford a book then can afford a consultant. Happy new year Codie and everyone !
Thank you! I am a single mom, I've been thinking about investing going into 2024. I'm starting a business and am about to be financially stable enough to start putting money into the market. My biggest question before I get started is: How do I know if the stock market is too high right now so should I wait for a downturn before investing? Or what type of stocks (ETF, Index Funds, Penny Stocks, High Yield Dividends, etc.) should I buy at different turns in the market?
@sammyphon you're really doing well for yourself, my retirement plans are going down the drain. I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value, I'd rather not reinvent the wheel. Since this strategy works for you, how can I contact your advisor?
Exactly what I’m doing again this week. The smartest thing I’ve ever done was having 30% in cash to buy on the way down in 2021. It hurt watching 30-40% discounts drop to 50, but grabbing Google, NVDIA, Apple, and others near the bottom has paid off. I love the bull outlook but I’m not confident to should hold all equities
I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate the quality of information you give to us. Community is key. Surround yourself with like-minded people who strive to constantly improve and are motivated to continue growing. I am addicted to your style. Thank you for the support I have been desperately looking to find. ✨🔥
No drinking for me I’m clean for 10 years and I need to be around the right people to be more I like what you said about testing the ones closest to you. I never got the right response, I was treated like I was beneath
I believe, by nature, we kind of weed out people who are not vibrating on the same level as we are. This video is the first time I've heard someone actually make it a goal to select the people in their circle even before the circle is established. 👍🏾
Thank you so much Codie, this is genius! I suffer from chronic levels of procrastination to the point I get Imposter Syndrome! Learning about the Akrasia effect was mindblowing to me
Thank you Codie! You have been an inspiration for me as a women and person of color. I love your no BS approach to business, it resonates with me. Your knowledge drops are always a game changer for me. I am looking forward to your book tour. Get to work! I am grateful that you exist.

Hi Cody, thanks for the amazing Girl Power. I really enjoy your motivational speachs. In a world where the attitudes of people are? good is bad and bad is good i love when you use the word discipline. Im glad you parents allow you to graduate, im a Canadian citizen had to go to work at 15 as soon as i arrived in Canada my mom said you need to go to work. I could not go to highschool im glad you had a chance to learn about investing i did not so i wasted my 20s 30s 40s working without investing. Im 52 now its not late. But knowledge is power. I will do all i can to still do well. Thanks bye

@12:00 thank you for sharing about “wanting to murder self” because I’ve definitely surpassed super successfully quarter and midlife crisis and now I’m going from ai consultant to vendor (yeah I can code anything post sucking in the navy and teaching kindergarten for almost a decade), and I thought I was alone but I guess not! So ❤ thank you I needed to hear that’s normal today
Just a note to consider. I have always been keen on getting the things I don't want to do out of the way first. I have not done that in recent weeks? Why? Because the things I don't want to do are $20 an hour administrative tasks, while the deep work, that I am motivated to do, is the skill building, writing, idea establishing, idea honing stuff that has the potential to bring in thousands of dollars per hour of work. I am a musician and an entrepreneur. Playing first thing, strategizing first thing, has actually made it easier to tackle the petty tasks later in the day. Start at 6:00 a.m. without fail. Hit the petty stuff that I don't love after lunch. It's going better.
Theres freedom in knowing thst you dont know what youre doing...it can even feel like love. Its called adventure, becoming, and the unknown. I feel really good now. Its like being a kid again. I want to be a wealthy kiddo.
I am a unicorn. I have entrepreneurs in my family some of whom are earning 7 figures or more a year! Now, they could still be hanging around simply because we are family! LOL! Nevertheless, my sacred circle keeps me accountable, tells me when I am ugly as well as when I am pretty! And, are there for me when I fall, and they are there to pick me up and always say, now the rest is up to you!! For these relationships I am soooo very grateful. Thank you Codie for this video. See you at the top!
My favorite drinks, tequila & red wine. Balance is key. Truth about bigger problems, or also opportunities to rise up, yet feel & understand & embody them to gain wisdom., experience & peace too. Response is key too.
The comedy in Codie's videos is always on point!! Those shoots showing the mess under her desk and her cutting weeds from her backyard made me laugh soooo much! I looove your storytelling style involving straight up truths, jokes, and tons of examples. Thank you!
Great video Codie! Thanks for giving me some items to work on daily to help me level up in 2024! Subscribed and looking forward to more of your content!
If they’re watching this entire video one thing hits me different. The cereal and the frog. it’s so obvious once you stated it but so hard to see it every day. Thanks for the shake up. Totally changed my viewpoint.
The best motivational video ever, filled with actions to take to improve your life. Easy, direct, focused to the point, loved it! Thanks Codie! I feel so grateful I met your channel 😊
And thank you for the content. It's always so good. Your presentation skills, the clarity of your message, and your experience in business are always super super helpful. I really appreciate it. Have a happy New Year! Let's kill it in 2024. I'm sure I'll meet you someday soon

I can't work unless my desk is clear. And always like to clear it up at the end of the day.
The part about stop relying on motivation (an outwardly influence - vs, inspiraton, an inwardly guidance) is a manner to create habit. 30 days of discipline, such as doing pushups each day, creates a stable habit.
I have a lot of admiration for the quality of your work Codie!! You are so inspiring!! Keep going!!
Market behavior can be complex and unpredictable. Mind if I ask you to recommend this particular coach to whom you have used their services?
'Grace Adams Cook' , is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
"I've been working hard to save for financial freedom and pay off my high-interest mortgage, but the economy has taken a toll on my investments. Should I continue investing in these uncertain markets, or should I explore other options?
Just try to diversify your portfolio to other market sectors, that way your investment is balanced and you don’t get to make so much losses.
Would you mind telling me how to contact this specific coach using their service? You seem to have the solution, as opposed to the rest of us.
Discipline and using time blocks works well for me. Thank you for always sharing useful information.
Yes! My mom use to tell me all the time you are who you hang with it. I hated hearing that as a kid but now I get it. Im always looking to meet new people and change my friendships when some are dragging me down. I have a few ride or die’s and I adore them. Love this video! Ty Codi for the insights!
True, and also “you are what you eat”
You hear that all the time. I've never had anyone help me up. I just can't seem to find people that are going to lift me up.
Codie, I appreciate you so much! What a great one to kick off the new year with too! Something that resonated pretty loudly with me was to “stop relying on motivation and start relying on discipline.” I’ve been kicking a$$ and taking names lately, can’t wait to tell you all about it🤙🏼
Oh my gosh you described everything I went through the last 7 years building my business to a T 😄. Thank you for verbalizing this so well!
I’m moving to Costa Rica 🇨🇷 for 6 weeks to start my own business and get paid in USD. Solopreneur-- finally time to give it a go.
Hey there what type of work you have going on over there?
Codie is so point on with her points about wealth and a successful life.
Its 2024 and I will be back in 2025 to check my progress, thanks again for the great content and god bless you always, you are changing many lives!!!
Procrastination is my #1 issue and it must be broken if I want to succeed in my New Business venture! Thanks Codie
I'm Spot on here😊
@John-Jay-Allen Did you get past the procrastination? 😊
Stop I’m getting allergies!
My Sentiments Exactly!!!
I've just realized how true your last point is, I'm in a transitional period of life, working towards a whole new career, and those who I asked to be my mentors, they are all so helpful,
whereas those who ""are still the same"" are crabs in a bucket
Thank you. :) @@frankieroberson3398
Thank you, Cody. Everything you said here is so in line with where I’m at. I’m so glad I found your channel.
I love the way Codie speaks (she says things in an understandable way), this video is great!
I love the content!
10:32 stop being a perfectionist. Keep moving forward. Error - Feedback. Adjust.
Thank you so much, I paused this video and then cancelled ALL of my consultancy options. It has totally absorbed my life and I have no time to get a step ahead and develop a course. Thanks so MUCH!
I have a few questions and i'll be grateful if someone will reply. how can i invest in stocks? or how i can help to grow a portfolio?
Knowledgeable Investors know where and how to put money in order to reduce risk and maximize returns. See a market strategist with experience if you are unable to manage market conditions.
Accurate asset allocation is crucial, I used hedging strategies to allocate part of my portfOlio to defensive assets for market downturns. Expert guidance is vital for achieving this. This approach has helped me stay financially secure for over five years, yielding nearly $1 million in returns on investments.
Hey friend, can I work with your Fiduciary?
Yeah, she is Sophia Nadene Morgan, look her up. Anyone is free to contact her.
Searched the web and saw her profile and accreditations, someone with great experience I must say, thanks!
She always delivers good content. I trade the financial market. Which aspect of the financial market are you referring to?
Thank you, Codie.
this woman is so incredibly good at content creation after all these business its facsinating
Thanks
No problem, thank you!
3:45 Organization not cleanliness. But if you are having trouble with organization clean up the area. You will find things as you are cleaning.
Difference between earning money with time and other way is so precious
Thank you Codie!! This is very inspiring and gives me some actionable steps. I do appreciate the content you provide!
One of my biggest Inspirations right here absolutely love the positivity and the leadership she shows
In my opinion, a housing market crash is imminent due to the high number of individuals who purchased homes above the asking price despite the low interest rates.

You seem to know the market better than we do, so that makes great sense. Who is the guide?
'Rebecca Nassar Dunne’, a highly respected figure in her field. I suggest delving deeper into her credentials, as she possesses extensive experience and serves as a valuable resource for individuals seeking guidance in navigating the financial market.
This reference seems valid.. Just looked up her full name on my browser and found her webpage without sweat, over 24 years of experience is certainly striking! very much appreciate this.
This is good stuff, Codie. This is the first video that I put in my "Success 2024" playlist. Thank you for the video!
I LOVE the Hemingway quote. As a fellow Austinite, I couldn't agree with that one more. I can't wait for your BOOK! Go Codie, GO!
Ahhhh yay!!!
Thanks for sharing. searched for her full name and her website popped up

Hi Cody, thanks for the amazing Girl Power. I really enjoy your motivational speachs. In a world where the attitudes of people are? good is bad and bad is good i love when you use the word discipline.
8:00 Discipline. (Commitment) 9:46 > Social accountability.
You give so much content that is so valuable. Please continue to give us this stuff. PLEASE
