You got it so wrong re: the Classic Flap. The Classic flap with the iconic CC turnlock closure was the brainchild of the late Karl Lagerfeld in 1983. The bag style you were referring designed by Gabrielle Coco Chanel was the 2.55 bag or the bag women refer to now as the re issue released in 1955. 🖤🤍
There seems to be this obsession with whether products are made in Europe or in Asia. Nothing has been made in a single country since 1990s, also there are amazing craftsman everywhere in the world. They are not limited to France and Italy. The issue is the quality of the primary product namely the leather. People believe any nonsense they get told by these luxury companies, Chanel uses the same leathers just like any other company, the difference lay in which grain layer you commission and how you have it treated. That treatment happens in places like Morocco, India, Russia and Brazil. It is labour intensive and the smell is awful - imagine urine, ammonia, lime etc all used to soften and break the fibres. Nothing glamorous, it's all marketing. You can make your own "caviar" leather and then stamp press it to get pebbled look with a pattern. Don't fall for their hype, it's an illusion to make you think that bag is so amazing and therefore super expensive.
It feel so weird to me when people want their "money worth" in a luxury item. These brands are charging for their names and the exclusivity in carrying them. It's not about the superior quality of a product! It has not been this way since the 60s when Yves Saint Laurent introduced ready-to-wear in place of haute couture.
@daniellenichole9047 It mostly make sense if you collects for the sake of hobby, live or work in "hostile" multimillionaire environments that constantly demand proof that you belong between them or to show off to people in social media. The quality and services are average, considering the price. Sometimes, the Sales Assistant can treat you poorly and even try to sell you a defective item on purpose if they see you are a first-time shopper or don't have a large enough spending budget.
I was just at a party with my vintage LV shopper bag and I met someone with a 2024 channel mid size bag. The leather on her price hiked bag was visibly of worst quality than mine. Incredible
I really love kislux bags. The fabric is very good. The golden embellishments add a touch of beauty. When I went to the church, I received some praise.
I'd rather buy a $300 knockoff of a kislux and have $3000 in the bank. At the end of the day it's just a bag and will wear out like any other bag. The cost of the raw materials isn't that high. The real question is, how much do you value the authenticity?
I bought a canvas LV bag with my first bonus and within 2 years the purse was cracked/broken in multiple places and the store refused to repair or replace it. I don't know what resale value this crap has. I ended up donating it... well maybe I could buy a fake LV from kislux but these designers/robber barons don't even think about taking a dime from me. This one satisfies my fantasy of many authentic products and I can afford to buy them.

Ah okay, thank you for the correction ❤️
People just need to stop buying....🤷♀️
I think that may be up next
Goes to show most ppl don’t have personal style. I understand buying unique bags but everyone goes for what’s “classic”.
I think you can wear a classic bag and still have personal style but I get your point

I think a lot of people relate 'made in france' with quality, which of course not always the case. I agree it has a lot to do with marketing
It's simple, only buy vintage items and perfume. Stop buying these overly expensive bags from any of the fashion houses. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️

They are definitely charging a premium for their name
Me personally I’m not going to $3500 for a bag just because of the name and it was only made for $40

Chanel should’ve respected its position as little sister to Hermes. It would’ve made its money in its own lane.
I think so too
She would be turning in her grave to know black people wear her items. She was 100% against ethnically different people.
This wouldn't surprise me
That’s why I stopped rocking anything Chanel including their perfume
They need to do just limited drops
I think they might try that, mimic hermes a lil more
I call it “GreedY”
Iv heard it called that too 🙈
This is why I stopped buying and my closet is beginning to be full of Tory Burch.
I definitely get it, Tory Burch is cute
My chanel bag will be a knock off
Does anyone else feel that the Birkin looks like it's for our grandma? I am sorry but I will always pick Chanel over any Hermes lol
😅 I see what you mean. I think it is a very classic style though, worn right I think it can fit into most wardrobes

Them Chanel bags are cheaply made. There’s no way I would spend thousands for those cheap azz bags
Obnoxious salesperson. It’s a NO for me. A senior that acts like an entitled brat!!!
Good Customer service is so important!
I’d rather buy bitcoin!
alright
Backpack kislux - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym
Love the clean and classic design here! *esluxy*
