      I'm actually heading up to Hatcher's Pass this weekend! Gorgeous scenery. It's becoming more peopled in that area now but I suppose it was just a matter of time.

    Went to Palmer for a mission trip earlier this summer, fell head over heels in love with it. Working to complete my vet assistant degree, and I’m high tailing it out of Cali with my best friend and heading straight for Palmer!!🥰🥰

    After 38+ years of living in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, this looks like a little piece of heaven--the mountains are amazing. I am hoping to get out of the desert and am looking for work up there, as I am just a few months shy of 60 and ready for one more grand adventure (before I get too old for grand adventures!). Being an outdoorsman at heart, I cannot imagine too many areas nicer than this, that's for sure, and what a State to explore when you have extra time--amazing!

    Will be moving to the Palmer area May 2022. Been there twice December 2017 wanted to make sure my wife could handle the cold and August 2018 to go to the fair and will be going again September 2021to see my first fall since 1989 when I lived in Ohio. Have lived in Florida since 1990. Never have I felt more at peace and at home than in Palmer.

    Town I'm in now is around 80K with surrounding (Ogden, UT) but grew up in a town about 1/3 the size of Palmer (664 in Imboden, AR). I love smaller places and if I can find one, I'm looking to settle in the Palmer area over Wasilla. No desire to live in Anchorage even though I will be working there.

    My sister lives in Palmer and we are considering moving there. Plan on visiting next summer to check it out. We are moving out of california within 2 years! After seeing this video I would trade my little central valley town for it in a heartbeat. All the good things about living in a small community without the taxes and gang activity because we live near fresno. Not like it is going to cost me anymore live there than I pay here.

    I live in the foothills of the Appalachian moutains (NC) and the terrain looks very similar. I am looking to relocate since my small county has been gentrified by people from New England and Florida. We now have 90,000 people here and it's going up everyday. Palmer looks very seductive.

    I’m ready to get out of Florida and head to Alaska. Tired of everything about Florida it’s an overrated place to live in, the only thing really going for it are of course the beaches other than that the people are shitty, the traffic sucks, it’s a tourist trap doesn’t feel like home and I’ve lived here for 20+ years. Ready for change I’ve visited Alaska and appreciate being surrounded by mountains, the people are unique they aren’t in your face, doesn’t feel like every aspect of your life is rushed, you aren’t bombarded by advertisements and the food and restaurants are enjoyable.
    I’m ready to get out.

    • @alaska_realtor

      @@screamingtrees9619 Got it. Palmer would be about a 40 minute commute. Usually the roads aren't really congested so it's not bumper to bumper traffic though. Are you alright with that drive to Anchorage?

      @screamingtrees9619 2 ปีที่แล้ว
