bro that just happened TWICE with me. first time was in the 4th round, the game crashed and disconnected and i couldn't rejoin but? i got no penalities at all? it was like the match didn't even happen. then in another game my tank DCed halfway through us wiping the floor with the other team. weird
Mythic skins are causing those disconnects. Blizz deactivated them for the time being.
legit, happened to us too, threw my duo out of the game when we were hard winning. No ability to reconnect, no penalty.

Side note for us Zarya Mains: The +25% tank movement passive also affects yourself. In other words, Zarya's right click + jump has been nerfed. She barely jumps at all anymore :(

Sale thing for genji, he used to "one shot" with a dash and 3 shurikens in the head, now he needs a melee, and tracer is no longer one shotable with a dash 3 body shurikens and a melee
2:18 that's not exactly the best example since JQ seems to carry her speed boost from her ult in the boop, making it incredibly powerful as seen.

It does seem like a nerf, the zoning aspect is less now that it moves through faster. We'll have to see if the movement speed increase actually makes it so people have less chance to escape.
@@stumbling_ Thing is that you can still just sidestep it. You still can't aim at a guy send it and it will get a kill. Unless they are restricted by walls or something the dragon wont kill anyone without cc. ;s They should have increased the damage of dragon as well.

The Dragon "buff" is not that good in my opinion. With more speed it spends less time dealing damage to someone and people can get out of it easier by heading in the direction it came from more consistently.
I think was the speed the rate of damage also went up right?
Does take long standing in that dragon to die though, so since it moves faster the surprise will be bigger and therefor maybe more lethal as well.

@@FairyFarron and it's still the worst ult in the game. moving a bit faster without any change in size means that moving to the side of the dragon is still easy even for bronze players. hanzo needs a change that helps the hero not a random "buff" that hanzo mains never wanted
@@mentarium9741 I mean at least it can't be blocked or stopped like many other ultimates. I'm not a top ranking player but the ultimate doesn't seem too bad if your placement is proper especially in team fights
@@FairyFarron It's very bad, this coming from a Hanzo main. We used it for zoning or isolating enemies. Now people can just sidestep or use any immortality and the dragon will go away faster.

They said they were buffing hanzo, and they at best changed him and realistically berfed him, that's the bottom line here regardless of why they did it.

Devs are stupidly braindead, they always were. It ended up being a cosmetic change, or should I say, something they can brag about by saying "We did something! Yeah!"
its because too much of the DPS players are playing a narrow meta. At high ranks when 60% of players die within 3 seconds of taking damage each death its annoying. They are focusing on balancing rather then finding ways to make tanks funner so players dont only play tracer lol
The armor rework is literally a just a damage meta shift, has nothing to do with tanks. Burst hits way harder tick does way less
Yeah, when I played tank day of Patch, I was floored with how quickly I was still being melted. It’s like they ghost applied the changes to tanks but actually applied to DPS.
@benroth5184 Yeah I tried out ball first game, they played Cass and hanzo and I disappeared instantly anytime I was in LOS of both. Armor is so bad against burst damage now it may as well not exist.

Cmon man, reaper already wasnt that good and now he has a 28-42% damage reduction vs tanks?! They already increased his spread by 30% and reduced his pellet damage in the OW2 changeover, and it's basically only gotten worse from there. The only slight upside is a minor buff to his ult, but his ult is already so situational it's often better to not use it

Can Reaper be a good hero for once please for the love of god. He doesn’t really have an identity anymore since he loses most 1v1’s against tanks easily and his wraith form has become more and more less effective. Compare him to Tracer he’s useless. His close range game is honestly pretty abysmal to what it should be lmfao.
Rework is incoming. I sure hope it's a massive one. You said it right, he has no identity. Because he's OW1 tailored character in a very different game. As of right now, only identity he has is bronze-low silver lobby stomper, flanker for people who physically can't play Tracer or Genji because they're bad at a game.
His rework should make him not only good for normal and high skill player lobbies, but also make sure that he would not be oppressive for low skill players. I know chad alpha gamers are not thinking about low skill players, but they're bread and butter of Blizzard, if reworked Reaper would be top 1 character for low skills he'd be nerfed to the ground again. And i doubt OW2 balance team could do this, they has to skills for such a complex task.

Like, his kit is not necessarily bad, but they took away the thing he had going for him, his damage, and forced him to kiss his targets to get full damage, making him a better hero would mostly require a few number changes, a full reworks sounds really unnecessary
honestly, why not play torb.. hes got a crazy health pool and his upclose shotgun is just as effective.. plus he has long range.. and the turret... or just play mcree.. he is sooo op right now its rediculous.. and if you read threw that spreadsheet him and ashe just got massive buffs.. and tracer and soujurn got nerfed really bad.. there needs to be a middle ground. they always swing things too far.
@@beefwantko7269 Reaper is my favorite character in the game. There’s always better options for different circumstances and situations, but the problem is that Reaper is outperformed in almost every category he’s useful in. If you need a tank buster, bastion is a better option. And if you need a flanker, Tracer is the move. Since he has two shotguns that are pretty lacking, he’s pretty limited to his damage capabilities and isn’t very fluid. He needs to be strong in either flanking or tank busting. Not less than mid at both.

As a hanzo player, I do not like this. I'd argue this a nerf and makes dragonstrike less effective as I can't block off chokepoints for as long anymore.
As a hanzo player this is W, peak 4400SR

Hanzo also got pretty mad buffs to his arrow/storm arrow dmg against armor, I guess blizzard further wants to solidify tank spamzo
instead of a buff I'd call it an adjustment. it's better in some situations and worse in some others. but overall I'd say it's a positive change.
Its plain obvious the balance team looks purely at statistics and call it a day without even considering fixing actual problems.
Every rework they recently made did not solve any of the issues with said character, I bet they dont even play test their own heroes against counters.
about that Losing-streak change. i can just say, i lost like 13 of 15 Matches yesterday...from Dia to Plat. also a lot of games where ppl crashed after the patch

Edit: Just saw on a reddit post that they temporarily disabled them as they were causing the game to crash for some players. They also removed any warnings you may have gotten for "leaving" the game
Yeah there must be some kind of bug. All mine are gone as well. And the mythic shop isn’t there currently either.
They've temporarily disabled mythic skins and the mythic shop, according to Aaron the skins were somehow causing disconnection problems, at the time I'm typing this they already allow you to use your skins again, but the mythic shop is still disabled for now
The tank power creep is truly an overwatch moment. Sig is already really solid on certain maps. I think they overturned ball too. The new armor and knock back will make doom the weakest tank. I’m no one-trick anymore but I don’t believe these changes are healthy for the game. The tanks with the most survivability will benefit while the weaker tanks will struggle harder. Seems like there will a lot of Ram games this season

Does it do less overall DMG when the enemies are not moving? In grav dragons for example, because it moves faster and is in contact with the enemies for a shorter amount of time?
If true, this could mean that for example Lucio ult would be more viable as a counter than before

I’m not a fan of the new pressure modifier. I feel like it’ll help bronze players get to gold even if they don’t deserve it which would mean there would be a wide skill gap between actual golds and artificially boosted ones.
And for champions, they would essentially be smurfing in low gm lobbies and it’d be harder to hit the rank than it already is

Yoooo, they brought back old armor! Never understood the change, you could achieve the same effect as the set percentahe damage reduction by increasing health. Armor used to be and will again be a fine tool to tweak burst vs sustained damage

I'm starting to wonder if there's more to the heal passive buff than "10+max/20", because it feels like Tracer regens about just as fast. I even tried out CactusPuppy's dmg and hp display mode myself, and it has her at like 21 hps

So many bros mad about Hanzo's ult. It takes an entire two seconds to melt most DPS and Support if they're inside the Dragonstrike, making it faster isn't gonna change that.
Even when used as a zoning tool to push the opponent off the point in Overtime, the faster Drago still has plenty enough time to scare them off if they don't have an effective counter.
But, what do I know, I don't even play DPS, so... 🤷♂️

His buffs are absolutely crazy and I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets nerfed or even reverted next patch. His boop will chunk and build his ult faster, his mines now one shot tracer, and the movement lockout is going to make it way easier to line up his ult slam combo.
@@Djitterbug Idk as a ball player, these buffs are things that were sorely needed. Minefield is a joke of an ultimate, second only to doom (my other main, go figure). And no, minefield can't 1 shot tracer still. New minefield damage is 165, tracer is 175 now, not 150. Movement lockout makes no difference with the amount of burst healing and get out of jail free cards, and anyone with more than 0 eyes can see the very obvious telegraphed move every ball main does when deploying minefield. Very easy to counter or even cancel if you're unlucky.
All of these changes are just compensation to the horrible state he was in after the s9 changes. His "rework" adds a few more techs but he's still a very low damage tank that requires serious map and hero knowledge to make use of.
@@_XRMissie Ah yeah, I forgot tracer has 175 health now. I was being exaggerative for sure but I still think it's very strong, and I'm saying that as a ball main too. Minefield is FAR from the second worst ult in the game. It's the best zone control ult in the game, and people aren't always looking around for mines during a teamfight. Whenever I get ball ult I'm always sure I'll get some value out if it, which isn't true for most of the roster.
Also sure, kiriko cleanse and movement abilities exist, but they counter everything, not exclusive to ball at all. Movement lockout is still huge.
Idrk what "state" you want him to be in. He's always going to be that weird, niche pick that requires you to know the map and hero better than anyone else, his high skill ceiling is his appeal and what makes him fun. If anyone could pick him up and use him, it wouldn't be ball.
@@Djitterbug I think the other guy meant second worst tank ult in the game (I personally think it’s the worst one and would say doom’s ult is actually good). Moreover, mines doesn’t rly get much value if u face a high mobility comp which is pretty common in OW2. Personally, I’m usually sure I’ll get value with most other ults so I think it’s just a u issue with how u use them (unless it’s reaper or phara ult)
@@listlie Ah yeah, mines is certainly on the lower end of tank ults on a tier list, but the trade off is that he’s hes the most hyper mobile AND tankiest hero in the game by default. If he was given more front loaded damage he’d frankly be broken.
Also Dooms ult is for sure worse. It’s an outdated leftover ability from his dps assassin days and doesn’t fit his role as a tank at all. Its main purpose is the same as Winston’s, you initiate a dive, commit everything, and ult when you’re in trouble, except Winston’s resets his health to 1000 and creates MORE pressure and space. Doomfists ult literally takes him, the TANK, out of the game. It rarely kills and it’s both conceptually and practically a bad tank ult.
I think they need to remove the negative modifiers from affecting you if someone on your team leaves before the halfway point of the match as at that point the other team has an unfair advantage and losing becomes much more likely(near certainty) regardless of player skill
Overwatch is such a weird ass game like junkrat doing a STAGGERING 5 more damage with his grenades is a massive buff and hanzo's ult moving faster is a nerf

The hanzo buff seems more like a nerf, I always saw his ult as a way to make an area inaccessible, now that it’s faster it might no be as useful but that’s just my view on it, I do not play hanzo at all so idk
It's only a buff when used against a wall that enemy is leaning against, that's the only time where a dragonstrike will even hit anyone properly on its own. Otherwise it's a massive nerf.

I feel like the last point was a massive buff to winning streaks. As if you’re on a winning streak you will now be more likely to be out on the lower winning chance team.
This means that if you continue your winning streak you will also get consistent “up hill battle” bonus.
It is quite literally the exact opposite; players on loss streaks will be put on the team who is more likely to win, making them more likely to lose, and more likely to stifle someone else’s winning streak.
As a Lucio main I hate the knockback changes already ;(

The devs clearly don't know how to play hanzo
so now if I'm just winning more matches, I will get forced by the matchmaker to play with bad players. as if the rank ladder doesn't have enough bad players to ruin your games, now you WILL be forced to play with them lol.

Next planned patch changes: growing the team with a second tank, giving Orissa a shield and damage amplification ult, allowing bastion to siege permanently, buffing Symetra's turret damage.... ;-)
The changes in MMR handling actually feel like a potential improvement.
I wonder though if searching for a wide range match will still take 20 minutes in the silver-plat range like before
The Hanzo Dragonstrike "buff" honestly feels like a mixed nerf. Think about it-Hanzo's dragons do 150 damage/sec on the outer rims, and 300 closer to the center.
So while they increased its movement speed to better catch people that are loose and running around _(but still won't kill anyone because let's face it, Hanzo ult is kinda sucky when it's not being shot down a narrow corridor or on the payload to block OT progress),_ against stationary enemies, it's actually *_worse_* now.
I want to see Dragonstrike vs a regular Hog's 'Take a Breather', with and without the support of an Ana nade, just so I can get a good visual of the change.
They‘re changing Junkrats damage per Shot but genji cant Nano Blade the way it was bc of the Health increase of every Hero
That Hanzo buff is an absolute tragedy. It's clear to me the devs do not give a shit about or respect Hanzo mains. Smh
