I've been enthralled with Kamakura as both a character and a design since he was introduced in SpyTroops so I'm glad to see they did a superb job updating him to the Classified standard. Hopefully his V3/4 outfits from VvV get an update in the not to distant future so he can have his Dragon Sword or whatever it was called.
Completely agree but do you mean introduced to the toyline in Spy Troops? As far as I know he wasn't in any media beyond the comics until Valor vs Venom but I never say a Spy Troops Kamakura, I just had the VvV one.
@@nickpesetsky1897 the first toy line appearance was him packed in with I think a Night Creeper in ST. I never followed the comics, especially not back then, so I can't speak of any earlier appearances there if applicable.
Good review. Your review made him seem much more dynamic than when I took him out of the box. He's an okay figure, a little underwhelming for a "deluxe" figure. Your pics at the end made me see him a little differently. Good job. 👍
Brad?!?! I know you meant to say Wade. Since Sean is the adopted son of Wade Collins, Fred II…. 😂 also o prefer the Fwoosh hoods up and down for all my classified ninja. Either midnight or forest green ninja. Figure is dope, but not for a deluxe price.
You know, if Hasbro was going to borrow from Storm Shadow, figure-wise, I really wish they would have used the slightly improved articulation Storm Shadow has. Storm Shadow has forearm swivel. At present, no other Classified figure has that. They clearly had the opportunity since the arms are pin-less and a new sculpt. I would have been okay with calling this figure "deluxe" if he came with at least ONE original weapon accessory. Like his three staff nunchuck that he originally came with. Re-use of Snake Eyes Origin weapons and Snakes Eyes and Timber set was a cheap shot by Hasbro. Also, the feet are re-use of Storm Shadow :). BTW, the staff is technically a Yari, but double-bladed; which never existed in feudal Japan. The weapon was originally designed to knock Samurai off their horse..but...hey...why not have a double-bladed version :).
This was one I definitely wasn't expecting. Kamakura was from the era of G.I. Joe I grew up with, so it kind of caught me off guard to see him among some of the more classic characters.
good review bro so that s his story then... a Fred clone s son? wicked oh, sounds shady... I d trust the files on this one this is the soap opera business I was talking about! the comics! do you care about his family ties just for relations s sake? I don t care his mother cooked so many pies, the Mayor made a pass at her , and it was Duke s cousin, related to lady J, who had the floor btw, but also still had her cherry... he looks ok, but Nunchuk looks better, I can understand people getting in the comics s story, but I liked the files more a cool addition to any fan of the lore - story a green ninja is a natural fit for military good show bro
Amazon exclusive, and I’m definitely not interested in the backstory of this char. Kama is just mad random to me.I’m waiting for Slice and Dice (Ninja Force)
So nice, I had to watch this twice. Best Kamakura review I've seen so far.
Picking this up for sure after seeing this thanks for the uploads D drink yo water
that back ground music at the end hit different
D, amazing! Another banger for the collection.

Agreed, the figure has virtually no head articulation to look up or down.

such a great figure and his story in Devils Due was top tier
Not really a GI Joe dude but always loved the figures and your vids on the classified line got me maybe wanting to buy a few.

What are your army builder on the thumbnail?
After watching this and getting some history of him I’m going to buy him on eBay right now!
I’m surprised we actually got this guy before Jinx.
Great vid. I just got mine and the torso is SUPER LOOSE. Yours looks fine. Did you have any issues with that torso?
My figure's right arm is falling off at the delt section.
Great video and pictures 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Dammit, you're making me regret passing him up now - stop it! Nice review as always.
Check your local Ross if you have one. They're selling them for $7.99.
