    Thanks Again for your content! As always, very informative, a non bias, experienced based opinion from your everyday racer, like myself. You seem to provide all the answers to my queries, as you did when I was purchasing a dropper for my RC. Man I love this bike! Keep up the great work!! yes I've just ordered a pair of scorpions XC RC Prowalls

    Super sick bike. Yeah those tires are outstanding xco tires. Used by the trek factory racing team this year.

    Pirelli really need to step up their distribution... I had to buy mine from Italy but I'm in the UK

      Yup. Got mine from Spain and I’m in US.

      @@addictcyclist they are doing some great stuff but it's the same brands you see on the shelves at all the bike shops. I mean an inner tube setup that is lighter in weight than going tubeless, mind boggling

    Cheers! How did the race go? I got myself a set (after hunting them down for literal months online) on my hardtail and was blown away at the rolling speed and grip that you BOTH get from these. It seems unnatural to not have to compromise on one or the other! I’ve explored Pirelli tires more and more over the last couple years and another, more subtle trait I’ve come to appreciate is their « high energy compound ». Try and feel this if you can. My only complaint would be that they don’t make them in 2.6 (yet)!

      4th 🫣 these are the best xc tires I have ever ridden. Roll like hell and bite like a trail tire when leaned over. I have my aspens up for sale on e bay 😂

    Maybe XC M front ant RC rear could be best combo for technical xc or downcountry?
    Will say this RC are better than fasttracks, another combo for the sams use could be Ground Control front/ fastrack rear
    Finlly in rocky terrain this RC are easy to flat?
    Thanks for the feedback

    • @addictcyclist
      @addictcyclist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The xc rc is an great front tire as well. The M def more aggressive but 150g heavier if your counting grams. I ran the Fastrak’s on my s works. Xcrc faster rolling and grip on par. I don’t have enough rides on them to comment on rocky terrain but the compound is more durable than control casing from specialized and a little tougher than Maxxis exo.

    Thanks for sharing, I am keen on these too. How confident did you feel under wet / mud conditions? and what about going on 2.22 at the rear? I guess you have the 30mm inner carbon rims right?

    • @addictcyclist
      @addictcyclist  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Still need to be cautious but more confident on these than aspens, recon race, and all the specialized tires I ran. I have 2.4 front and rear on 29mm Id rims

  • @ClownPatroI

    What is your internal rim width? I am running 25mm and I have noticed the scorpions dont blow up as wide as the reckon races on my rim, which seems like a downside grip wise.
    The difference is about 5mm

    currently have schwalbe racing ray and racing ralph on my scalpel, have you ridden those how do they compare? would you go for same scorpion xc rc on front and back? ordered some lefty servicing tools from bikeinn spain at a good price before they're the only shop to sell these in the UK but you have to pay a brexit tax/delivery for the privilege!!

    • @addictcyclist
      @addictcyclist  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have not ridden schwalbe but friend does and he rides my vacation home spark which also has the Pirelli xc rc. Says they roll just as good but Pirelli has more grip and can take more of a beating on the hard coral and coral sand in Florida.

    Hi! I ride on paved forest paths with an electric bike. Currently on the front I have: Maxxis Minion DHF, 3C, Maxterra, EXO+, TR, 29" x 2.5" WT and Maxxis Minion DHR II, 3C, Maxterra, EXO+, TR, 29" x 2.4" WT. I think this tire is too aggressive for my routes. I'm thinking about changing to Vittoria Mezcal 2.35 or PIRELLI SCORPION 2.4. Do you think these tires will be suitable for eMTB on forest paths?

    • @addictcyclist
      @addictcyclist  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey your current tires are pretty aggressive lol but the Scorpions are a little too racy for an e bike. Maybe the Pirelli scorpion M
