  • Today I installed a Hot Racing Blue Aluminum Steering Assembly, Traxxas Blue Heavy Duty Suspension Arms, Hot Racing Aluminum Axle Carriers, and a new Solar Flare E-Revo 2.0 body. I purchased all of these items on AMainHobbies.com except for the axle carriers. Those were purchased on Amazon.com. Overall, I am quite happy with the results of this build. However, the Hot Racing Axle Carrier pillow ball aluminum set screw retainers were an extremely tight fit and I was afraid I might strip them. Thankfully, I didn't strip any of the set screws. Also, the Traxxas steering link rod ends were too tight a fit in the mounting positions on the Hot Racing Aluminum Steering Assembly and they needed to be sanded down so that they moved freely in the mounts. These issues aren't deal breakers, but were definitely annoying in an otherwise pleasant build. Eleven hours of work condensed into 32 minutes of video…lol…good times🤪.

    Very nice build !!
I miss mine so much, I would go crazy with it triple backflips and quadruple backflips like nothing

Thanks, I’ve always been a fan of the Revo chassis. I have a Nitro Slayer, which is based on the Nitro Revo with shorter suspension arms. It needs an engine rebuild though. The piston and sleeve need to be changed out. I will definitely be holding onto this E-Revo though. I just love the way it handles and looks going through tight turns.

It’s just a cheap light kit I purchased on Amazon a few years ago: a.co/d/efMmfNW

Hi i have a summit i know itsa lil different but i put a mamba 6s system in it i keep break the plastic driveshafts i havent heard many good things about the aluminum ones what would you recommend

I know Traxxas used to make steel constant velocity driveshafts for the T-Maxx, E-Maxx, Summit, and E-Revo 1.0. I found these on Amazon, they look just like them and are cheaper. I’m not sure how they will hold up to 6s, but I’m sure 4s would be fine. The transmission and diffs might not last long on 6s in a Summit as well. Good luck and here is a link to the driveshafts: ARRCat Drive Shaft CVD Upgrades Parts for 1/10 T-Maxx/E-Maxx/Revo,4PCS Front Rear #45 Steel Axles Driveshafts Hop-up,Replace #5451R,Navy Blue a.co/d/08EVoPFd

Thank you so much I keep it on 4s most of the time lol but the castle system I’m using is not the new version they have have with smooth acceleration it bogs a lot so I might look for a new system

Damn, It’s sad they discontinued it, I was legit saving $1,200 to save up and buy myself and my cousin two to race each other, I spent about a year and a half setting saving up just to find out it’s discontinued. I already own two rustlers, got a slash last month, summit 1/16 is broken, I have an X-maxx and an older XO1 somewhere in my house but I’m really bummed out; I bought some parts for it already (I got blue shocks, LED kit and some new wheels in a matte black) so I’ll try to find someone on ebay to sell one for cheap, I was also wondering if you would recommend me getting a stand for them? Or like somewhere to store them because I’ve been storing them in my basement in one of the rooms I have and its getting full of stuff. Thanks for the video!

Yeah, I hadn’t been to my local hobby shop in a couple months and when I went there to get some parts I couldn’t believe it when the owner told me they had discontinued the E-Revo. She said the Sledge is replacing the E-Revo. They are similar, but in my opinion they are quite different. That inboard suspension sets the Revo platform above a lot of others as far as handling goes. E-Bay might be a good place to find an inexpensive E-Revo although I can see them going up in price at some point, since they are a discontinued model. I have all of my rigs on stands. They look better on display with a stand and it is not good to store a rig with the suspension compressed for an extended period of time. I just purchased a Traxxas UDR, already started upgrading it, and absolutely love it. I also have a Traxxas Blazer TRx4, 4tec 3.0 Corvette Stingray, Rustler 4x4 VXL, Maxx V1, mini E-Revo, Slayer, Losi Mini T, some 1/24th crawlers from Axial/FMS/Kyosho and an Arrma Felony…good times🤪.

@@beyondthebluerc1 Nice, Yeah I found one for $399 (Thats the bid at the moment and I’ll try to get it to 425 so I hopefully get it) and found a couple stands for it, It’s crazy that these places like hub hobby, I went a couple days ago and all there was on display were the Xmaxx, another rustler, a slash, and a bronco, I asked where parts for my rustler would be because some stuff was re-organized and found a couple bodies for the Erevo 2.0 in Blue/green and the orange/blue, I asked if they had any in stock and the last one was sold a week before.
I have my Summit, XO1 and the Xmaxx on stands and the rest I made a custom stand because I was short on cash at the time. I was thinking about putting the slash on a stand because its been sitting on the floor for a few months but I’ve been driving it about once a week, I might try to get that E-revo 2.0 though, It seems like a good deal for $399 and the rest are like $500-700 range now, The one I saw is in good condition and looks nice and not too used so I’ll bid on it soon. Nice!

Cool, that sounds like a good price point for that E-Revo. Hopefully you can get it. I found a Solar Flare E-Revo body on Amainhobbies and a special edition black and silver E-Revo body at my local hobby shop. There is still plenty of parts support on Amainhobbies, but I’m not sure how long that is going to last🤔.

@@beyondthebluerc1 Okay, I can check there. I didn’t have enough time to bid on it and I would have gotten it but I was eating out. Is there a big difference between the 1/8 and 1/10? I can’t find any 1/8 erevo anywhere and I found a couple but the prices were jacked up to $650 minimum, Thanks I will try looking in Amainhobbies.
I just found one there said $549 but its out of stock, Hopefully I can find one for under $700 because alot of them are $600-650, Shipping is probably expensive too.

@@beyondthebluerc1 I didn’t bid in time because my cash came too late, I crashed my Rustler just now at 45ish MPH into a parked car, I can’t see outside when our street has no lights outside but I can post a picture of it; Its not too bad but I feel bad.

Will we still be able to get erevo parts ?

    • @beyondthebluerc1
      @beyondthebluerc1  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes, Traxxas is supposed to maintain parts support for the E-Revo for the next few years. I am slowly stocking up on parts like the drive cups that do tend to wear out over time. I bought the truck 5 years ago and I am on my second set front and rear.

I might get a Sledge at some point, but I just can't part with my E-Revo. The Sledge is close, but that inboard F1 type suspension makes the E-Revo suspension amazing. Plus, I just bought a Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer and I'm having a blast upgrading and wrenching on that rig right now. I'm really not into bashing my RCs that much any more. I actually have more scale rigs than bashers at this point. My bashers include the Traxxas Maxx, Rustler 4x4 VXL, E-Revo 2.0, Mini E-Revo, Nitro Slayer and Losi Mini T 2.0. My Scale rigs include, Traxxas TRx4 Blazer, 4tec 3.0 Corvette, Unlimited Desert Racer, Vaterra Camaro, Vaterra Ascender Chevy Suburban, FMS 1/24 Toyota FJ Cruiser and Chevy C10, Axial 1/24 Jeep and Chevy, Kyosho 1/24 Toyota 4Runner and last but not least an Arrma Felony. Anyway, my feelings are a bad day RCn is still better than a good day at work. Take care buddy and have fun RCn when you can.
