Applying color! Part 1 of 3 color application to turtles and frog statue

  • This video demonstrates experimenting with applying watered down acrylic paints for adding color over statues that have been base coated and contrasted (dry brushed).
    Don’t like the watered down colors you apply? You can simply rinse off before dry and try others.
    I find choosing 4-6 colors to work with and blend in areas works best
    Practicing this method is fun and it’s easy to go over if you aren’t satisfied with results

    Hi Tammy! Are all the paints Semi gloss?? Like the white for the bass coat as well as the colored paints.

      I use semi gloss and satins. I never use flat! Although it is recommended by many for base costs, I do not like it at all.

      I do not recall the color names. However, I’ll try to include the color names in future vids! I have most of my colors custom matched
